The crew from Kent's Tree Service did terrific work in our 30+ year old garden in preparation for the sale of our home. Arriving before 8 a.m., they trimmed the 40' locust grove to remove the branches over the house and cut down the one closest to the back porch that threatened it with each passing thunderstorm, like the one starting right now on this hot humid Friday August afternoon. These guys were efficient and worked as a team to drive their bucket truck between the trees and navigate overhead to slowly and safely remove higher, then lower branches until only the thick stump remained. One of the guys with an extendable power saw walked the garden and removed everything that I asked with the goal of giving each tree, shrub and bush a clear shape and identity, rather than the overgrown tangle they had become over the years. He was totally into it and quickly understood what was wanted, even suggesting trimming that I missed. Great work. Their monster wood chipper chewed up even the thickest tree trunk before shooting the remains into the accompanying deep covered trailer. And, beyond all that heavy work, they also trimmed the smaller mature shrubs to give them back their shape from earlier days, rather than the overgrown viburnum and hydrangeas they had become. Called Kent's tree service. Going on two weeks they cannot tell us when our tree will be cut down or even give an estimated time. They gave us a price and we said yes. They never called after that. Disappointed. read more

Kents was timely and easy to do business with. Bob came out gave a reasonable quote and had equipment in the are the same day. Competition was 25% higher on price and needed 4-5 weeks lead time. Came back as promised to do the stumps. Recommend based on responsive nature, competitive pricing and ease of doing business with Bob and Bruce. read more

We were very happy with Kents'. As the quote was lower than the other services we looked into, we were unsure what to expect when we had our two oak trees pruned of the dead wood. We were very happy and we felt we received great work for the money paid. The limbs were taken down very carefully, even around and above a neighbors truck that was not able to be moved. I would not be able to rate this company at all. I needed a large tree ,which was inaccessible,behind my garage. The crane they were using to lift the large limbs over my garage damaged my property. It pushed down my sidewalk 6 inches and my driveway up the same amount. Needless to say the damage was done and the tree remained untouched.I spoke with the owner,who said this has never happened,and he'd come out and look it over. We went around and around for three weeks ,and never saw him. It was a safety hazard and should have been taken care of by his insurance (which I never physically saw,my mistake).I put a claim into my insurance company,ofwhich Kents owner said he'd reimburse my deductible .This was almost 2 years ago,and I have never been reimbursed (500 dollars), nor has my insurance company been paid by his insurance company. In fact my insurance company has sent him numerous letters and called his company with no results.BE AWARE of this company. read more
