We struck out twice: (1) closed with no notice online (2) overpriced, low selection. Luckily, we found Kraxberger Farms 3rd! They have a great selection of trees, and prices are reasonable but not low. We found a beautiful noble fir for $80 and they shook and bailed for an extra $2. I think it's maybe just over 7 feet? My kids were a bit disappointed for no tractor ride. They have saws for you-cut, but were also willing to help with a chain saw. Tiny little store, with trinkets, crafts, snacks, tree fertilizer. Nothing I had to have. It's run by a gang of children, and wasn't terribly efficient. I had to ask for my change several times. I love that it's a family farm, so definitely getting kids involved is great... they just need some defined roles. (Teacher here)

It's cute, there's a lot of fun things to do besides getting a tree so it's a great family spot if you have small kids. Good selection of trees. There's music, hot chocolate, tractor rides. They do have a shaker, bailer and great crew to help so you definitely get what you pay for here. Great quality and top notch service!

I always loved seeing their flowers as I drove by. I never did stop by, and now I live in Hillsboro. It's not that far of a drive, but I don't drive by very often anymore. Well, I saw a water color painting class event on Facebook being held at Blooming Junction. My sister and I have been really getting into doing water color painting. I signed us both up. I was excited not only for the class, I was really interested in checking out what Blooming Junction had to offer! I'm so glad this opportunity presented itself. Such a lovely nursery, all the plants looked so healthy and well cared for. It's much more than a nursery though. There was a market to buy fresh produce and other sundry items. I was delighted to find Bubbies brand pickles. I find this brand at other stores, but the dill relish has been illusive. I was just thinking to myself this morning while making chickpea salad how I wished I had Bubbies Dill relish..and lo and behold I find it here! So happy! My sister and I strolled around before our class started. Bought a drink in the market to sip on throughout the class. There was a water cooler also in the workshop area. We had fun getting in touch with our creative side! After class ended, we strolled around some more. I ended up getting the Bubbies relish and strawberries. They were so sweet! Ages. But we got gorgeous pumpkins and I grabbed a few of the fancy blue ones for decor. For three "medium" pumpkins and a couple small ones we spent $41!! What value. Where they get you is the corn maze. Skip it!!! If we could have gotten a refund we would have. Trust me when I say BEYOND disappointed. It was muddy. SO muddy. And that could have been remedied with hay on the ground. That would have saved everyone's shoes and cars. And it was $5 per person for a literal circle. It wasn't a maze. It was a circle. That took 5-7 minutes to slowly walk. That was insane. That's where we PAID for the pumpkins. Everything here is pay via Venmo or cash box on the honor system. That's why we paid out the wazoo for the maze. Ugh. How crummy!! (So you HAVE to use Venmo or cash ONLY!) A little bonus was being able to see baby sheepies and the kids loved feeding them corn stalk leaves and watching them. Sheepies!!! It truly is a circle or a lap, like taking a lap around the park. It's not challenging or engaging, it's just a muddy lap through the corn field.
