Service was slow and spotty, but I didn't mind, I was enjoying the patio and had conveyed no sense of urgency or need for attention to the waitstaff. Outdoor ambiance is casual and permits smoking. I did not inquire for an English menu so I am unsure if it existed, Italian food is pretty universal in my opinion. They accept cash and bank card (debit card) only. They do not accept credit cards. If they are confused by a non- Maestro debit card, simply insist they try, it will work.

It's located in a side street of the pedestrian zone, so easy to get to, but easily overlooked since it's a half-level below street level. Rather small, with about a dozen tables and a limited bar area, but outside tables in the summer. Due to the size, reservations are recommended, unless you're on your own or as a couple. Large groups could have problems fitting, so best for 2-4 people. When I came in on a Saturday evening at 18:30, all the free tables were reserved (but for later in the evening), so was still able to be seated. Started off with a nice cream of tomato soup, then turkey stuffed with avocado from the seasonal menu. There's also a good selection of pasta, pizza, as well as some meat and fish dishes. Service was very prompt. Prices are slightly above average, but definitely worth the price. Not your run-of-the-mill Italian on the corner, and has the customers to match. The staff was very friendly (offering the table in advance of the following reservation). Definitely recommended for Italian food in an upper-scale atmosphere (but certainly not pretentious).

The staff were very friendly & gave us a good seat to accommodate the baby's pushchair, the decor was quaint & they were English friendly (even had English menus) however the food could have been better. I had a minestrone soup which was nice & my hubby had melon & parma ham - which he said was great (the starters were also a good size). The disappointment came when our main courses arrived, I opted for Penne Al'Arrabiatta & my other half had the fillet steak with pepper sauce. There is no doubt in my mind that the steak was not a fillet, if it was then the restaurant owner should think seriously about changing his butcher, however it was well disguised under a gallon of sauce. The accompanying vegetables were also well over cooked. My pasta was not offensive in any way but I could have made nicer at home myself - although again the portion was very generous. I wish my review could be more complementary as the staff were great & the place itself was lovely but I was disappointed. Will I go back again? Possibly, to give it another chance at some point in the future but would I recommend it to someone as a great restaurant? Sorry but no.

Traditional wood fired oven. Sardinian red wine very good. Service friendly, but when busy can get a little confusing and the place is often full with tables reserved. Some of the best pizza that I've eaten.
