She was so upset, she cried afterwards and ended up leaving the school because of him. I had several issues that I didn't like how he handled them. I tried to speak to him but he was rude and manipulative to me the entire time. When my husband got involved he implied that I was "out of control" and to keep a better handle on his family. Lastly, let's talk about how he doesn't care about the children. He prioritized Covid over everything. The parking lot was a wreck and people were speeding. A mom brought it up at a PTA meeting worried someone might hit a child. He responded "Well I'm taking temperatures I cannot police the parking lot". So he did nothing about it. I mean I didn't want my children to get Covid, but I certainly didn't want them getting hit by a car either. He never stood up for the kids to have them go back to school even once other schools were opening in late 2020. He wanted to stay home because he was scared for himself, so he took an entire year away from the kids until they went back for a few hours in March 2021. I am completely shocked that this man is still allowed to be a principal. He runs the school like a dictatorship and moms are scared of him so don't argue. Anything he does people talk amongst themselves but feel helpless to stand up to him. Toxic. Toxic. Toxic. We obviously left the school due to him and he alone. Some tips: 1: stay away from this man. He is NOT your friend if you are a woman. 2: He is 5'4 max so I don't know why people are scared of him but they are so just know if push comes to shove you can probably take him.

The overall quality of the education provided was pretty good. There are some really good teachers with a few being exceptional. There are also some bad teachers too. Unfortunately the exceptional ones have either retired (like the former 8th grade teacher Mr Laner) or have moved on to other schools simply because of administration issues. Like many have stated, the administration is sorely lacking and that all falls squarely on principal Watson who lacks the proper skills and judgement to be an effective leader. Is this a good school? Overall, yes as a local private Catholic elementary and middle school. Were my two girls happy being part of this school? Yes, they created a lot of long lasting friendships and developed good solid religious values through the curriculum. When I was in 5th grade at Redeemer I almost took my life because of a specific teacher who singled me out and bullied me along with the rest of my class. During this time I was struggling with school as my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 leukemia and was on the brink of passing. One day during prayer and our teachings my teacher told me that "people have cancer because they are sinners and have the devil in them". Being only 10 years old this broke me as my dad was so sick he couldn't even attend school events. A few months later, I was still struggling with grades and keeping up as things at home were getting worst. During this time I also found myself developing a crush on a girl in my class. After the school caught wind of a possible LGBTQ+ crush we were both treated terribly. They publicly scorned both of us and had me sit for DAYS behind the "stage area" in the dark alone, instead of going to class, and even threatened to hold me back a grade. The most traumatizing of it all is when she convinced my parents (who were not in a healthy state of mind due to what was happening with our family) to come in and cut all of my hair off as a punishment in front of my class and make me look like a boy...the kicker is, the teacher who punished me most, is very much so in the closet herself and I do feel a lot of the treatment I received was internalized homophobia of her own. After this experience I only dated men for a majority of my life even though it felt completely wrong. After years of therapy I finally felt safe to come out and I am now happily married to my WIFE. The only teacher who kept me from taking my own life was Mrs. Ridgeway, God bless her. She was the only teacher who stopped the constant bullying I received, the only teacher who saw more than my trauma in me and the only teacher who told my parents I would be okay. Sadly she passed away from cancer 2 years after I graduated. She was the most Godly and close to perfect human I have known to this date and she still died of cancer. I wonder if they believed that SHE had the devil in her... I truly hope not. I share all of this to say, there are lots of amazing and Christian based schools in LA that teach Christian love not Christian hate. I suggest trying one of those if you're not interested in therapy bills later.

Any parent who has successfully potty trained their child knows how hard it is to keep that up for it to be ruined by absentminded staff. My child was very vocal when needing to go to the bathroom so there is no excuse for this mix up. If they are having a hard time keeping track who is who, then that is indicative of the level of care they providing the children attending Roenne. Not to mention their rude morning staff/cook. She has no people skills. Miss S should not be participating in any form of child care or any other form of customer service/ public outreach/service. There's not a nurturing bone in her body. My child wasn't at that school for no more than 5 months. Don't enroll your child if you want peace of mind knowing your child is being properly cared for by staff who don't just look at her as a number. Full tuition paying parents deserve more.

My child was in the world language program 2 1/2 years mandarin and 1/2-year Spanish. They were supposed to give us the option to choose they did not. The mandarin program was not good. My child had three mandarin teacher and 2 of the teachers appeared to not want the kids to learn the language. My child advised me that the Spanish teacher did not assign work only told them to play games during class therefore the half year was a waste of time. I am glad my child is finish and would absolutely not recommend this school the school appears good, and they will sell you at orientation, but it is just a show in my opinion.
