Yikes. From the onset, Dante was extremely thorough and detailed with explaining exactly what he would be doing to my car, the types of products that he would be using, how long the service would likely take and how much the service would cost. The main reason for my appointment was to address the excessive and heavy staining on my seats and to clean out whatever other "surprises" my children managed to get under the seats in places that I can't easily access. Dante asked a bunch of questions regarding the types of stains that were on the seats and how long they had been there so that he was able to properly gauge how to treat the affected areas. And guess what - IT WORKED! And when I say it worked, I mean that I was actually surprised at how good the interior of my car looked when I went to pick it up. Not only were 95% of the stains on my beige seats gone, there were also probably about 3,000 long blonde dog hairs that were completely removed without a trace from the velcro-type material that lines by my trunk!! My 7 year old car basically looks brand new again inside. I truly didn't think that was possible given what it has been put through. To say that Dante does an amazing job would be an understatement. He is so nice but more importantly detail oriented - he was actually polishing and wiping my dashboard and passenger side windows as I was entering my car to leave! My daughter bought a detailing for me for Christmas, an inspired idea. My car is a 2006 Subaru,…read more115,000 miles, not abused but not treated with tender loving care (other than changing oil). It needed a detailing, but I did not know that, never having had a car detailed, only rarely giving it a good clean. I could not see the point of having the car detailed in winter, so I waited until summer to schedule it. Darren called to confirm our appointment, arrived at scheduled time. He had the tools he needed, and the knowledge how to use them. His cleaning emphasized the interior, though clean shining blackwall tires, and a waxed exterior are evidence he did not ignore the outside. The interior is as clean as it has been in years. Two and a half hours of his work, and I am one happy driver. The bad news is that having experienced a well done detailing, I might not be so ready to tolerate the cruddy interior which had not bothered me before. And I will definitely call Distinctive Shine when the time comes. Although I might suggest to my daughter that there is no Christmas present I have received recently which so delighted me. I set up an appointment and Darren came out to the house on Saturday and worked on the car from 8 am to 4 pm and by the time he was done the car looked amazing . Absolutely did a great job on the car. If you are a car nut like myself you become very particular about how your car is washed to minimize scratches and what products are used. Darren used top brand products was professional and worked hard and the results were clear. To top it off his pricing for his service is very reasonable. They installed the living shit out of that remote starter system, let me tell you. Everything from start to finish was fan-flappin-tastic. First I got to talk to Nina who helped me pick out the right package for this install. Then when I came in and met all the people there - Nina's sister being one of them (Sorry Nina's sister, I would probably remember your name if you had the same first name as someone I once crushed on - but since you didn't... hey, at least your husband remembers it, be thankful for that.) Then I came in but I needed to get work done so Nina set up a makeshift remote workstation made up of boxes that I put my laptop and extra monitor on and got to work while they got to work on the car. It took two hours to complete the install and Matthew, who did the install, walked me through remote starting it and downloading the drone app for smartphone-based starting. Matthew is so fucking cool. (How cool is he?) I'm glad you asked. He is so cool, that if i were 1/10 as cool as he is, I'd be the second coolest person on earth. Actually third, Nina's gotta be in there somewhere. I am very happy with the install and I have a feeling that I'll be spending a large percenteage of future paychecks at Team Hot, Sweaty, Greasy, Grimy, Hairy Sack o' Nutz. I used to be a loyal customer. I purchased several subwoofers and multiple sub boxes from this company, and I even used to hang out at the old store during the dB Drag events, where Ed would personally talk with me. Things changed after I had an issue with one of my purchases that I felt was never made right. Instead of resolving the problem the way I expected, Ed built me a custom sub box that ended up being about one-tenth the size I had requested. To make matters worse, he later threatened to sue me for slander after I shared my experience, even though everything I said was truthful to the best of my knowledge and based on my personal experience.
