It is simply stunning to see his depth of knowledge in whatever area you care to think of: punching, kicking, grappling, ground fighting, and so on. This is the best place to get a workout! I have been one of Kenya's students for years and as a result have lost twenty pounds. The atmosphere created by Kenya is inviting and encouraging. People come far and wide to train learn from Kenya. He is truly a master of his art but is humble and caring. Kenya teaches lesson and values that go far beyond the ring. I LOVE this gym. I've been training in the martial arts off and on for about 8 years and it is a rare occurance to find a gym of such high quality. After almost a year training with Master Kenya Prach, I am constantly impressed by not only his talent both as a fighter and as an instructor, but also his warmth. Master Prach began training in Cambodia at the age of 7 and started competing in Thailand at age 15 and was once even a national champion of Muay Thai in Thailand. He has trained in MMA, Taekwondo, Jujitsu, and Muay Thai and has over 20 years of experience teaching. If you want an instructor with experience and great attention to detail, this is the gym for you. The class is broken down into 2 sections, the first focuses on warm up and strength exersizes, stretching, and footwork and in the second Master Prach introduces fighting combinations to practice on pads in pairs. I used to train with Kenya. Anyone from the beginner to the pros could use a little to a lot of advice from this guy. he knows his stuff no matter what form of combat it may be. Kenya is an excellent martial arts instructor. He is able to strike that delicate balance between being critical and kind. He sincerely wants you to get better, and will work with you in spite of your limitations. We all have them, and martial arts, after all, should not be about ego. Many instructors may preach certain values, and put them on the walls and on their Website. But you get the sense that Kenya does not need to preach. He sets an example, and you can tell this by the dedication and skill of his longtime students. I just moved from Florida to Half Moon Bay in August and Kenya Prach's Muay Thai Academy has been a life-saver. I had trained MMA in Florida for 6 months,and after moving to California I spent two months looking for a suitable gym to train at. After a horrible experience at HMB MMA, I decided to give the PAC Academy more specifically Kenya's Muay Thai class a try. That was in November and it is February now; it has been the best decision I have made so far since moving out here. I have a physically demanding free-lance job where I wont have work for a couple of weeks and the 4 days of Muay Thai help me stay physically in shape when I'm not working. On top of that the overall experience within the class is excellent, everyone is positive, enthusiastic, and pushes you beyond your limits. Kenya is a joy to have around and has incredible knowledge in several forms of martial arts. He trained in boxing for the Olympics during the 80s and fought Muay Thai as a child growing up in Cambodia. I have yet to meet an instructor anywhere I have trained at who has more experience than he does, he is the real deal. His classes are not just for people who want to fight in the ring, he gives one on one time with everyone and is always willing to go beyond that to explain something. Whether you are a professional, training to be pro, or a beginner his training is designed to cater to any of those. I came into the class with some knowledge of boxing/kick-boxing but the 2 months I have spent with Kenya have opened up a completely new style and understanding of fighting for me.
