Well I read the reviews and think that can't be possible! My experience has been extremely…read morepositive. The staff were amazing and so friendly...we could have had the waitress having a drink at our table if the Boss wasn't looking. The food was exceptional. I am hopeless at cooking steak and when I go to a steak restaurant I want my dinner just right...guess what, they lived up to my expectations. The stark was perfect, medium rare and with a pepper sauce on the side. The chips just crispy and the salad very fresh. The reason we came here tonight was the 25% discount after attending a movie. Would you believe all the other restaurants were closed and this one was open and very welcoming. The wine flowed and the music was upbeat. I will come here again and bring some friends especially during the week. Well done Outback Jacks, Top Ryde City!

Staff are friendly and attentive. So far so good! Lighting is pretty bright here but then again it was a very gloomy day out. I ordered the banana milkshake and the Jack Daniel ribs. Milkshake was sweet and tasty reminded me of when I was a kid at restaurants. Ribs were a big serving with chips and salad and very saucy just how I like it! And I don't eat a lot of ribs so that's saying something. My sister enjoyed her meal too which was the Jackies Eye fillet I think with mash and veggies. It's my first visit and the place is still new so we shall see how far it goes! I gave it 2 1/2 to 3 stars because I did enjoy my ribs but for 2 meals and a kids meal came to $93! Pretty exy I think!

There is a rule of thumb with local Asian restaurants. The quality of the food is inversely…read moreproportionate to the friendliness of the staff. When I walked into Pho Sam and I was hit with a palpable wave of indifference, I knew it was winner winner crispy skin chicken with tomato rice dinner. Which was delicious. By the way. Of course to accurately judge a Vietnamese restaurant I had to try the raw beef pho. It was very good. They must have read previous reviews because they now give you all the trimmings as standard. Well most of the trimmings. Owing to my gingerness I had to request chilli. Bill got salty fish and chicken rice (oh so nice) and a chicken laksa (ok but there's better nearby). Pho Sam is a pretty casual affair. You're there for the food not the atmosphere. Get in, eat, get out, repeat. We did go back again tonight for takeaway. We got more of the same plus Sichuan Beef. My brother reckons that wasn't very good. He's a guts and he didn't finish it. The lemon chilli chicken wings are not bad. Verdict: delicious Vietnamese but stick to the Vietnamese options on the menu.

Crispy skin chicken with tomato rice, pork chop with rice noodles and raw beef pho are on high rotation for many of my friends. Or really, tomato rice with anything. Servings are bigger than your face with some like the Nasi Goreng just seem endless. Just like any good Asian restaurant, the service is brusque but efficient. The owner is an unsmiling lady with a fierce bob. She may seem scary at first but deep down she's a real softie, known to slide a free plate of spring rolls or a glass of red bean ice onto the tables of her regulars. Because in the end, it's all about good food at good prices.

We had a lovely meal here. We have had Brazilian barbecue at several places in California and Texas…read morebut the meat here was far superior. The meats were perfectly seasoned and not overly salted. The manager, Daiana, was so sweet and made us feel welcomed. We are gluten free and she went out of her way to let us know what was safe for us to eat. She checked in on us multiple times to make sure all was going well. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice with a good vibe. Even though there were quite a few people there the restaurant wasn't loud and we were able to talk easily. It was chilly outside but they had heaters going to keep it nice and warm inside. The only things I would recommend are a salad bar with veggies and cheeses and a sign to let the meat servers know when we need a break. It's hard to say no to all the delicious meats they were bringing to our table but it was hard to keep up. 10/10 would recommend.

This is a serious meat-eaters' heaven. It's very male here at Bah-Bq. And as a gal that's quite all right, especially if the men are all suave and eager to please. And please they do! Handsome Brazilian waiters tempting all the diners as they walk by. Bring your appetite here if you want to get the 'all you can eat meat bonanza' called Churrasco $49 per person. Rarely do we go over our $30 per plate usual limit. But we've had a good week so it was a bit of a treat. And when it's time for a splurge this is the place to do it. The atmosphere is modern rustic - with rope room dividers and chic orange hanging lights with groovy timbered features - love the little lounge area where you can enjoy a drink and a chat before the feasting begins. Reminds me of the old days when dining out was a real treat and you'd always have a drink at the bar or the lounge area. That builds the anticipation and heightens the mood for food for sure. It's romantic too. (TIP: guys this could be the place to win points in the romance stakes!). The night we were there (Easter Sunday) there was live music. The host said Friday nights is when they have live music - this was a special treat just for us. I've never heard 'Girl From Ipanema' sang in Brazilian before tonite and enjoyed this exotic version with guitar and djembe percussion. One thing I don't usually comment on are the table settings - I don't mind timber, or laminex or linen - but I have to mention this - the table settings were immaculate - the tables themselves were a deep dark polished timber, gleaming like a mirror. So spectacularly clean. We chose this place cos our friend Scott LOVES meat. Him and meat go way back - in fact his first job was working in the Wellington Abattoirs out near Dubbo. It turns out this meat destination decision was perfect. Once giving the waiter the green light to the Churrasco for three all we needed to do was sit back and let the magic begin. And we didn't have to wait long. First the sides arrived (assorted hot breads including to-die-for cheese bread, polenta, some kind of banana something - it was lovely anyway; thick cut potato chips; potato salad; rice and flaked almonds; a stew of black beans; green salad) and sauces (hmmm the chilli and molassas-like sauce is amazing!) and home made fresh salsas arrived. Then came the procession of 'straight-off-the-barbecue' meats on massive steel rods (some looked like swords) led by pork sausages which were so yummy! Next up was the gorgeous barbecued haloumi cheese. (If you're vegetarian then you may want to stop reading here). Next came some cooked to perfection juicy medium rare rump steak which when sliced right before our eyes by the waiter showed off a gorgeous red-bronzed centre; after that came some oh-so-succulent lamb, two types of chicken, prawns, honey glazed pork, more lamb this time pesto chunks. Then more, more and even more fresh barbecued meat was offered - some arriving on swords while other offerings displayed like crown jewels - set in little platters. We accepted these delicious offerings until we could fit in no more - well apart from the barbecued fresh banana and spicy pineapple which we could fit into our 'dessert tummies'. Our party of four agreed this was a wonderful feast and great value. So happy that a Brazilian BBQ restaurant like Bah-bq is in Crows Nest cos the other closest Brazillian BBQ places were either Norton Street Leichhardt or Taylor Square Darlinghurst. This is just a short hop skip and jump for us. I'm definitely jumping at the chance of going back to Bah-bq again and hopefully it won't be too long.
