If you're shopping around for an orthodontist then I really hope you will read this review. I am a…read moremother of two kiddos who have just completed their treatment plans with Dr. Lovell, so we've had some time to really get to know this practice and the staff. Let me start by saying that from the very first appointment I was impressed to see Dr. Lovell inform two prospective clients that they were not ready for braces and if they were to begin now, they would end up having to do two rounds. He saved them time, energy, money, and the risk of their teeth having issues from too much time in braces. Secondly, I have to admit that I do not love driving Colorado roads all the time, but this location was hands down worth the hour drive from Pagosa for my children to receive amazing care with exceptional people (even through Covid). It actually was bitter sweet when both my kids got their braces off on the same day and I would no longer get to visit. I made an appointment due to some minor pain and I was given some x-rays by the nice front desk lady, which was odd to me that they did not have a receptionist, a nurse, and a dentist but instead the woman at the front desk was working about 3 different jobs at once. She was very kind though, and was not the issue. Anyhow, I receive my x-rays and as soon as Dr. Anderson looks at them, he says my wisdom teeth are coming in and they need to be taken out. He did not even ask me why I was there, or the pain I was feeling- he just automatically said that's what the problem was and sent me out. I was only there for about 5 minutes and never received any answers. I am no dentist, and my wisdom teeth MAY need taken out (though 3 out of 4 have come in and they have not affected me whatsoever- and the pain I was experiencing was not associated with any 3 of the 4 teeth, nor was it even close to being near my wisdom teeth whatsoever) I would have liked to gotten some answers but instead was treated very rudely and definitely will never return to this horrid office, it was a joke!
