When you think of a realtor, you often assume that he is going to push you to purchase a home that maybe is out of your price range so that a greater commission is earned or encourage you to go after a home that may not be the right fit just so that he can close a deal and move on. We just purchased our first home, our dream home, and Kevin made this very stressful process very easy for us-- in the middle of a pandemic too! We started looking at homes in late spring, just as realtors were allowed to start showing homes again. We had no leads on a good realtor so I took to the internet to find the best, highest rated one in the area. Since we had no experience I didn't want to take any chances. Kevin's reviews stood out immediately from the competition, some from first time buyers and others more seasoned, but it was clear that everyone was very happy with their experience. Kevin's response time was as advertised! He always got back to us quickly, early in the morning and late in the evening. I prefer a high level of communication, and it was very easy and painless to email back and forth to sort out details, discuss listings, and so forth. We found Kevin online when searching for a realtor with a construction background. The fact that he is incredibly quick to respond to any and all questions at any time of day was a bonus. From the beginning, he was willing to talk straight with us and not tell us what he thought we wanted to hear. It's an extremely crazy market right now, and without him guiding us and our decisions, we'd still be struggling to schedule appointments to see every house that popped up. We developed a strategy for determining which houses to see in person and what it would take to make our offer more enticing when we came across a home we loved. We hit the jackpot on our second attempt, locking up our dream house even though there were 10+ other offers we were up against. We couldn't have done it without him, nor could we have done it in such a quick amount of time. His experience in construction helped us with our decision to make our offer as we knew we'd have to waive inspections in order to stand out to the sellers. We felt a lot more comfortable making an offer without the safety net of inspections having him by our side, checking the property out with us. There's never a guarantee that something won't go wrong, and he by no means puts himself out there as a replacement for an inspector, but he was able to point out troubling signs in some of the homes we saw as well as give us ballpark costs to make the necessary updates if we decided to buy the house we were looking at. Then when it came time to sell our current home, he nailed it again. From giving us some pointers on updates to be made prior to listing to determining the appropriate price point, we were able to drive an insane level of interest in our property. "I'll be there in 15 minutes! " These are the words I remember. I was looking for houses for about 2 yrs. On a Sunday night, as I was scowering local streets I found a house I loved. If we could give Kevin ten stars, we would. Our experience was that great. We stumbled upon Kevin through a Google search and contacted him. We let him know that we were just starting to look online, but that we weren't going to be ready to get pre-approved for a couple months. He set us up with a portal that had homes matching what we were looking for. We were getting listings sent left and right. We were first time home buyers and were very nervous about process, especially since it was a VA Loan. Kevin is very knowledgeable about the buying process and what to look for when walking through the homes. Even more important, we never felt confused or uneasy about anything that was happening. I am extremely skeptical of any person who works on commission; I know it is the process with a real estate agent but I never truly feel like I can get an honest opinion from someone who would benefit from me spending more. About a year and a half ago we set out to purchase our 1st home. Moving to a new town was one thing, let along another state!
