Fast forward to Ricky at Garage Door Pro who went above and beyond to research for options outside of his normal network. He ended up finding a Harmonn model that fit the bill, which was more reasonably priced. The new supplier had a delay and shipping issues that weren't Ricky's fault but he constantly kept tab on things for us. After a couple of months, the door arrived and Ricky delivered/installed it within a week in less than 4 hours. It came with a fresh door track, trim and other parts. So far, we haven't had any issues and I don't anticipate any but we have a 90-day service warranty and 3 year product warranty. I was called Tuesday morning to confirm, and given a rough ETA and the name of the person who would be coming out for the repair. And then a final call from Jim when he was on the way. So, A+ for scheduling and A+ for communication. When Jim arrived, I explained what was happening (of course the door opener was working fine when he came) and my husband explained further what he had been doing to try assessing the issue. After taking our information into account, he set to work making necessary adjustments to fix the issue and then giving everything a good once-over just to be thorough. Jim explained everything that he saw, what adjustments were made, and showed me how to realign the sensors if needed. A+ for friendly service. I've never needed a garage door repair so have no frame of reference for cost, but I'm not unhappy at all with the price I paid for next day service. I do believe it was fair. I had to get him up from his nap to tell him the garage door is hanging off. Great way to start the new year! So me being an Elite, I always rely on Yelp! I searched for garage door repair, found this company with top reviews, and gave them a call. There isn't any negative feedback in this review. 1-4 are all positive. Want details, keep reading! 1. Initial Call / Operator I called the office and a young lady answered. She was very pleasant, took all my information, and told me a technician would come out to provide a free quote within three hours. She also asked how I found them, and I let her know it was through Yelp. 2. Timeline of Arrival The technician, Angel arrived earlier than the initial timeline. He called beforehand to let me know he was on the way and would be arriving sooner, which I appreciated. We needed to get the garage fixed as quickly as possible so that worked out for us. 3. Technician Angel explained that he could repair it, but it would basically be a band-aid fix. Our tracks were bent and there was another issue, so we'd likely run into the same problem again. He offered to replace the garage door right then, which made us happy since we store important items in our garage. Unfortunately, he didn't have our door type on his truck and it had to be ordered. We scheduled installation for Monday. 4. Installation Angel arrived Monday as planned. He told me the process would take about two hours to remove the old door and install the new one. He was true to his word. It actually took a little less than two hours. He also gave recommendations based on the slight pitch of our foundation and shared tips for 6 month maintenance. I was met with nothing but rude condescending attitude from this woman. I was told $100 just to have someone give me an estimate? She like yes we charge $100 per hour and minimum of an hour. So I left a review of this and was called back by her boss Margerory. Let me say now I know why the first rep was rude and condescending..... it was the same treatment by Margerory as well. Then after this rude belittling conversation from her POOF my previous review vanished..... they started the quote at $1000 when I had been $850 from another company I will definitely just wait for the other company to get back to me.

Only to find that your garage door does not open that evening. You check out from inside and find one of the lift cables snapped off, caused by the torsion spring snapping, and breaking off. The next morning, a co-worker referred me to Kurtis. I am glad he did, because as soon as I gave him a call he was ready to stop by that same morning and do the repair. He mentioned he would be there between 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Not to say that I was skeptic, but at least I was happy to get a response right away and someone taking action. Curtis was on site a little after 9:00 a.m. . He was completed with the work minutes before 11:00 a. m. Now I admit, I was a little nervous at first having him come on site without providing an estimate over the phone. But I trusted my colleague's referral on his reasonable pricing. Original garage doors were put in by a retired fella named Paul who trained Michael many years earlier. Old school, fair, honest and responsive is how I'd describe Michael. Was a great experience overall. I went with model I felt comfortable with although Michael had another alternative that was about $100.00 more that was a bit quieter with a belt he said. Personally, the one I have now I do not consider to be loud at all and am pleased with the new opener. Michael helped me re-program outside pad to get into garage which I thought was great. He suggested I phone Pete, the best in the garage door business. Pete Tolkaz and son Peter were at my house at 10:00 the next morning. It took them less than 30 minutes to change the springs, inspect all parts, and lubricate the system. They were both polite and professional . . . the cost? $360.
