Best Nails Salon!!!! I went to this nails salon as I was visiting Victoria. I am originally from States but have lived in multiple countries before. I usually get nails done on special occasions and this one was literally my favorite nails salon visit ever. The staff here is family and they have amazing service. They offered me noodles and tea which was a great additional aspect of the service. Coming to the work, there manicure and pedicure is so perfect that they follow all the steps accurately and the customer is left with amazing look. I wish they had a salon in the US too. I would definitely get my manicure and pedicure done from them again on my next visit to Victoria. It's literally the best Nail Salon!!! read more

If i could put zero stars, I would. I went in yesterday for a fill on my acrylic nails, they took almost two hours and were completely unprofessional the entire time. Would not recommend. Overbooked, rushed and unsanitary. Booked an appointment for 3 of us in advance for a birthday celebration. Showed up on time to our appointmen, no one available to do our nails. A young kid ended up doing my friends (clearly not his profession - I felt bad for him). My other friend had theirs done about 10 minutes later then mine 20 minutes after my appointment. The polish application on mine wasn't great and asked for them to do one more layer and was told no - I think they needed to get onto the next client. The tables they sat us at were covered in fingernail dust and clippings. Nothing was wiped down before or after our appointment. At least they put a towel down for us. The clippers were not sanitized before - sitting on the table. read more

I called ahead to schedule a pedi and a full set with gel nails. They offered some tea and noodles while getting the pedi and I said that tea was fine. But apparently it is a bundled deal (complimentary of course). I ate noodles and drank tea while relaxing in a massage chair getting my legs massaged with hot stones. Once my set was done I was offered more noodles...I refused but was sent away with a complimentary bowl for later. And some cute toes and vacation nails. Great experience. Memorable. Funny. This place was a lovely find. Visiting from Seattle for the weekend, I needed a reliable quick nail salon to replace my grown out shellac manicure. I saw this spot had great reviews, and my experienced live up to them. Service was great - very thorough, I could tell she was experienced. I was still in an out of there in 45 minutes, including taking off the shellac from my previous manicure. She was also very nice and friendly during the whole visit. I really wanted to give this place a great review but I am really bummed out about the polish on my toe nails. I am in town from the states so my time is limited. I had a Shellac manicure, which is perfect and a pedicure. My polish on my toes is bubbling on 6 of my toenails. I asked them to fix it and instead of reapplying the polish they just added another clear coat on top. When I got back to the place I am staying, it is bubbling again. I don't have time to go back before I leave, I am really bummed to spend all this money this service to have to have a redo on my toe nails when I get home. read more

I had really good service here for years. During my second appointment after reopening I commented that not every client was wearing mask prior to salon entry, and several sat down sans mask. I had a really good tech, Adele, and made a repeat appointment with her for three weeks at a quieter time in the morning. I found this salon after searching on Yelp during our recent trip to Victoria. Our hotel had a salon in-house, but the pedicure price was $75 alone and I wasn't feeling like spending that much after all the other splurges over the weekend. So I found KH Silver (it has a sign that says "Crown-something" over it, so don't be confused!) which offered a mani-pedi for $45. Sold! First of all, the woman who did my pedicure gets an extra star for going to town on my callouses. Disgusting, I know, but I run a lot and they're unavoidable. All the salons back home typically spend about two minutes with the cheese grater (sorry) and call it a day, but she was literally grinding down for 20 minutes, and my feet have never been so smooth! I eventually told her she could stop, since both of us were sweating by that point. The rest of the pedicure went great and then she tag-teamed another worker to do the polish and the manicure. Since I was on vacation, I had only brought walking sneakers but they were really nice about letting me stay till my toes dried and making sure everything was ok before I left. Also, as other reviewers have noted, everyone in the salon is super friendly and solicitous. One of the guys kept offering everyone candy and noodles, to the point where when one woman finally said yes to noodles, the entire salon cheered. It was a very welcoming vibe and I would definitely take them up on the offer to come back on my birthday (apparently they buy you cake!) if I lived in the area. But for now, all I can do is recommend this salon to other visitors and enjoy my smooth heels for another few weeks :) read more

I can't get over how friendly everyone was at KH Silver Nails! I was up in Victoria for my end of the year vacation over the New Years holiday and the gel manicure I got done a while ago was peeling like crazy so I really had to make a visit while I was in Victoria. The shop is small, but don't get fooled by the looks! They have so many color choices and they are very skilled! It was a very busy day for them since it was New Year's Eve, but they still took me in as a walk-in and even my friend later on. I was offered water, tea, candies, and even an actual meal while I was waiting. Everyone is fun to chat with. I went with a design already on my nails and I wanted to keep the exact same design and they were able to do it! The worst gel nails I have ever had in 5 years I went in to get a fill and a repair on 3 nails She immediately started taking off all my nails I asked many times why as when I am home at my gel nail specialist she has never removed a nail, just smooths out and trims length and puts new gel on top At home they last about 4 weeks , but getting done at this shop, 2 days and one fell off, and the tip Broke off on another They were so thin coated that 2 more cracked as well Plus the fact I paid double what I paid at home Not a good experience No I did not go back as she would not stop when asked to not remove all the gel nails the first time read more

This place is great! The owner has family members working there. He's always making sure that his clients are not only comfy but happy and fed. He'll offer you tea, candies and noodles yes noodles! If you say not to noodles he jokingly says he'll charge you five dollars more. :) the other day I went in to get my monthly gel fill on my nails and I watched a customer search for her flip flops to no avail. She laughed and said that someone probably took them by mistake because there was no way someone would take them on purpose as they are very old. The owner tried asking her how much she paid for them and she refused to say because she said that it just didn't matter because they were old, she repeated. He kept insisting and she kept refusing. So finally he said that the nail/ pedi was on the house and he brought a pair of brand new flip flops. This is the kind of place it is. They aren't supper fancy or glitzy but they do do a wonderful job. You really do need to make an appointment because they are super busy as people recognize a good deal and a great job when they see it. Check it out! Highly recommend it. My daughter and I had by the far the funnest and most unique mani/pedis ever here! We made an appointment ahead of time, which I'd suggest as they were busy the whole time we were there. Upon arriving we were greeted by some very friendly folks and taken to our chairs, which is where the funnest parts happened. First off they did solid work, super detailed and clearly care about the produce they put out. The funny part is they offered everyone in the room noodles! Who does that?!?! When most of the people getting services at the time declined the noodle offer one of the guys went next door and before we knew it individual slices of pizza were delivered. They all but forced us to take the pizza, we kinda felt like we'd be insulting them if we didn't. It was hysterical. And the pizza was pretty awesome! We left laughing and with much prettier hands and feet than when we entered. I'd highly recommend them!! read more

Had a nail fill and gel polish while on vacation in Victoria, HUGE MISTAKE!! This salon in not clean, the light used for curing was filthy and covered in grime, the polish bottles dusty and grimy! Wonder what their infection protocol is at this salon! YUCK!!! My nails were too thick, edges were rough, polish was not smooth. I asked for thinner nails and the technician said they couldn't be thinner, are you kidding me? The fill was not done properly so my nails began to lift just 2 days later as I was on route home from vacation. Long story short I had to have my fill and gel polish redone once I returned home, 4 days later! I paid cash and it I hadn't I'd be demanding a refund! My experience at KH has been great, the owners are welcoming and kind. I received a great massage during my pedicure by a younger man and really enjoyed my conversation with a woman who did my manicure. My only complaint is the length my gel pedicure lasted for. Within the week my manicure started to peel (twice). At other salons I can wear my nails out for a month if I wanted to. However my pedicure is still going strong! read more

I've Been here twice now to get gel polish & they do a great job, they do the perfect layer of polish, I wash my hands a lot & it stays on for a good 2 weeks or so without chipping. This nail salon did a terrible job on my nails so I went back the next day to have them removed and even though I just wanted them taken off, the lady would not listen and insisted on redoing them. I wish I had been more assertive with her. She put a very thick layer of acrylic and sat there silently filing my nails by hand. This took quite a while. The result was nails so short there was no point to having all that acrylic on them and so thick that I could not pick anything up. Then, when my nail started growing out I could see a noticeable dent at the bottom of the fake nail - not good! I had them filled somewhere else and we discovered that the lady had filed all the way down through the layers of my nail - right through to the nail bed on a couple of my fingers. This was very painful to get filled but I had no choice. Putting my fingers under UV light had me crying due to the burning pain. If that wasn't enough, I now had fungus growing on almost every single finger nail... the ladies at this other salon had never seen a case as bad as mine. usually they might see it on one or 2 nails, never on over half of them! Obviously there is an issue with the sanitation of nail equipment at KH Silver Nails. If I knew where I could report this Salon so that they could get a Health Inspection done I would have done so already! It's shocking that I had paid good money to get my nails abused like this at a professional downtown nail salon which has a business licence to operate. You would think it was done by an amateur. It has been a couple months now and my nails are still growing out I am so lucky that there wasn't any permanent damage to my nail bed and my nails are actually able to slowly recover. I went in to get a new set of nails, got there early, and they took in right away. The young women who did my nails did a great job. My nails look great and cannot beat the price $45.00 for complete set! All the others when not busy with other customers came and welcomed me like I was coming for a visit into their home. A very nice young man asked if I wanted something to drink which was a really nice touch! All of these women were very friendly, they even told me I could come back and talk to them even if I wasn't getting my nails done! It was a wonderful experience and I would recommend them to anyone! Small and cozy but good. We came to Victoria on holiday and were looking for a place to get our nails done. We decided to try this place, and while it wasn't the best pedicure I've had, the people there definitely made up for it. My one complaint about the pedicure was that my cuticles were cut painfully short, to the point where the nail polish burnt when it was applied. However, the playful banter was fun and kept my spirits high while we were there. And after a long day of walking, nothing felt as good as soaking my feet in hot water. read more

Nail clippings and nail dust on every surface. They clearly use the files and buffers on multiple clients. Do not know if the instruments have been processed between clients.
