Crew showed up around 9:00, left for lunch around 11:00 and wrapped up each day by 3:00. They did not introduce themselves upon arrival or ask ANY questions like "where can we put the materials/supplies? Where can we put our ugly dump trailer? Can we set up our saw in front of your garage door?" They were also very sloppy leaving materials all over the yard including large nails and razor blades without regard of dangerous conditions for children and pets. The only reason they got a 2 star instead of a 1 star is because the end result does look nice. Too bad we had to complain and be "one of those customers" to get action.

I recently had an offer to buy my house in Grand Ledge, but the inspection revealed mold in my attic, rotting deck boards on my roof, several rotting 4x4 deck posts under my backyard deck, some electrical boxes that required metal plate covers, one leaking toilet tank and a loose toilet not secured to the ballast in another bathroom. The home sale was made contingent upon fixing all these issues with paid receipts from a licensed contractor prior to closing. Closing was tentatively set for the end of September (approximately 20 days from the discovery of all these identified issues), and I was very worried that I would not be able to find a contractor or contractors who could complete all that work prior to the end of September. Blake personally came out to my house right away after I contacted him and crawled up into my tiny attic access to identify what would be required to mitigate the mold, replace the rotting decking as well as shingle the entire roof (house and garage) which had no top ventilation (thus causing the mold and rotting deck boards). He also identified what was needed to replace the deck posts under my deck as well as the toilet fixes and electrical box covers needed. I could not imagine any contractor would be able to complete all that work in less than 20 days to meet the tentative closing date before the end of September, but Blake assured me that he would be able to line up a roofing crew to complete the roof tear off, decking replacement and shingling within 15 days, AND he said he could mitigate the mold on the existing insulation and the trusses when the crew tore off the rotting roof boards. He also said he would be able to dig down and jackhammer the cement out from underneath the rotting deck support beams and install new treated lumber 4x4 beams with new concrete poured around them, as well as fixing the two toilets and covering the electrical boxes with the required metal covers. He immediately put together a very reasonable estimate for the roofing job and mold remediation, and he said all work could be completed within 15 days! On top of that, I was leaving for a pre planned family vacation for 10 days during most of those 15 days! I quickly paid him a deposit on the day I was leaving town, and I was shocked and pleasantly surprised that he was able to do it all (and for a VERY reasonable price) before I returned from my vacation! Blake provided outstanding results and excellent communication both before and after the project was completed. Anyone who has ever had to find contractors for the wide variety of work I needed done knows how difficult it is to even find contractors who are capable of doing all those things let alone one contractor who can do it all within 15 days of providing an estimate. He secured a building permit, completed all the work and hauled away all the debris including old shingles, rotted decking boards, and broken up concrete and rotted 4x4 beams before I arrived home 10 days later and everything was done perfectly! The grass, driveway, wood decks and surrounding bushes and plants were kept clean and in excellent condition during all the work that was completed as well. I seriously cannot find the words to describe how grateful I was that I hired Blake Kopulos (owner of Kopulos Construction Services, LLC), and I absolutely give him my highest recommendation possible! You will not regret hiring him for any construction/contractor services you need done at your home or business!
