Think Sam Druker from the General Store in Green Acres, and I kid you not... the theme music from the Beverly Hillbillies was playing in the store! (You young Yelpers... look it up!). I stopped here to get a few gallons because I wasn't sure how far it would be until the next gas station. It literally looks like one of those roadside stands that sells local product, but it had a pump, so I stoped in. The pump said no credit, cash only and you had to pay ahead of time. I went in and said I'll take $10, and handed him a $20. The pumps are old time, so I wasn't used to numbers actually spinning as I pumped. Of course, I went over $10, so I just went for $20. I eventually ended on $20.10. Went back in to tell him I went over the $10, and he said "by how much, we are on the honor system here"! I paid him 10 cents! Before we left, he gave me a Yooper Jigsaw Puzzle" which was a small bag of saw dust. Lol And he gave my wife a small bag that contained a marble (in case you lose your marbles), and candy kiss (to remind you that someone loves you), a penny (so you will never be broke), an eraser (to make your mistakes disappear), a string (to help hold things together) and a rubber band (to stretch yourself to your limits).
