Today I had some work done and one of the hygienists gave me my numbing shot and I barely felt it at all. Everyone here does great work. Grateful that my insurance is accepted here so it's also been affordable, too. Getting an appointment isn't too tough, though cleanings can be a few months out if you need to reschedule a standing date, but they also have a last minute appointment wait list and they can reach out to you via text, so getting something sooner isn't hard as long as you have some flexibility. Facility is also VERY clean, comfortable, and modern!

But I have to say, the COVID precautions at Oak Valley Dental are top-notch. They make sure you're not mingling with other patients as you move through the waiting area to your exam room. Each exam room has an air filter scrubbing the air. My hygienist and dentist are both vaccinated (as am I) and were double-masked. And they streamline the bill paying so you're not waiting at the front desk for payment to process. I was impressed both with how they adapted to the pandemic and to see that the first-rate skill and service I've come to expect from them had not suffered. Most dentists use titanium in your gums and them top it with a ceramic crown. Instead, I wanted all ceramic. I didn't want any more metal in my mouth. Dr. Jung is prepared to do this for me. I'm ecstatic that we made an appointment to get my work started. In addition to being knowledgeable, Dr. Jung has a very kind and caring demeanor. I think he is Ann Arbor's best-kept secret. Eun-Young was difficult for me to understand while over the phone. That was probably my 'old' ears. In the office, she was delightful and very helpful. Eun-Young is obviously very knowledgeable regarding dentistry and an asset to the office. I'll be back to do another review after the work is completed, but for now, I am very pleased with the consultation. If you are looking for a holistic dentist consider Dr. Jung. I was grateful that Andrew was able to continue this excellent practice and make it his own when his father retired. I have to say that the staff here are some of the nicest and most professional I have encountered both in the past and currently. Andrew in particular has added his own style and I have to say I've never felt more comfortable with a dentist - like he really makes it a painless process. When I lost my private insurance during the pandemic the office continued to work with me at reasonable rates and has always treated me with extreme kindness and graciousness. I love this dental practice and feel lucky to have such a great dentist that I trust. Lastly, my dental hygiene has come a long way through my own efforts but equally through the tips and strategies that Dr. Andrew Dill has worked with me on. Like Dr. Nevers, Dr. Dill is practicing dentist and also teaches at the U of M School of Dentistry, which is (I think) really unique and gives Dr. Dill a lot of current perspective in the field. I wouldn't call myself a 'coward' when it comes to going to the dentist, but Dr. Dill was incredibly gentle and thorough; he did the cleaning and the exam himself, which was a first for me compared to my last dentist. Dr. Dill addressed all of my dental concerns (i.e., a recessed gum line on a molar that is sensitive to hot/cold, options for whitening my teeth - which I asked about!, replacing my nightguard) and offered sensible, cost-effective solutions, which I really appreciate/d. I felt very comfortable presenting my concerns to Dr. Dill and confident in the quality of the answers I received. I would definitely recommend Dr. Dill to anyone in need of a check-up!
