We also got the stir fried eggplant and it was good but not my favourite. It has Thai basil and why I keep ordering things with Thai basil time and time again when I KNOW I don't like it is beyond me. So you can't fault the dish, it's just my tastebuds that failed me on this one. It's a tiny place with little stools for seating so it's not somewhere you want to go and relax for a long night out. The Belgian mayo was alright, but the Vietnamese mayo was bomb.com. The fries are double cooked and definitely some of the better fries I've had in Sydney...my favourite fries have been from Ogalo's, but Lord of the Fries gives it a run for its money...I will need to do some more taste testing with their other sauces. If you've been to America, I'd say that Lord of the Fries reminds me of a vegetarian Five Guys since the fries are very similar in taste and quality (minus Cajun fries) and they both offer burgers and hot dogs. The nostalgia may have influenced my review a bit...so take that into consideration. If you don't want to wait in a queue for a super long time, go in the arvo or after their official launch on Aug. 29th. We were only able to eat in by sharing the inside table with another pair. I would definitely come back though, especially when hungover. I would definitely try to come on a Tuesday/Thursday for their $12 combo deal.
