Something about this pandemic has made me want to listen to the blues more than ever before. Go figure. And the best place to listen to the blues imho is KFSR online. I first learned about KFSR about ten years ago at a family member's concert in Fresno and really loved their programming. Not only do they play the blues, their Evening Eclectic program is outstanding as is their jazz programming on weekdays. Fridays at 5 pm is the Tiki Lounge Happy Hour. And I even love the Armenian music program on Saturday mornings; it's a call-in show with dedications and the music is something that I've never heard anywhere else. Randy Morris is an amazing musician and expert of jazz music. I truly believe his outstanding music accomplishments on the sax, in one of the top rated university jazz bands in the country coupled with his professional career has made him the premier jazz expert!! I listen when I can on line....Blues Buffet with Don Priest....Love the blues...and have a huge collection of the blues. Big on local bands, too. Don and I go way back to high school...yes we are OLD...well I am...lol. Listen to Bill Clifton on live in studio today. I love rock, blues, rockabilly, jazz, surf instrumentals (Dick Dale, Link Wray, Paul Johnson...Mr. Moto the first rock surf record!!!....and classic rock (to me the Fifties is classic rock...I said I was old. My first record (those 45rpm kind) was School Days by Chuck Berry and my second was I'm Walking by Ricky Nelson...I read the label and discovered Fats Domino...then the dam burst and I was on my way to collecting records...When mom and pop said what I wanted for Christmas back in the 50s...I said...RECORDS.... and boy did I get some and then some....Check out Don's show. read more

Not going to lie, I only listen to KFSR on weekdays from 6:30pm to midnight because that's when the Evening Eclectic is on. EE is the best mix of indie rock, folk, hip-hop, classic rock, and a bunch of other good stuff. I'm actually streaming it online while I write this review. I have been listenting for about 20 minutes and i've only heard one little advertisement about a local event. And if you want an example of their great variety, here's one: I just finished listening to a set that included Jimi Hendrix, Oasis, Regina Spektor, and Bob Dylan. Pretty awesome. Check it out!
