This place is so incredibly fun! Brought my Girl Scout troop here today and did not regret it one bit. My scouts had an opportunity to experience something they never have. Explore, be courageous, and get some exercise. One of our guides, Sarah, was fantastic. She was helpful, friendly, and always had a smile on her face. I can't wait to go back here and try the zip lining. The guides gave everyone a detailed crash course and showed all of us how to use the equipment, helped us put it on, made sure everyone was in the correct size. They have a super cute gift shop as well with some fun gear and souvenirs. They also had a water tank on ground level for drinks. And you can go up and down as you please.

First time zip lining and I would go again! I really enjoyed the experience and the guides were very knowledgeable.

Have you ever wanted to climb a whole bunch of stairs and then jump off of platforms trusting only a few cables and a harness to get you to a safe landing? If you answered yes, please go to this place! This was my husbands choice for celebrating our wedding anniversary; although I think he was trying to kill me off, the staff at Kerfoot were professional and made sure all of my lines and harness were secure at each take off to thwart his plans. There were 14 zip lines to throw yourself off of... so don't worry, you get plenty of opportunities to put yourself at death's doorstep. They think they're all smart starting on the little short ones near the ground, and next thing you know you're 6 stories in the air wondering what good your helmet will actually do when the cables snap. Fun fact: they operate in all weather conditions unless there's stupid high winds or lightning...this worked out great for us as we got our first soaking rain here today in a couple of weeks which picked up nicely as we got to the first zip line. All around we had a really great time, I do love this kind of thing and it's awesome that we have this so close to the twin cities. I'm sure it would be absolutely stunning in the fall. They also have go pros you can rent and record your zips! Would definitely do this again! You will never, however, catch me on their ropes course....I will play dead if he tries to surprise me with that next year.

This was a good one time experience. There's about 10-12 lines, and each line gets better as you go. I would recommend going during the fall to see the beautiful colors. Do anticipate some wait time.

My wife and I spent our 22nd Anniversary here today with our teenage son. Everyone had a great time! I haven't done this in about 10 years but quickly re-engaged the memory cells. The leadership team there helping us from station to station were great, funny, they made sure we all enjoyed our experience. I don't often get time away from work but this was definitely a great way to take a day. read more

We had Micah and Spencer as guides. They did a great job with estimating how far we would walk and mushroom dad jokes. Even though they are not dads or brothers they might be long lost Scandinavian cousins or related to erling haaland. On a more serious note, very fun and a great afternoon activity. read more
We booked this tour to celebrate two birthdays and were excited to experience it as a family of four--three adults and one 12‑year‑old. Two of us have zip‑lined in multiple states, so we had a good sense of what to expect. This experience was very different. The self‑braking system was a surprise. As someone who has zip‑lined many times, I've never encountered a setup where guests are responsible for that level of braking. It requires significant strength and precision, and it's tough for younger participants. The platform situation also felt unsafe. Having 12 people standing together on small, swaying tree stands with no railings and very limited space isn't something we've seen at any other course. Usually there are stable waiting areas where you're not packed tightly with nowhere to hold on. The biggest issue was how the braking expectations were handled with our 12‑year‑old. We were told she was having trouble braking after several lines, but nothing in the trial run or early lines indicated she was far off from what was required. Instead of coaching her more, she and her mom were suddenly removed from the tour after line four. Since we're family, we all left--four fully paid participants. We weren't offered a refund. One guide mentioned the ropes course as an alternative, and while we appreciated being allowed to switch, it wasn't something everyone wanted to do--especially one of the birthday girls, who doesn't do ropes courses. So the celebration was essentially derailed. If the braking system truly requires adult‑level strength, the minimum age should reflect that. Saying "10 and up" is misleading when the physical demands are clearly higher. We understand and respect safety policies, but the lack of communication and the absence of any refund or meaningful alternative made the experience disappointing. We weren't removed for behavior--we followed every instruction. Unfortunately, this ended up ruining what was supposed to be a special birthday outing. read more

This was supposed to be a fun zip-lining experience, but it felt more like Camp Ripley boot camp. After some slow and go progress with their system of braking (using a gloved hand on the wire). We were told we couldn't continue the tour (Asked to leave after completing 4 lines and after the bridge). Since we booked through Groupon, no refund. read more
What a treat! Three of us did the 12 line zip line tour in a group of seven. We were blessed with Aaron and Rose as our guides and I feel like our group is now a family. We laughed together, supported each other through trials, and conquered fears together. It was definitely intimidating learning how to stop yourself and getting used to trusting the ropes and harness as you jump off the ledge. But Aaron and Rose did such a good job of explaining everything and making sure everyone was comfortable. 10/10 would recommend! read more

This was my first zip lining experience. I'm a little afraid of heights, but decided to give it a shot. Really glad I did. Our two guides were very professional and friendly. They created a very lighthearted atmosphere, and from there on, it was difficult to not have fun. I will definitely visit them again. read more

Kerfoot uses a hand-braking system that relies on an operator's real time judgement and the strength of one's own hands/arms. This was no match for their "fast" zip lines at the end of the course, especially in the rainy weather. I was told to brake with 2 hands and then quickly remove my hands out of the way of the emergency brake so that the equipment wouldn't hit me. I did this, but the emergency brake was placed too close to the platform, so I swung and hit my entire body against the platform super hard! This is the worst trauma I've ever experienced! I hit my head, scraped my face, scraped my left arm, badly bruised my right arm, and suffered severe impact/bruising to my legs, as well as a scraped and bruised right ankle. It is insane that they continue to operate in this manner. I should have known something was wrong because my friend crash landed a few lines earlier (without injury though), and another poor girl got kicked off the tour earlier because she wasn't strong enough to brake herself. I thought I was, but I guess I was wrong, and so were they. Don't go here. read more

My kiddos and I always look for a zip line or aerial adventure when we vacation so we were thrilled to find Kerfoot on our trip to the Minneapolis area this summer. There are two courses. We chose the longer course with 14 lines. As you progress through the course the lines either get longer or faster. There is a good balance between lines of distance and speed. Our guides (Jeff and Cassie) were fantastic, and they made us feel both safe and right at home. We went on a hot (ish - we're from Texas so Minnesota hot isn't a fair comparison) August day, and everything was lush and green. Temps were quite a bit lower deep on the course. I'd recommend insect repellent because the mosquitoes were active the deeper into the woody areas. I know that other reviewers said that it's a great one time activity, but my family would definitely do it again. read more

My wife and I have done about 7 zip line tours in New Zealand and Australia, but today's visit to Kerfoot was the first time that we did NOT enjoy the experience. The problem is that Kerfoot has a low cost and low tech system in which YOU control the speed of your descent by pressing a gloved hand on the wire, much like Fred Flintstone slowing down his car with his bare foot. This means that you don't get to enjoy the trip, or the view, and all you do is worry about braking. Brake too much, and you don't make it to the end. Brake too little, and you crash. Sound like fun? There aren't many options for zip line tours in Minnesota, so I'm not surprised at all the 5 star reviews by folks who haven't had the chance to visit a really good zip line tour. But the Kerfoot experience is just not worth the effort or expense. read more

What a fun adventure! I am in town from San Diego and my friend suggested us to check this out. I had no idea what to expect but it sure made me nervous to say the least. The zip tour is great, we had John and Josh as guides. They start you slow and teach you everything you need to know to feel comfortable on the larger zip lines. There's are a series of mild zips at the first that get you ready and exited to go bigger. By the end you are going super fast, high up, and very far (I believe they said the longest one is about a quarter mile long). So fun!! John was fantastic, his personality is uncanny. He was so animated and really helpful with the lines. Josh was also very polite and knowledgeable. This wouldn't have been so comfortable with any other team. This really turned me on to the activity. I am going to be looking for more zip courses on future travels! read more

My husband and I went on the 14 line course and it was truly amazing. The weather was less than stellar (Wet) but it didn't matter because the views and our guides (Tony & Gio) made up for it. And it's very true what they say weather doesn't matter. We would highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in trying out something new. For us it was something to check off our bucket list. We will definitely bring more family members back and do it again. read more

Took my dad here for fathers day last year. It was in the fall and the leaves had just begun to change. Overall, it was a good one time experience, but not something I'd likely do again. There were 10-12 zip lines that you got to down. There is 1 line, the longest, that actually goes over a valley. VERY COOL. At the end, you have the option to do a zip line to end OR a walk off a ledge that drops you 30 feet. Definetly recommend doing the walk off the ledge! One negative- they were under staffed, so we did have some additional wait times between the lines. read more

This place says "canopy tours". This is no "tour". They actually make you have to stop yourself with a leather glove on each of their 14 runs. You only get to see one "canopy". Even if there were enjoyable views (there weren't), you are constantly waiting for the guide to tell you when to stop or slow down so you can't look around at all. You have to carry your own very heavy rigging equipment and have to hook yourself up to the wire lines. You are tethered to a high tree on each platform and there are no railings. You can't enjoy anything at all. Also no cameras are allowed unless you bring a helmet cam, which they don't tell you about, so you can't take pictures of your companions. Overall very stressful and not fun or beautiful at all. Would give it a Zero if I could. read more

This was an awesome tour. I went with a group of 7-8th graders for a student council field trip. I am terrified of heights, but they did such an amazing job getting you comfortable on smaller lines before switching to more fast paced/lengthy lines. I never felt unsafe. Our guides (John and Spencer) were amazing with the kids and helped encourage them along the way! The ropes course was so fun for the kids, not my type of fun because of the wobbly platforms and the height, but the kids had an absolute blast! It is a little pricey, however, I think it is totally worth the price. I would go again in a heartbeat. read more

Fantastic time had here for teenagers and adults. The lines are set up really well to progress from easy/low key zip lines to practice on, moving up to the more thrilling ones. Guides did a great job of making our nervous/scared of heights teenager feel safe. Also everyone had on masks and it seemed very safe from a covid point of view. We went on an absolutely gorgeous fall day, and the tree colors were so outstanding that the kids even noticed! The guides also allowed me to walk along time enjoy the scenery and take pictures without buying a ticket or doing any zip lining (some of us are pretty terrified of heights!). I got some great pictures and didn't have to wait 2 hours in the car for the group to be done. 2 water stations set up along the course, but the only restrooms are at the start/finish. Bring a bit of cash to tip your tour guides! read more

My Mom surprised my dad this past August by taking him and the rest of the family here for his 60th birthday. While it was a great idea, she completely forgot to make a reservation, which is necessary as they can only take so many people on a guided tour. We found this out after driving ~45 minutes to get here, and were told that they had no more open spots that day. Well, after talking with them and explaining our situation (I flew in for the weekend from out of state and we had other events planned the next day), they were able to get two open guides to give us a tour as a special exception. I'd like to thank the guides for giving us a wonderful impromptu tour on what should have been their break or the end of their day. They kicked ass! They made sure we all had a great time while enjoying the beautiful scenery and course, and were also pretty funny and easy to talk to. I'd also like to thank the two people running the front office. The effort they put into getting us on a tour was extraordinary, and I can't thank them enough for helping us salvage the afternoon. All of the employees were fantastic in terms of customer services and making this an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend Kerfoot to anyone interested in seeing some GORGEOUS woods while having a wonderful time! read more

Took the family of 7 for the 14-line zipline tour and it was absolutely amazing! I think our guides were John and Freddie....they made it a great visit! My wife and I have done many other ziplines around the world but this has to be one of our favorites. This also was the FIRST zipline for 2 of my younger kids (10 and 12 years old), and while I was nervous initially they had an absolute blast and I had no safety concerns at all. Definitely recommend this for families or even doing a company event. Saw this massive new ropes course/tower they also just launched but unfortunately we didn't have time to do that on this date, but definitely will go back to do that some time. Only wish there was a way to capture more photos while out on the course. They allowed me to bring my 360 camera that attached to helmet, but really wish we could take photos while on the platforms (maybe offer something for guests to secure camera to harness or something)? They did take some great photos at the end using our camera. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thanks! read more

Took my husband here for our first anniversary and we had a BLAST. The staff was awesome from the check in to our guides. Lauren and Darius were our guides and they were great - professional and funny. Your tour lasts about 2.5 hours starting at ground school to learn how to zip and hand break and then takes you through a beautiful river valley. The views were breathtaking. What a fantastic experience! I have zip-lined in a few countries and several locations across the US. Kerfoot canopy tour located in Henderson MN is my new favorite! Although the price is higher than the others I have visited, the duration of the experience, professionalism, and safety thought the experience was a constant. You guys have a great product and crew! I brought my family; my 10 year old daughter was really nervous about this and I wasn't sure that she would participate. The way they introduce zip lining and gradually increase the excitement made it such that she couldn't stop and wanted to continue and revisit! I couldn't be happier with my choice to visit. If you want a great zip lining experience, I highly recommend Kerfoot Canopy Tours in Henderson. I had purchased a Groupon and tried to book online but all the slots were full. I called and Ed had it all under control, he had added spots and found a time that worked for our group. We arrived and it was a chilly March day but we had dressed warmly and were ready to go. After getting our harnesses on we boarded the ATV's to ride up to the start of the course. There were 14 zip lines, the first few were short to teach you how to zip line, but they just kept getting better and better. Some of our favorites were, Kong, Dragon's Tail and Footloose. The scenery was beautiful, Taylor and Ben, our guides were competent, fun and entertaining and we had a wonderful morning flying through the tree tops! Oh, the suspension bridge was also a lot of fun. All I can say is you have to go and experience it for yourself, you won't regret it! read more

Kerfoot was phenomenal! We visited in mid-April of 2019 for a company team-building event. Unfortunately, we were struck by a huge snowstorm, but Ed and his team were so upbeat and positive, it made the whole experience amazing! The zips were great - very scenic and a lot of fun! All very doable for all of us new to the sport! Our guides took the time to learn all of our names and made it a very fun, laid-back, and personal experience. We look forward to visiting Kerfoot again in the future - for both personal and work-related events! Thanks again, guys! read more

I am 68 year old woman with MS. It was my first time ziplining. I wanted to do this before I didn't have the ability to do it.
