I went in to get a soak off and manicure , the salon is not up to standard , it's very dirty, I noticed the nail bit drills are used repeatedly on multiple people also the manicure tool kit set , the place stinks like sewer, as you can see my manicure was terrible the cuticles are dry my hand is dry from the acetone bowl and he didn't even have the decency to put oil on my cuticles or lotion on my hand, my nails weren't cleaned up after the final steps of my nail gel.i didn't like the nails at all, my skin around my nails has never been like that he couldn't even clean it up after picking at it? Horrible experience with my manicure. I wish I knew the ladies name. She asked me 10 times if I wanted gel polish after I told her no. She used the dremel on my nails for way too long to remove my previous gel polish. She insisted I had dip nails and I told her I didn't. I know what dip is. She wouldn't believe me. She cut my cuticles with that tool as she ground forever and made me bleed after I told her she was hurting me and the tool got super hot. She made my nails so thin and flimsy. When she got done shaping my nails I had to file them myself to make them look good because she left them crooked and with chunks hanging. At the end when I sat to dry my nails she yelled, I told you to get gel! Most uncomfortable worse experience and ruined my nails. read more

Came here for the first time a week ago to get a new color for my no-chip. I think this is the worst place I've ever been to, ridiculous, can't believe they have 4 stars because i don't know how this place is still running. I got my nails done in Chicago and they lasted me 3 and a half weeks, go here to simply get my nail color changed and it hasn't even been a week and my no chip is cracked on multiple nails, barely took off the no chip and applied the the new nail color on top, the no chip is bumpy and not evenly distributed on the nail, not to mention i get an almond shape for my nails and the women really f'd it up, where my nail now curves more to one side. I went with my friend who got acrylics taken off and got powder, they did a horrible job on taking off all the acrylic and removing any access from under the nail. First 2 pics are a week after, 2 last pics are when i first got them done. read more

This place has pretty standard pricing and obviously has regulars who love it. They have a great color selection. As a new person trying it out, I'm giving two stars for a few reasons: 1. Appointments are very loose and seem like a formality. Don't expect them to dictate when you'll actually get in. 2. They will take regulars in the middle of your appointment if they don't know you, making it take twice as long. 3. Some people have very little English. This resulted in a terrible experience for me on my third (and last) visit where my nails turned out awful and I was charged for a manicure even though I asked her not to do it and to stop in the middle of it. LOVE Kevin Nails!!! I just moved here and tried Galaxy nails first, paid $55 for a full set of acrylics with gel polish, I think they charged $15 extra to rub chrome powder on. Anyway, my nails were so thick and too long (even though I kept saying shorter) so when I got home I had to file for over an hour so that my nails didn't look so thick and terrible. I went to Kevin Nails today and Danny did my nails. They look gorgeous and he made sure they were exactly how I wanted. They didn't nickel and dime me and I walked out only paying $30. Every person working there smiled and seemed genuine, and they wanted to make sure you were happy. I didn't feel as if they were trying to push services to have you pay more, they were awesome. I felt like customer service is super important to them. They did have me pay before polishing, but I wasn't offended, they might have had people not pay or something. Will be back!!!!! read more

There are many different shade and types of nail polish to choose from, including gel colors. The service was very friendly during my stop. They were also very thorough and quick. Perfect for when you need a service over your lunch break. If you are looking for more of a spa-like experience where they spend a lot of time massaging your hands and feet, this is not the spot for you. They do a very short massage (under a minute) but not much more than that. I personally prefer it this way as I don't have a lot of time and would like to get in and out. The pricing is pretty average compared to the other salons in town. On this trip I paid $30 for a gel manicure. I will certainly be back to this salon. read more

I went in for a manicure pedicure today, which I knew the price of ahead of time and had the exact amount plus my tip with me. I went it to my appointment on time, told him I want "my nails and toes done, and my budget is $x" Kevin said no problem I told him color, and he said "No, color grows out, white tip is better.", looked at my hands, and said "Do you want fake nails?" I said "If that fits in my price range and lets me get my toes done then yes!" He said yes, and that was the last question he asked. He continued on from there to give me an extremely short French tip acrylic, none of which I said I wanted. He did not ask me what type of fake nail(acrylic etc.), how long I'd like them, or what shape. He didn't wipe my fingers so there's dust under my nails, there's nail glue all over underneath my nails, and the white tip starts halfway don my nail. After applying the acrylic, and they're drying under the LED, he says, "So nails are $x, you still want a pedicure?" I tell him that if pedicures still fit in the budget I stated to begin with then yes, its what I want. He continues on to tell me that now the pedicure does not fit in the budget and he says "Ok so you're done!" Tells me the price, I hand him the money and leave. It was so fast and I had to run to work, but I looked at my hands and they looked awful. I called him back an hour later and explained(kindly, I was not rude or loud) that I've never had fake nails, but that I double checked about the price more than twice with him, and he pressured me into getting a higher priced manicure and it did not allow me to get a pedicure. He replied by yelling and saying, "You have ugly nails, I made you get fake nails more money because you nails ugly and short! I'll take them off but no redo and no money back!" This appointment and the money was a gift from my fiancé, so this was a truly terrible experience, and I would tell anyone never to go there. Kevin was so rude to me, I will never forget this exchange. I'm going somewhere tonight to pay for a second set of nails out of my own pocket to fix it. Very disappointed. read more
