I paid $85 to repair my fridge door. The "service" person did it replace any parts, put it back together about a month ago. My fridge to is on the floor today. Never hire Kent Wirth Appliances. Ever. If they sucked anymore they'd be making vacuum cleaners that don't work. read more

Scheduled an appointment 5 days out for a dishwasher at the duplex I rent. At the time of the call, no question was asked about it being a rental or if I owned it. Part way through my scheduled time, I was called as asked if it was a rental and told that they would not work on the appliance until the landlord called to setup a payment method ahead of time. This is understandable, but not after waiting 5 days with no working dishwasher. The repair man was kind enough to point out that after 30yrs of doing this work, he has seen too many problems with repairs prior to landlord approval. Funny that those 30yrs did not teach him to ask the question ahead of time. Proceeded to be very rude on the phone when I question this, dismissed me and hung up on me. Samsung connected us with this local company to service our dryer. Darren Wirth called me promptly, I explained the problem, and he told me he knew exactly what was needed and did not even need to see the machine. I was hesitant, but I assumed him to be the expert. He offered to call back after pricing the parts. In the meantime, I priced the parts, too. When he called back with a price, it was much higher than what I found, so I asked if he would install the parts if I ordered them myself. He said, "No problem! Just call me when the parts come in, and we'll schedule a time to come out." Fast forward to last week. Parts are here. Called Wirth, and spoke again with Darren, who stated he had no recollection of our first interaction. After I filled him in, he declared he was suspicious of my call and informed me he was not interested in helping with the repair, leaving us with parts we are not sure are even what are needed and back at square one with a repair. Called Sears Home Services. They came out today, investigated the machine, confirmed (most of) the parts Wirth told us to get were indeed needed, however, one additional (very large) part is needed. Had the Wirth guy come out to actually look at the machine, we would have known this from the start. Do yourself a favor, and skip over this company if you are in need of appliance repair.
