Dr. Sandy has changed our lives. I first began seeing her after a car accident while I was pregnant. But when she was able to eliminate the migraines I've suffered with since childhood, I knew I stumbled onto a great practice. My husband began seeing her also and immediately found relief from severe, chronic neck and back pain resulting from multiple degenerative bone issues. I don't think we could ever go back to our lives before Dr. Sandy's care. We don't wake up in bed uncomfortable and in pain anymore. I don't need to live off of prescription medication for migraines anymore and went from 2 migraines a week for years to NONE in the last few months. My husband doesn't need prescription or over the counter pain medications anymore for his chronic back issues. This has truly been a life changing experience for us. Not to mention that the beautiful office is extremely flexible with your appointments. When you swing by for your adjustment, you get in and out of there in 10 minutes or less. I've been going to a chiropractor in NYC because I work there but when I'm off for the summer, I stay home in PA. My NYC doc recommended Gorman for while I'm here for the summer (I'm a teacher). I called them up and the receptionist was incredibly nice and said she'd get my records for me and promptly set me up with an appointment two days later. I walked in this morning and the receptionist/office manager was even nicer in person. There was fresh coffee and tea available and after filling out a few forms, I was ushered right in to the doctor's office. I spent a total of forty-five minutes there (my first time, don't forget) and never waited more than a minute for anything. The doctor was friendly and efficient in checking me over and my adjustment has me feeling a thousand times better already. The location is easy to get to and there's plenty of metered parking available ($.25/half an hour...what a deal!) and I already have my second appointment set up for two days from now. They made me feel welcomed and "like a regular" after having been there only once. Next to my regular doc in NYC, this is the best! read more

I tried Gorman Chiropractic in another office several times a few years ago. They were surprisingly fast with their treatment- 'wham-bam chiropractic'. This didn't bother me until one incident when I began to experience severe pain a short time after my treatment. I was sure the chiropractor had fractured my rib. I couldn't breathe well, couldn't twist at all, and could hardly move. When I went back to complain, I was told not to worry, it was just a muscle spasm. (I learned from another practitioner that the rough treatment I received caused spasms in the intercostal muscles between my ribs, which can feel like a fractured rib.) I finally sought deep massage treatment from another practitioner over the course of the next few weeks to undo the damage that the Gorman chiropractor had done. When I mentioned this to local friends, several shared negative stories about Gorman Chiropractic and advised me to stay away. I went back to my regular chiropractor, Mike Frigiola (Pleasant Valley Chiropractic) in Brodheadsville. It's a longer drive for me, and worth every mile. read more
