Not the best experience. Sometimes you can't control when restaurants change their grease. Friendly staff.

So I was there today 11/24/25 at 12:15pm for first time at this location. I was ordering the 5.99 deal which I usually get coleslaw and biscuit all the KFC's that I went and never had an issue. This lady today was giving me a horrible attitude, but not only to me there was two elderly gentlemen in front of me, but she was nasty and rude because he was confused about a coupon book.. if you don't have customer service or patience to work with people, you should not be at the restaurant.. I will never come back to this KFC because that lady was nasty as hell. First time I'm having a bad experience for KFC.. I haven't had KFC in ages! I seriously cannot remember the last time. By, we were hungry and the line for the drive through at Wendy's was too long so, KFC it was. We only did drive through so I can't attest to the inside at all. The speaker gal was pleasant and processed our order correctly. We got up to the window to pay pretty quickly; there were three cars ahead of us. But, we were asked to pull around to the front door to wait for some potato wedges. Ok, fine, no biggie. So we waited.... and waited.... and waited.... it took so long that my husband went inside to ask about our food. It was sitting on the counter and a very unhappy fella in a big plastic apron handed it to him without a single word. He didn't even know if we were the right people for that particular order, and he certainly didn't offer any apology. But, it is what it is. So, home we went! Everything was correct with our order and it actually didn't taste bad. I had the crispy sandwich, Husband had the fingers box and the Little had a chicken little meal. She ate one whole one, so that's a good sign. Husband said his food was decent but he wouldn't get the fingers again; just nothing special about them. The real show winners were the wedges! They were darn good and I don't even like potato wedges! Even the kid ate hers! Noice! Altogether we spent about $17 so... not a bad deal. Overall, everything was ok. My husband & I went to KFC Feb 27, 2022. It was Sunday drive thru had about 5 cars. We ordered the 8 piece chicken meal. They Did Not give a receipt. Got home, we only had 4 pieces of chicken & sides were correct. I called the KFC we visited in Bartow Florida. They Did Not answer, I called 8 times. The phone just rang & rang. I called the KFC corporate to report the 2 problems. They said Thankyou for the feedback. Sent a voucher in the mail to us for price we paid. I told them what time was at KFC & they looked card up. Thank goodness I paid with card. We got voucher went back March 7, 2022 on Monday night. My husband went in ordered 8 piece meal again and used voucher that replaced last meal done wrong. My husband looked in box said it looked filled up with chicken. When we got home the legs at the bottom were very greasy & one looked like there was a bite out of it. The breast & Thighs looked white on top no crunchy batter. I called the store 8:13 pm it rang & rang no one picked up to answer. We are Done with Bartow KFC!!!! Very dirty restaurant, pot pies had been cooked and set so long they were yuck. Asked Manager to please make me Fresh ones, they just stood around looking at me until I asked them is there a time limit before you start making them or what? I guess I'm on a rampage against fast food joints. I was zipping through this KFC for something fast and cheap. Got lucky on the fast being the only one at the drive-thru at 6:30 pm. So--after listening to the long spiel of taped "would I like to try message", then a human "did I want sides with that" , "did I want dessert with that"....don't they know I want what I want so don't start out by asking me if I want something else and don't try to pad me with other stuff. It's a turn-off. So was fed up rather quickly. Second, I feel duped. their large sign "5 hot & spicy wings $3" LOOKS like boneless wings and is next to a sign for boneless. So imagine my surprise when I have to drive and nibble around a bone five times. I did find the "hot" just right and a great crunch. It could've been hotter. My last pet peeve is the return of change with bills placed in the hand first and coins placed to slide around on top of them. To me, it's an IQ test--i can predict whether a clerk is going to remain in an entry level position for a long, long time, simply by whether I am given the change first, thus to manage the money return more easily. This place does not deserve my repeat visits but it is not yet on a Nix List when I have a hankering for the Colonel. read more

I hadn't been in a KFC in about 10 years. I've never been a huge fan but I kept hearing about how things were improving. Wrong. Actually things may be getting worse. Let me first say though that the people who work here are really nice. They can only do so much though. Corporate is responsible for the crappy food. I swear the mashed potatoes were instant. They were that bad. I got the grilled chicken This chicken had to be on some serious medication. They probably pumped this chicken full of growth hormones and who knows what else. There was no taste of chicken. At least not the sort of chickens I get at Publix. And they're nothing special. Even the biscut and the cookie sucked. If you see a KFC just keep driving. The drive thru is a mess. I went to order food and I already knew I'd have to wait for it to come out. That's fine, it was a lot of food. It came out within 5 minutes. It was all what I'd say is a 3 star rating. What ticked me off is that 2 times I've been to this KFC Ive ordered my mashed potatoes and out of those 2 times, I have not received my mashed potatoes once without having to go back in. Went to the drive- thru today. Ordered a 2pc crispy chicken meal deal. The thigh was a ball of crispy breading. It was so bad I could not tell where to bite. When I did locate the meat there was maybe two bites of meat. Instead of giving me a quality thigh, I found they had given me extra order of wedges! I got two 3 piece chicken dinners. When they brought them to the window the lady said "we ran out out biscuits so we substituted chocolate chip cookies. We are both diabetics!! Why didn't they ask what we wanted. This is the worst store that I have been to. Each time I say I am not going back but have went back and once again they cannot do an order without messing it up. Late yesterday afternoon I went through the drive-thru to order my lunch. I pulled up to the speaker and waited. No response right away, but I figured there was probably a car ahead of me she was waiting on at the window, so okay. Then she came on and said, or so I thought, "go ahead and order when you're ready". So I gave my order and waited for her to ask what drink I would like with my meal. No response. I sat there for maybe half a minute or so. Then said, "Hello?" Still nothing. Said "Hello?" again. That's when she comes back and literally yells at me that she's busy, and she'll take my order when she's ready. I waited probably another minute. That's when another girl comes on and quietly takes my order. I drive up to the window where I can see they must be working on a large order for someone. If they told me that, I would have understood. But to be snapped at like that for no reason on my part...I won't be back. Okay as far as KFCs go. Staff are hit or miss as far as customer service. Usually not a long wait for food. Restaurant and restrooms are clean. Still think they've changed the mashed potatoes and gravy recipe from the original. read more
