I pushed the call button and was told they would be there in a minute, which was not true. One time no one would answer the call button, which left me to yell and scream for someone to help me, when help finally arrived, I was rudely told that, "I wasn't the only patient", which I replied, "I know that", but that was not my fault and that they should hire more aids. You employ a couple of very rude nurses. I am not sure of their names. I was in room 378 from the 21st- 27th of Sept. So, I am sure you can find who they were. I was in ICU the 28th-30th of Sept. One of the nurses would pull or push my back, I asked her not to do that because my back was very sore. I had surgery for a fractured vertebra. The nurse told me it was minimal surgery. I tried to tell her I have fibromyalgia and that was why my back was so painful. She just rolled her eyes. What she failed to understand is any surgery or distress can exacerbate a person with fibromyalgia I pushed the call button because I wanted to go to the bathroom instead of going in a pull up. I did not want to sit in feces. No one would come so I decided to go on my own. (Physical Therapy said I could do that.) When I swung my legs over the side of the bed the alarm went off. A nurse and an aid came and said I could not do that and that I should use the pull up and a peri Wisk. I told them I could walk, and that the physical therapist okayed me to. They did not want to take the time to take me to the portable commode. I then explained that the peri Wisk was unhooked, and the aid accused me of disconnecting it. I said how can I unhook it; I can't get out of bed! I was so aggravated I told her to leave my room immediately. I felt so demoralized, degraded and was shown no respect at all. I could go on forever, but I won't. The cleaning people are very poor, dirt and other debris was left on the floor all the time I was in ICU and in room 378. One last thing I would like to mention, the nurses and aids should have been taught that you do not whip blankets and sheets when a patient is in bed or anytime for that matter. It is a very good way to spread germs.

I went to my pre-op appointment today and was told that the test results from my GP, which she said to see immediately, are too old for them to use and it is very unlikely that the results will be in by the surgery date which means I will have to wait 4-6 more weeks due to OR scheduling. I have been in serious pain for over 4 months and out of 8 calls to her office i have only gotten 2 return calls. She refuses to give me anything for pain even though I have gone to the ER twice and they eagerly gave me pain killers because they could see I was in agony. All in all I have spent less than 5 minutes with Dr. McLeod. We paid her cash for the surgery on 6/10/15. A procedure that should have cost less than $1000 has now cost us over $7000 and it all stems from negligence on the part of Dr McLeod and her staff. The day I actually did get a return call from them and explained that I was bleeding heavily, swelling (8 inches around my middle), and in extreme pain, they said there was nothing they could do and to have a nice weekend. 5 hours later the tumor ruptured (AGONY!!!) and I ended up in the ER where I finally got some pain meds. Every professional I have talked to about this has said things should have been handled much differently. She has a very good reputation but my experience was horrible. No one, not even the doctors and nurses at the ER on the first visit warned me that fibroids can rupture and cause excruciating pain, even worse than natural child birth. Had i not found an excellent forum online, I would have thought I was dying! This has been the most painful, frustrating and depressing experience in my life. I have severe reservations about letting this woman perform the surgery since she wasn't even concerned about the pain I was in for 3+ months and didn't realize the test results would be too old.

She started checking him to see if everything was okay and when she saw the BABY ACNE that was on his chest, she started getting hesitant with us and asked if she can take pictures and send it to her husband because apparently he was an 'expert' with infants. She went to three other Drs and told us that our son had Herpes and he was going to die the next day if we didn't get him to a children's hospital. We waited 45 minutes for her to finish talking to the hospital in Columbia. She kept pressuring us to take our son to the hospital. After she called the hospital she said that they were ready with IVs, pills, and other medications for our FOUR DAY OLD INFANT. She called us from her personal phone when we went home and kept pushing and harassing us to take him to the hospital or he was going to die. 9 months later our son is a healthy baby boy. All he had was baby acne and she made us go through all that struggle, panic, worry and anger. Please have a second opinion done if you go to this place!!!!!
