I explained that I had called that other locksmith and they aren't able to service the type of door/lock that we have. The man on the phone said my location doesn't have a space for their company to park a truck. When I questioned him about his statement (knowing we have street parking, a parking lot, and parking spaces in the alley behind our school) he explained that he wouldn't send anyone to our location because he would be afraid their truck would get broken into. This company has never been to our location before so this is a baseless assumption. But, from some of their other reviews, these types of comments seem pretty common.

Long story short, I'd called Hoernel Lock and Key in Kenosha to unlock my house after I'd lost my keys. Even with a scheduled appointment, they didn't show -- or call me -- for the scheduled appointment for two hours. Garbage. When I realized I'd gotten stood up, I started calling around local locksmiths. Brian at BCS really stood out because he actually had a human response to my plight. Even though I was outside his typical service area, he offered to come out first thing the next morning. Then, he actively hooked me up with a colleague of his in Kenosha who could take care of me better. He was friendly, empathetic, and very responsive -- and I wasn't even his customer! Biggest rip off I have ever had happen. Has been reported to the BBB. Plus it took almost 4 hours of our time. Another person approached the guy as he was leaving and I told him DO NOT do business with these guys, they are crooks. He said the same thing because the guy quoted him $200 just to copy a key he already had. Worst experience of my life.
