My husband had worked with Kesslers to get a stunning engagement ring for me and the whole process was amazing for him. I've since gotten my ring resized a few times, solders the wedding band on, lost a diamond and had it replaced, and gotten it cleaned as many times as I can get in. The service is always exceptional and everyone is so kind. We went back 2 years ago for a diamond necklace for valentines and had yet again, great service. My experience started out great at Kessler's. I was looking for some simple earrings and a silver ring "wedding" band. I placed an order that had to eventually be expedited because the delivery date kept getting moved or there was confusion with another office in having it sent to the Grand Rapids store. When my items arrived, they looked nothing like I expected or hoped for. The ring was so small and thin that I was surprised it could even be considered worth wearing. Earrings looked like costume jewelry also. Since I was at nearly $800 for these, I just decided to return them and go to a more trusted jeweler. (I ended up at DeVries Jewelers, which turned out to be the best decision.) Buying is not the same as returning when you're a customer here. The associate kept trying to tell me that I'd have to wait to do a return, even though the balance was paid in full. I finally had a manager do the return processing, and you could tell that the clerk was angry it was being done. Someone lost commission dollars and they were not liking this at all. I won't return based on this experience. I found my place for great service and excellent jewelry pieces. It's not Kessler's. read more

The customer service and selection at Kesslers was far beyond my expectations. My fiancée and I recently met with Sandra to have her engagement ring resized and begin shopping for wedding bands. We were struggling with an exact size so Sandra graciously offered to have the goldsmith come out to assist. That's where the AMAZING goldsmith Michelle entered and offered to resize the ring right then while we waited (it was a simple solitaire setting so it was quick). Within 15 minutes, Michelle had it adjusted to the perfect size! I was shocked at how quickly she adjusted the size, and the ring looked brand new when she brought it back out. We also had Jacob show us men's and women's wedding bands and he did an excellent job explaining our options and the different between them all. This was by far one of the best customer service experience I have had in years and I will be sure to come back to Kesslers for all our jewelry needs. read more

In town for our anniversary. Due to the shutdown, we camp a lot and this is how we chose to spend our 10-year anniversary. We ventured into Grand Rapids, Holland, Grand Haven and Saugatuck. We may have hit every jewelry store in those towns before we found Kesslers and the search ended. Beautiful store. We walked in to look around and were pleasantly surprised by the Co-Vid 19 precautions. Temp checks, sanitizer, masks and distancing. We met Katie that helped us look at pieces we were searching for and ended up with so many options. Katie took all the nervousness for such a big purchase out of the process. I picked out a piece but it had to be a special order since I needed a different size. Katie gathered our options and emailed us to let us discuss and decide. The quote was for six weeks - we had it in three. The piece was delivered to the store for a quality check, then sent overnight to our house, with confirmed delivery where I had to show my ID to my UPS driver. The sender name was inconspicuous name, so he didn't know what he was delivering. It is beautiful however, there are three noticeably dark stones in the chain - which if to the naked eye, doesn't meet the color standard for the diamonds purchased. My husband called Katie and we have an appointment to visit the store. Hopefully the stones will be switched out in house and I can take it home with us. Katie and Kesslers has our business. She's now working on another custom piece for us. read more

1 star since there is no 0. I was purchasing an engagement ring for my girlfriend and making payments on the ring so I did not have it yet. Kesslers sent a Christmas card address to me and my girlfriend. She opened it since it also had her name on it. Kesslers ruined the best surprise of my girlfriends life. Canceled order and will never return. read more

After stopping by here, I will never again go to a "big store" jewelry place. I was greeted by Paul, who shook my hand and had me sit in a booth. Then, he showed me their drink menu... asked what I would like to drink.. they had WINE AND BEER on it!!! I just got a diet mountain dew though. It was so welcoming. I did not feel pressured whatsoever to buy anything. I showed him a picture of a wedding band I would like, or a style about the same. He was very honest, and showed me a few I may like. He showed me how they customize rings, etc... Everyone was so nice. They even cleaned my engagement ring for free, and returned it with a piece of candy. What a nice gesture. I cannot say enough good things about this place! Maylena has been the absolute best throughout our fragment/wedding process. She helped my fiance choose the perfect engagement ring without having any idea what I was interested in. She helped us both choose our wedding bands and was very knowledgeable about layaway and payment processes. She even was there to help my finance when he was looking for a Christmas present for me. Maylena has been an absolute pleasure to work with and we always look to do business with her. All other staff has been helpful and very friendly as well when I go in to get my ring cleaned (for free!). Kesslers is a fantastic company who truly cares deeply about every customer. Wonderful folks here! I was in a couple of weeks ago looking for a possible reset solution for a diamond earring that was left to me by my grandmother. Zach sat down and took time to explain my options and I ordered the reset. Was very impressed with the attention to detail and expertise that went into the consult. I ordered the "newly reset" pendant and picked it up yesterday. SOOO happy with the result - absolutely beautiful! During my initial meeting to discuss the pendant, I mentioned that my great aunt had left several pieces of jewelry when she passed away last year. I asked Zach if he could recommend someone I might go to in order to do an initial sort to determine costume jewelry pieces from genuine pieces. Zach graciously offered to help me with that. So, my mom and I went in and Zach (again) took a patient amount of time with us to go thru the jewelry. This doesn't fall under his "normal" job description and we were so humbled when Zach offered to help us with this - OVER AND ABOVE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! We have DEFINITELY found a new jeweler. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. The master goldsmith Michelle is a tremendously talented woman and all around amazing human. Their prices, both for their jewelry and for work on pieces that are not theirs, are very fair and the quality is like nothing I have ever seen before. Kesslers takes care of their customers in a way that is above and beyond anything I have ever experienced.
