The way my dog Rowan has calmed down with the training is wonderful, I get to watch him make decisions and I love seeing his brain calm down. Rowan was already my emotional support dog, but we needed him to be very well trained for when my husband comes home with his service dog. The staff kept us up to date several times a week with pictures on their Facebook page, and Shannon also called to update us. With the training package we chose, Man's Best Friend provided us with their Top Dog Academy online videos. We have lifetime access and we watched them several times at our own pace, we also watched the videos with our kids so they were fully aware of the expectations and new rules with our dog. The 3 hour training session with Shannon was so informative, Shannon clearly loves dogs and is very passionate about her business. She was patient with me, explained things clearly, answered all my questions, and really made me feel like I CAN be the leader my Rowan needs me to be. I know in my heart that Man's Best Friend will be there for us for the life of my Rowan. This training is worth every single penny and I am so grateful that I can trust myself and my Rowan to be a part of every aspect of my life. Thank you Shannon & everyone at Man's Best Friend! We LOVE you!

Orchard Hills Animal Hospital is hands down the best veterinary care we've experienced. We've been loyal clients for 2-3 years with our 2 dogs and 4 cats, and I can't imagine trusting anyone else with our fur family. First Impressions Matter The moment you walk into their newer facility, you feel it - the clean, well-maintained space tells you immediately that your pets are in professional hands. It's the kind of environment that puts both you and your animals at ease. They Stand Behind Their Work What truly sets them apart is their integrity when complications arise. When Pitou developed facial swelling after a dental procedure, they didn't make excuses. They brought her back in, performed the necessary follow-up work, and covered the entire cost. That's accountability you can trust. Exceptional Care for Anxious Pets Our cat Boxi is a former feral with severe anxiety, and the team has been incredible with her. Once I communicated her needs clearly, they stepped up in every way: calming spray in the exam room, pre-appointment calming meds, and soft blankets to help her feel safe during procedures. My advice: if your pet has special needs, speak up and ask. They have the tools and compassion to help, but clear communication makes all the difference. Real Talk No vet is perfect 100% of the time - that's just reality. What matters is how they respond when things don't go as planned. Orchard Hills Animal Hospital takes responsibility, makes it right, and treats your pets with genuine care. The doctors and technicians here are skilled, compassionate, and committed to doing right by your animals. They're our forever vet, and I recommend them wholeheartedly.

I am a disabled combat veteran, but do not qualify for a 'service animal' from non-profits because I do not have the 'correct' diagnosis, even though I suffer from the same exact symptoms as those with PTSD. My wife's mother, who lives in Europe, recently had a stroke and my wife has been by her side since early August. If I hope to see my wife at all over the next several years, because of her and my commitment to ensure that her mother gets the care and attention she deserves, we needed to be much closer than the Pacific NW, hence our uprooting. In order to have Kemper fly with me in the cabin on a grueling 10-hour trans-Atlantic flight, he needed some several skills which he was lacking when we adopted him from the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society after six years of being abandoned and abused, for no reason, by one owner after another. Even with his unjust and unconscionable treatment early in life, he is one of the sweetest and dogs I have ever known. Julie and Kemper quickly developed a strong bond and she was willing to work with me one-on-one, tailoring a training plan for both of us to get us where we need to be with just two months before boarding the plane. Having a Master's in Psychology, I am an expert in operant and classical conditioning, but lacked the understanding of how dogs think, so Julie was training both of us along the way. Kemper picked-up on things quickly and me, not so much, but we were compelled to get the job done and succeed in our mission, no room for error. Paws Down is not exactly cheap when it comes to private training, but Julie did not charge for travel time to our home and routinely stayed after the allotted one-hour appointment times. Yesterday, less than two months after starting with Julie, Kemper passed his AKC Canine Good Citizen test and his certificate is on the way, arriving well before we need it for travel to our new home. Thank you Paws Down and Julie for helping me ensure that my support animal and I make it safely to Europe, reuniting our family after moths apart. He was amazing with our senior kitty, Gamora ("Gam"). From the beginning, he set clear expectations, giving me an estimated grooming time of a couple of hours--but ended up finishing even faster than expected. Since it was Gam's first time with him, Jared took the time to get acquainted with her and even allowed me to stay for the first 10 minutes or so. That immediately showed me how much he cares about making both the pet and the owner feel comfortable. I had warned him ahead of time that trimming her nails had always been a challenge for me. His response? "No problem." And sure enough--within what felt like under a minute--he had all her nails clipped with zero stress and zero issues. Honestly, the man is a wizard... a true cat whisperer. The entire time, he was calm, gentle, and sweet with her. Gam never looked stressed or uncomfortable, which says everything--especially for a senior cat in a new environment. After a few minutes, he gave me the okay to step out and assured me he'd call if anything came up. Just over an hour later, I got the call that she was ready. When I arrived, she was relaxed in her carrier and looking as cute as ever. Jared let me know she was well-behaved the whole time and that he genuinely enjoyed working with her. You can tell he truly knows what he's doing and cares about the animals he works with. Couldn't be happier with the experience--highly recommend Jared to anyone looking for a skilled, trustworthy cat groomer. Thanks again Jared! We'll be seeing you soon! - Dr. Rick

We decided to enroll Paco in Sit Means Sit, and we are beyond grateful we did. Matt has been absolutely amazing with Paco. He is patient, knowledgeable, and truly cares about the dogs he works with. He always took the time to answer my questions and made sure I had the right tools and guidance to continue Paco's training at home between sessions. The transformation has been incredible. Paco now comes when called the first time, sits in place, and best of all, walks calmly right next to me. He no longer pulls, jumps, or walks out of control. I'm finally looking forward to taking walks with him and can't wait to continue seeing his progress every day. Huge shoutout and thank you to Paco's amazing trainer, Matt!

He was charging people and dogs while walking ONLY with me. And growling at and even attacked one of our cats, who for reference was his best friend for ages. They'd even sleep together and played a lot. I wanted Miles to get to training before we ended up with him biting someone was my greatest fear. So we picked him up on 4/20 in the morning and went over basics with Brian. Miles was EXHAUSTED for the first few days. Obviously from all that physical AND mental work. But he was immediately different. SO chill. Completely relaxed. By Tuesday of last week (just three FULL days after being home, almost 4,) I was already able to walk him and get Heel, Sit, Down and no reaction to people OR dogs passing with just a 1 tap on the remote. We started with a 3 or 4 the first few days.Miles regularly does GREAT with just this level. We went back on Friday, 4/26 for a session to follow up with Brian. We were VERY pleased with Miles progress as was Brian. We worked on the heel to perfect it and also Tie down, the leash stand and reviewed a few questions. Because Miles was doing so well, Brian suggested that maybe he'd do well with agility work. So he set him up a small course, and put him through it. Well Miles did NOT like it. He LOVED it!!! He had SO much fun. And he was doing AMAZING. He caught on SO fast. So fast rbat Brian sent us specs to build the jumps!! We also worked on high object "place." And Brian gave us lots of tips on that. With it only being 9 days since our pickup and 13 days since he started training, I'd say this was 1000% worth this training. We didn't have a BAD dog but a dog that needed some tweaks and some humans that needed help doing it. Now my husband and I look forward to walks and spending time with and taking him places. And Miles therefore gets MORE time with his people. Ellie, our daughter, LOVES doing "place" and commands with him and Jack, our son, is LOVING agility SO much that he and his dad already started building Miles jumps!!! We aren't very far into this but so far 5 HUGE stars. Thank you Brian!!! Also the office staff has been tremendous. They are responsive and kind and great at following up. 9ur entire experience from consultation to two weeks out is excellent!
