My mother, brother & I went to Diana at Hawleywood Photography while I was visiting in Albany, OR…read morefrom Canada. For us, it was a once in a lifetime photo shoot. Some of the photos she took were good but the prints were sloppily done. We were very much disappointed at the quality, especially given what was charged for them. The Quick Print kiosk at Walmart prints better quality prints than the ones we got. Obviously printed on a home printer with inferior photo paper and cut with a dull/less than accurate paper cutter. In addition, the $60 8x10 print had an almost 1/2" mark on the background. A professional photographer would have automatically been aware of all details & appearance so that when the print was presented to the client they would see and immediately judge that the quality was good. Her lack of attention to detail was apparent. Diana did replace the 8x10 print (using the same substandard photo paper) but "couldn't see anything wrong with any of the other prints". Her solution to the uneven edges was to re-cut the prints and put in used frames she had lying around so "you won't see the edges". I also purchased 10 jpegs, in lieu of prints, that were supposed to be high resolution. They were NOT and I didn't know that until I got them home and loaded on my computer. All were less than 1MB and while they will be ok if not enlarged too much, I am also pretty frustrated that she said one thing to my face and did another when she put them on the CD. I would not recommend this business and in retrospect we should have just given a deposit for the prints/jpegs and not paid the balance until satisfied.

Her bubbly personality and fair pricing makes it fun and affordable for our family. Having our pictures taken with Diana is more about the experience with quality thrown in.
