Once my sister had to go to a rehab center, and it did not look like she could ever go back to McCarthy. John Hanson, McCarthy's Head Administrator, came out and brought my sister back and tested her at McCarthy. The staff was willing to put in the extra effort, and my sister has done well for almost a year now.

Just received a message, my failing mother is here and last night someone stole her clothes from…read moreher closet while she was asleep besides that she has been neglected while here medications not given when due of course the first thing they tell anyone we are understaffed also one staff member told her she needs to stop asking for help as she can't walk without assistance and it hurts his back when he has to help her. I'm told it's costing about $10,000 a month to stay here WTH! I give a negative -STAR

Regarding Marywood the enhanced assisted living facility - Beautiful new facility but terrible…read moremanagement. Cannot hang onto good staff. Very arrogant manager - and no one watching from higher up to correct. Staffing terrible - there are some great staff but they are stretched so thin that the good ones don't last long. Often 1 staff to 12 residents - a dangerous equation. Wish upper management cared enough to ask why they can't hold onto staff. Feel bad for the residents, all paying $$ to stay there.
