Dr khoury has great ppl skills and I will be going back to have my gkids exam with him however no real structure in the office and I will not purchase the frames again from the office. The staff is unprofessional , the overall cost of the frames is outrageous. The young ppl helping customers are friending enough but they are very busy chasing and redirecting their children they bring to the job that they are not focusing on customers nor answering and active listening to the customers. read more

Dr. Khoury a very good. He is a good listener, answers all questions, and fun to talk too. I believe he is the best Eye Doctor in Gallup. Nevertheless, he is also a Big Fish in a small pond. Dr. Khoury's Office personal are Horrible. Rude, misinformed, do not ever answer phone call, never respond to phone calls, when nobody is in the showroom every customer is ignored, or greeted. It has gotten so bad that I have to write letters-via USPS. Those go unanswered too. Being the Owner of KEC the lack of management fall directly on Dr. Khoury's Desk. If Dr. Khoury was not the BEST in this area, I would never go. The Dysfunctional Office is a reflection of Dr. Khoury. I hope Dr. Khoury reads this... Time for a Change. Paid over 1000$ out of pocket. They firmly refused to schedule an appointment for my exam and forced me to do a walk in. Rushed eye exam. Discourteous, unprofessional, and condescending staff that disparaged me and my eye concerns. I was unsatisfied with my glass lenses both times I returned to Khoury and waited 6 weeks for my contacts to get in. This was by far the worst experience of my life and will not be returning and won't recommend this establishment to anyone. read more

Needed a small part to my glasses replaced. One they've replaced the few times it has broken in shop. They've done it before, but got it sent to their repair company this last repair. Upon receiving my glasses back. They were badly damaged. Seeing as how they were priced higher. I would've liked better card for the glasses, but probably will be the last time I buy glasses from their company. Dr. Khoury is a good optometrist. The workers there aren't the best. read more

Horrible customer service. We bought glasses and paid for an eye exam just over a year ago. My wife is a special ed teacher in Gallup and one of her special needs kids snatched her glasses from her face and broke the frame. When we asked to purchase a replacement frame, we were told that since it's been a year we would have to pay for another eye exam. They refused to give us a copy of the prescription unless we paid for another exam. Her insurance will only pay for an eye exam once every 2 years. None of that mattered to them. Clearly they are only interested in profit and don't give a darn about customer service. We encourage everyone in Gallup to find any other source for their eye care needs. read more

Dr. Khoury is amazing! I never went to any other optometrist before. He is extremely nice & helpful. Although, front desk staff are rude! I never felt so bad & downgraded before regarding a situation. Dr. Khoury did fix my situation but front desk staff handled it so poorly! Sales people are nice & helpful. Dr. Khoury is Great! The Sales people are Great! The "Front Desk" people are absolutely horrible. I would ad more to my experiences at Dr. Khoury's (Posted on Yelp) "Front Desk" employees however, @ 98% of the experiences all other of Dr. Khoury's Patients experience the same problems with Dr. Khoury's "administrators" as I do. I wonder what Dr. Khoury thinks about when he sees "most patients" comment/complain about the same thing? Year after Year. I don't get it. My girls' and I went to Khoury Eye Care. We asked for our prescription so we could go somewhere else to buy our glasses. We were told we had to buy our prescription if we wanted it. I did not know at the time this was a violation of the Federal Trade Commission. Getting your routine eye exam is an important part of living a healthy life. My husband took his glasses in for a simple repair. The technician broke his glasses and the owners did not try to offer assistance. Instead they told my husband he had to buy a whole new pair for $320. Even though he did NOT break the glasses. Absolutely terrible! read more

Overall a horrible place. The doctor was rude and the staff was unprofessional. I went in for glasses and contacts. He refused to give me my contact prescription and the brand unless I bought contacts from him. I always get my contact prescription and brand name and order them later. He refused! And three weeks later when my glasses were ready to pick up, I asked for my contact prescription and they said there was no record of a contact exam! The receptionist argued with me and insisted that there was no contact exam. They also do not know how to properly fit glasses. This is an unethical business. read more

I have been going to Khoury for all our eye exams and never had a problem until today. When I asked for an appointment slip, I was told that appointment slips were not given to patient because when given, patients do not show up for their exams. I did not understand this response. I can only get a doctor's statement after the exam! I have never been told this by a provider before but how could one ask for time off from work when there is no support to show for a scheduled appointment? read more

Dr. Khoury is a wonderful person! I've gotten contact exams at other eye glass places in a gallup and they are absolute trash! Dr. Balfour ruined my vision. My one concern with Khoury's office is that the receptionist NEVER answers the phone. I have called many times over and over and nothing! It's so frustrating. I've only gotten lucky once in the past 3 weeks when the receptionist answered and was in a rush to talk. Other than that, Khoury is great and I recommend him. read more

Overall displeased with the way the doctor interacted with me and his unwillingness to actually listen to my concerns and problems. Went in the day after Easter for a routine exam and a contact exam. Was unhappy with how rushed I felt during the visit, but shrugged it off because I was a walk in and was mostly happy someone was able to fit me in. Glasses came back a week and a half later (purchased at Walmart) and took a little longer than normal to adjust to, but otherwise okay. Only downside of that aspect is I was quoted $63 +tax for a routine eye exam over the phone and instead charged $89 for an "intermediate" exam that felt quite a lot less than my experience with routine. Contacts, on the other hand, gave me crazy headaches and seemed to differ from my glasses prescription. Long story short, after two follow ups and much frustration at feeling unheard and patronized, prescription still feels off and I've been told that I don't have a problem. What they fail to tell you when they fit you with trial lenses is that if you are unhappy and wish to go elsewhere, you are financially responsible for the trial lenses. Went in to get a refund of the non-optional prepayment for 2 boxes of contacts and found out the hard way. I feel ripped off and now have to find another doctor if I want contacts. I'd avoid this doctor of contacts are what you're wanting. read more
