I appreciated the ramp along the side of the building as the stairs up were really tough on my knees. Lovely staff and calm atmosphere within the restaurant. A small little cafe just off the intersection of the A-12 (on your way to Stettler) and the 835 (which leads to Buffalo Lake), the grill is a nice rest and good food. On my visit today, I tried the Erskine Burger, which is a 6oz patty overwhelmed with mushrooms, cheese and gravy. And it was excellent. The patty was perfectly cooked, homestyle, not a frozen thing smashed into tastelessness. The patty was juicy, flavorful and cooked right. The mushrooms held into the melted cheese were great and the layer of gravy made it a real Canadian treat! The dining area is small but can fit a crowd of about 20. The staff is very kind and answered our questions and explained everything. Prices were very reasonable and we had lunch on a budget of about 28 for two people which is very good these days. I will definitely be back. If you have a chance to visit the Erskine Grill, I strongly encourage to do so. Happy travels, and happy eating!

I don't know WHAT is in the salad dressing (did I get a hint of Asian pear?) but it was so refreshing and different from any dressing I've had before. Plus the salad greens, julienned beets, and radishes were super fresh. This is not your average gas station food. If you're ever in the area, please give this place a try!
