You may be thinking, "Only the old folks go there" but I can assure you, while that is the…read moremajority, it's not everyone. And if you have some rare, hardly known disease or an injury, they are entirely worth a visit -- or several. For me, I had tried several different physical therapy places. This over a range of time, somewhere in the 2000-aughts to now. It was usually a failure. Places that cannot do aught but follow the script will not be able to work with all. That script includes: - Three sets of 10 - Losing the patient's interest - not adjusting the exercises to fit the individual's need Those are the three big ones for me. It sounds so weird to anyone who has the ability to concentrate, keep the count, not get lost in music (but I really need that, so there is not as much input on my part with dead silence), and adult-onset dystrophia myotonia D-PROMM Type II is an infrequently mentioned disease. But at this SportsCare, I have gotten to know everyone (just about). The first person I had met was Michael Cote, a fun, smart 29-year-old guy (at the time - he may have hit the BIG 3-0 now!); I learned something very, very important: I can learn a lot from a "kid" of 30 (I'm 58 now) as I can a person of 85. I love that. He taught me a lot of the world that I just did not know. And I learn from every one of them: Tim, who just had a daughter; Ron, who loves punk music; Sophie, who hails from Michigan (a lovely state); Gina, who is sweet! Chelsea, David...I haven't the room to name them all. They are all very committed, have worked with all my specific oddities, and for me, this is a lifetime endeavour. With the folks here as dedicated as they are, I don't mind the prospect nearly so much. Every physical challenge I face, they are invested in swapping out various exercises, movements, I videoed my very difficult getting up the stairs in our house, and they have it, look at it to determine the next steps. THAT is truly the love of the art! They all try so hard to work with me -- and utterly succeed. No question.

The therapists I worked with, Mike, Adrian, and Natalie, as well as assistants Andy, Wes, and Julian, were all extremely knowledgeable and personable throughout my time with them. The facilities and machines are thorough and well maintained. I always felt I was in great hands. They helped me bounce back into form as quickly as possible, and we had a good time doing it. I do not recommend this facility in Wayne NJ , especially for people of color…read more I had an appointment at Atlantic Health Rehabilitation in Wayne, New Jersey today 4/9/26 The office had recently moved, and it was very difficult to find the new location. As a result, I arrived approximately five minutes late. When I arrived, there was another patient at the front desk speaking with the receptionist and scheduling multiple appointments. I waited patiently for over five minutes while they finished, without or complaint. When it was my turn, and before the patient ahead of my the receptionist immediately told me I was late and refused to see me. I explained that I had difficulty finding the new address and had also been waiting for her to finish assisting the other patient. Despite this, she repeatedly stated that it did not matter and that it was "policy," without showing any flexibility or understanding. I tried to explain that the delay was beyond my control and that I had arrived around 10:05, just after the other patient. She still refused to see me and rescheduled me for April 16 without asking if that worked for me. I found the interaction very rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. A five-minute delay--especially under these circumstances--should have been handled with more understanding, particularly since I am in pain and had recently visited a pain management office. Additionally, I felt that I was treated differently because I am Muslim, which made the experience even more upsetting. This experience was unacceptable. I would appreciate it if a supervisor could follow up with me and address this situation. Staff should receive proper training on professionalism, communication, and respectful treatment of all patients.

I have had the need to come here on various occasions (lower back, foot problems) and every time I've been here I've had nothing but exceptional service. From the warm greeting of the entire front desk staff, to the kindness and assistance provided by all the Physical Therapy Aides, to the care and expertise of the Physical Therapists themselves. I especially want to acknowledge the gentile bed side manners of Lucinda Quesada (PT Aide). She always welcomes me with a warm smile and an even warmer goodbye. She is meticulous and takes her time to explain clearly the specific exercises that are required as part of my plan of care. I also want to acknowledge two of the therapists, Christopher Jones and Payam Zarrinpour., both are exceptional. They are patient, knowledgeable, and truly take the time to understand my needs and concerns. They have a wide depth and breath of knowledge in physiology and human anatomy. But more importantly, I sincerely appreciate their sense of humor. Not only do their treatments make me feel better but their personality brings out a healthy hearty laugh in me every time. I chose Active Care as I had previously used them many years ago for a back issue. My physical therapist was Payam Zarrinpour. Well he worked wonders ! I had two separate rounds of therapy and exercise and it cured my frozen shoulder. Today I was diagnosed with torn MCL in my left knee again my doctor prescribed PT. I went right back to active care to seek Payam's help! I'm sure in a month I'll be back to my old self skiing away!

Jim has always demonstrated the utmost professionalism and concern for my aches and pains. I have followed him at different locations and the care has always been consistent. He gives all his patients his attention and provides the best personalized therapy. The office space is light, airy and spacious making it a great place to excercise and heal. In december of 2025, at the age of 72, I had a complete knee replacement. After 3 months of therapy with Jim, I was bending my knee and walking again.
