The sites are not level, not even close. The entire park is on a slope and it looks like the level wasn't working when they made these sites. My shower door won't close and the shower won't drain because we're leaned to the left so far. The water spigot is too low. I could barely get a valve attached and I had to dig. The electric box is too short so I had to bend my surge protector. Who did this stuff? Update 20 minutes after posting this truthful review, I was evicted from the park. Man who kicked us out, gave us no reason. When I asked if it was because of my Yelp review, he replied yes and to get the hell out of his part. He could not defend the fact that is sites were unlevel , had that will destroy your leveling equipment, a water Spicket that's so low to the ground. I had to dig to connect my pressure regulator, and electrical boxes were too short. Not to mention that the entire part is on a hill and not level. Stay away from this place.

As we did in 2017, we also climbed Devils Tower. And we built up an appetite. Driving in we saw the sign "Best Bison Burgers..." and that sounded good... shortly after climbing, we were welcomed by Jonah and seated and ordering. We had worked up an appetite... about 15 minutes later the three of us had enjoyed 5 bison cheeseburgers, with house made chips, and extra pickles. We were able to shop in the store and get souvenirs for family, and we left filled and happy. Thank you, Jonah, for being such a great host and for having such tasty food! ----- ----- -----

Thankfully, they allowed our family of 4 (in a truck camper) to use one of the 3 remaining group sites. The remaining 2 group sites filled in within 30 minutes of us arriving! I would highly recommend getting there earlier in the day to ensure a spot. There is also a KOA at the park entrance, so if you're scared of not having reservations, consider the KOA. Though definitely not as pretty of a site. The campground itself was very pretty, clean, and again - the amazing view of the tower! They do not sell firewood, so you can buy it at the KOA at the park entrance. I recommend!

I called Empire RV Park and the owners, Mike and Roxanne who had arrived to prepare their park for the vacation season, welcomed us to stay. Mike and Roxanne were very friendly and helpful in guiding us to our full hookup site and then checking on us even though it was cold and raining. Surprisingly, the tipi was comfortable, warm, and quiet. The winds can be brutal in Wyoming. No heater needed during the night. The sound of the wind was comforting. We set up our tent inside the tipi to keep any creepy crawlers out. After all, you are sleeping on the ground. The owner provided pieces of carpet for under the tent. She also provides cooking supplies, fresh water, a light, and more. Extremely peaceful. Feeling just as relaxed as when I have slept in an upscale hotel.

Review Visit: July 25th, 2015…read more If you have seen Close Encounters of the Third Kind, then you are very familiar with Devils Tower. This was about the final stop on a 2 week cross country trip and I am happy it was one of the last. We didn't get to get close, as we were tight on time, but still seeing it was awesome. I didn't know too much about it besides what we talked about in Geography classes in college, but I knew some of the legends and the uniqueness of the tower. It appears that there are trails around the tower you can hike. You can also climb the tower too, which is weird, since I thought it was all protected grounds by Native Americans. Maybe it's a limited window each year. Either way, if you can indeed get close, I would love to go back. I love odd, natural landmarks like this and would love to explore it up close. Wish I knew more to tell you all but maybe one day I can expand upon this post! Devils Tower is quite the landmark. It stands out when compared to everything else around it. Geologists still debate on how it is formed. Native Americans have a few folklore on how it was formed too. If you are interested in either of those, check the Website/Wiki links below.
