You still have to pay an entry fee if you are not a member though (not sure what it is i think it's 1 pound) Most nights it can be dead although some nights it can be very active and there are lots of quizz and bingo nights which pay a very nice amount if you become the lucky winner. If you go up the stairs you will find the toilet's and a snooker room. In all the times i used to go there to play snooker, please beware that you must book the table in advance otherwise you wont get a game. The beer is good but i think more variety could be had here. Nice friendly staff and also there are 2 big widescreen mounted tv's and plenty of fruitmachines ect.

Have a lot of events and activities for members and do food some days and weekends. Beer and other drinks are well priced and people have to show their passes to gain entry which stops the youngsters coming in. Overall a nice friendly, large club that has entertainment and is family friendly.

First-Hand Experience: More info about my personal experience at this stadium - I've been here 2 or 3 times, whenever I take a ferry out of Dover, but I've only seen a match here once, and that was in 2005. It was an average atmosphere, but the stadium itself is really cute and homey and in a fantastic location too. For this reason I give it a 4, but if I could see it packed and full, for example if they ever get into the league... it might become higher. I've been to most UK & US stadiums, due to lifelong obsessions with travel, sport & especially footy (soccer to Americans). Born & raised in England, I followed Oxford United (hometown team) to stadia all over the country at away games, and later Liverpool (fave team) around. Every stadium review - like all my reviews - are from first-hand personal experience, usually from several visits. In 2011, I was on music tour in the UK, and visited most stadiums for fun in my spare time. As recently as Fall 2014, when I was "stuck" in UK for 3 months, I went to hundreds yet again while travelling. I have pictures of me at most, which I'll post later. Also, when back in UK I'll take more pix, and add more stadia! *** return to regular review *** Dover play at the Crabble, which hosts 5,700 people, and is noticeable for the hills behind one of the ends of the stadium. They play one tier below the football league right now. The city of Dover is famous for being the main port for ferries to France, and it is also famous for its beautiful white cliffs. The city is wonderful but the team is a little boring. However their stadium is lots of fun, so scores a 4. I will be visiting here again in the near future.

I had such a great time last year and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Saturday night was without a doubt a great night with the live bands and i hope they are just as good this year! Definately worth going to! It is £6 entry but it is all for a good cause and definately a good time. The Beer tent is also huge and the prices are definately good. £3 a pint. I thought that was extremely reasonable as the pub up the road is more expensive than that. Also the guy who is running the beer tent, actually showed me and the missus around the back of the bar a few weeks ago when he did the Quexpo country fair. The cooling system is amazing and you are definately getting good beer/cider.

The food served here is good and well presented. The main venue is amzing for music gigs and this year it started holding 'dance' events for Cream and Gatecrasher. Only critism of these is the queue for the bars of which they could do with more, but the same can be said for many venues for this kind of event. Easily serviced by taxi and a short walk from the town centre. The views from the terrace on top (accessable directly from the Leas promenande) are amazing. They let you view the whole bay, across to France and the Lower Leas Park.

There is a bird display which occurs a few times each day and an excellent tractor ride round the farm which the kids loved. Farming world is conveniently located just a couple of minutes from the end of the M2.

I took a trip to Canterbury with a small group of friends recently and we decided to do quite a bit…read moreof the tourist program. One of the obvious stops is a river boat tour! Such a cheesy cliché, had to be done! We picked a random time slot and were led down a few small foot paths to the moorings where we met our captain, who's name I'm unfortunately struggling to recall, and took our seats in the boat. During the ride up and down the river Stour, our guide told many stories about the history of the area and the buildings along the river. We had to duck under some bridges and tuck into corners to let other boats pass, though it was of course our captain doing all of the actual work. He also had a lot of tidbits and anecdotes to entertain us and was quite funny.   As cheesy and touristy as this activity was, I actually enjoyed it.

Along with other memorabilia from the history of the Second World War it makes an interesting visit for the family. There is also a gift shop and cafe with indoor and outdoor seating areas. This museum is free admission but as it is a registered charity, donations are always welcome. Please contact the museum direct for coach and school parties.
