A bit of exactly what you expect a greasy kebab joint to be like. Yes there is rice in the window that makes you think this is a little more than a kebab joint but you'd be fooling yourself.
This is cheap and cheerful kebab.
I've walked past this place on Leather Lane in London many a time and always wanted to visit because it looked dirt cheap. £3.50 for a kebab or £4 for a chicken shwarma with rice, salad and halloumi.
There's always a queue outside this place and service is pretty brisk. Note that it's not the best food you'll ever have, but it is plentiful and okay quality. The chicken is definitely not shwarma quality. It's more on the doner scale. I didn't like the garlic or chilli sauce either. Normally the quality of food at a kebab shop is correlative to the quality of chilli. Places that make their own normally score much higher for me.
I probably wouldn't try this place again as there is so much more to try on Leather Lane, but it's adequate if you're looking for a kebab in the area. read more
