The burger variety on the menu is superb. My friend and went halves on two items- a lamb harissa burger (very juicy and tasty too) and a hot dog with an unusual topping of sage stuffing (so glad I tried it). The flavors in both were well balanced. The crisps (fries) that accompanied it were just right. Before our order was brought they placed a delicious plate of hoummos out with some warmed pita- nice touch. The ambience is very nice- modern and clean with an opne kitchen/grill. The service was good and you could tell they were working out the kinks. Eager toplease and I do not hesitate to recomeend them. The skewers section offered an interesting range of proteins. We tried lamb meatballs and salmon, both were lovely and moist, served with some salad leaves. The veggies offering included kohrabi, asparagus or fennel salads combined with quinoa, black rice and poached egg bases. These were fresh, tasty and all had 3 or 4 different complimenting components. Soup of the day was vichyssoise and it was smooth, creamy and flavourful. We also tried the spinach and artichoke dip which was insanely good. So good, in fact, I'm dreaming about a successful home recreation. And the thought they are giving me a complimentary bit of bread did nothing to make me feel less cheated. There's always a queue outside this place and service is pretty brisk. Note that it's not the best food you'll ever have, but it is plentiful and okay quality. The chicken is definitely not shwarma quality. It's more on the doner scale. I didn't like the garlic or chilli sauce either. Normally the quality of food at a kebab shop is correlative to the quality of chilli. Places that make their own normally score much higher for me. I probably wouldn't try this place again as there is so much more to try on Leather Lane, but it's adequate if you're looking for a kebab in the area.
