ZERO STARS will be my rating if it is possible…read more This is a THIEF we are dealing with. I am a widow with FOUR CHILDREN (my husband was killed 3 years ago while working to WORK) and I just moved to NEPA from Long Beach, NY. I just moved into my home a week ago so I have a lot on my mind, relocating my entire life to a new state. I dropped my children off at school and ran to the post office, where I realized I did not have my kids with me. I have a Volvo which only requires the sensor to be in my pocket or pocketbook so I am not accustomed to carrying a key chain yet. When I pulled into my driveway, I prayed the door was unlocked. No such luck- it was tight as a drum. MY FAULT- I LOCKED MYSELF OUT. I went to the gate and informed the security guard and she was kind enough to google a local locksmith. He took over an hour and a half to arrive and did not introduce himself or ask for any identification. That was not even the problem, however. We get to the front door (a beautiful, expensive door) and he comments that I have a very costly lock, etc. He brags that he makes it look easy because he's a professional but it's very difficult, etc. He could not open the door and was damaging my wood frame. I suggest we try a different door (the garage is open, let's use the door to my son's bedroom, downstairs.) He agrees and easily pops it open with a putty knife and a hammer. I could have done this and learned a lesson as a woman. NOW IT GETS BAD, VERY BAD!!!!!!!! We are in the house and he proceeds to march around, judging the house and goes to the front door and TAKES APART THE ELECTRONIC MECHANISM AND PLAYS WITH IT UNTIL IT'S BROKEN!!!!! HE THEN TRIES TO SELL ME A NEW ONE THAT HE HAS ON HIS TRUCK FOR $375 AGAIN----WE ARE IN THE HOUSE- I SHOULD HAVE MADE HIM LEAVE AT THIS POINT~ I ask if I can write a check to which he ASKED IF IT WOULD BOUNCE. I told him it was more than sufficiently funded and he came up with TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS out of the air. TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS. TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS for a PUTTY KNIFE AND HAMMER I am in disbelief, anger and sad. How could he look at himself as a man? TRUST ME- IT WAS NOT A PLEASANT SIGHT, HE IS FAT AND SWEATY, WENT IN MY FRIDGE AND TOOK A WATER BOTTLE AND SUCKED IT DOWN!!!!!! GROSS!!! I AM HORRIFIED. If this is my welcome to NEPA, I want to RUN back to NYC. He told me "I would be right at home in North Pocono school district" when I asked about the diversity!!!!!!!!!! RACIST AND RIP OFF-BAD COMBO. stay AWAY if you want to protect your money from this thief!

Orlando the Locksmith does not know how to operate a proper business. He does not conduct himself…read morein a professional manner, and when he has no valid argument he resorts to screaming and threats. He was called in the request to change the locks on doors in a summer home. The locksmith gave the owner a window and showed up at 11:00am. All is well thus far. He looked over everything and made RECOMMENDATIONS to the owner regarding what he thought needed to be done. She told him what she wanted done and he told her he needed to leave to get the parts required for the job. He told her he would be back in 3 or 4 hours. He did not return to the home until 6:00pm that evening. He made no attempt to call or contact the owner. He did minimal work on the home but could not complete the job due to the "kit" not having all the parts required. He told the owner he needed to return with the rest of the locks for the doors and they agreed upon a date on the upcoming Saturday. The Friday before the owner contacted him to confirm the meeting on Saturday, the locksmith stated that he got all the items needed but added items that were not asked for nor requested. The items in question were the items that HE recommended to her and that she declined to have installed. She explained to him she did NOT want the items. He explained to her the items could not be returned and that he would not "be stuck with these." She again explained that she did not want these items and he became aggressive with her. After further argument he became irate and belligerent and made threats of litigation for the parts. At no time did the locksmith provide a written estimate, nor a bill or any form of documentation as to the work to be performed. Taking advantage of a customer is bad enough, but when it is blatantly clear that he has taken advantage of a senior it enters a whole knew form of poor ethics and morality. Choose wisely the person you let into your home.
