This salon is really a gem. I discovered the salon accidentally probably close to 10 years ago and would go for Keratin treatments. I've been to a lot of salons the ones who chop your hair because they destroy it by over processing and getting you in and out in ~1-2 hour (highlights, lowlights and done). The ones that care about quantity over quality and I wondered why my hair would never grow?!?! Fast forward many many years and I now only go to Kick Back for everything. I see Laisea who after fixing someone else's bad root touchup prior to my Keratin has now seen me through years and years of color and style changes. Her patience and attention to detail is something you will not find elsewhere. I went from dry damaged hair that refused to grow and contemplating extensions to not needing them at all. My hair is the healthiest it has ever been, long and my color is always done to perfection. Hair health and education is something this salon really cares about. The products used are top notch. The atmosphere of the salon is second to none. Although I could run out of good things to say about Laisea I have been going for so long I have never seen anything but amazing work from anyone else. I have and will continue to recommend Kick Back to friends and family. On a recent recommendation I was directed here and wanted to share my experience and what I have actually seen through all these years. I have been going to Kick Back for 6 years. No one has ever done a better job with my hair than Anne Marie. When I first moved to Florida, I tried several different Stylists and was not particularly pleased. Then my daughter found Kick Back and suggested I try them. Everyone in the shop is pleasant and professional and Anne Marie does a wonderful job EVERY TIME. I am a former Stylist and am very particular about my hair. I certainly would not settle for less than the best. I was in the shop the day Carmen B and her sister were there. As a former Stylist, I know about color. I saw nothing wrong with the woman's hair. What was wrong was her attitude. She was asking for something that was impossible and totally unnecessary. When she didn't hear what she wanted to hear, she proceeded to throw a temper tantrum like a 5 year old child and verbally attack everyone in the salon. No one had raised their voice to this woman until she started shouting and using the "F..." word - in front of small children, I might add. At that time, she was told to leave and she continued her tirade for another 5 minutes. Trust me, we all breathed a huge sigh of relief when she and her sister finally left. Best hair salon ever!!! OK you want extensions but don't know where to go?? Or the prices are REALLY high?? Not here. Kick back has the BEST prices around HANDS DOWN. Like half the price of any other salon I had called. I first came here 5 years ago to get micro-links (extensions) done because my hair was SO damaged from bleaching it. Since then Anne Marie has never put bleach on my head and my hair has grown so much. Now I've taken the extensions out because my real hair grew so long and it's almost down to my butt! I keep coming here for my highlights & color and always ask for Anne Marie because she's amazing . Lacey & Clarice are amazing too! I literally will NOT go anywhere else. I drive about 35 minutes south just to come here because once you find that one salon or stylist who actually listens and is really an artist you NEVER STRAY. The extensions are the best around. No glue or heat. No weaves. You can shampoo and condition , blow dry, curl, straighten or pretty much do anything to them. Just take care of them!! I've tried all of the fancy salons in the delray/Boca area and honestly I was never happy and they always damaged my hair. I am a firm believer that if I have a great experience I will tell my friends who in turn can tell their friends etc. First of all my experience at this salon was the very best I have ever had. I called and spoke with the owner David who spent at least 20 minutes on the phone with me about the salon and the services they provided. A few weeks later I then went to the salon and had a consulation with Ann Marie. She was fully knowledgeable, a true master in the business. I did a lot of research on the extension application this salon did and was convinced that this was the safest way to go to prevent me from loosing my natural hair. I showed up couple weeks later for my appointment and was greeted by the owner and Ann Marie. Hours later I walked out of Kick Back feeling like a new woman. What sets them aside is that they genuinely care about the client. They listen and offer suggestions to help the customer attain the knowledge that they need to keep the extensions looking wonderful everyday. Thank you Kick Back for such a wonderful experience. I was at Kick Back Hair Affair with my children when that Psycho Carmen B. was cursing the F*** Bomb to poor Laci and Ann Marie the Owner. She had no disregard that my young children where listening to her white trash mouth. If anyone has real sense in their head they will disregard her unjustified comments. That woman needs to seek professional Psychological help. I have taken my two children to Kick Back Hair Affair for years. After going to many different Salons myself I decided to try Kick Back Hair Affair for myself and after seeing the wonderful work they did not just on my hair but also my children I will never go anywhere else. Ann Marie the owner is such a sweetheart and her husband David too. Susan is great with my childrens hair. Clarice does wonderful work with color and cut and for the record I have seen first hand the work that Laci does and she is wonderful with color and cuts and if Psycho Carmen B. thinks she can find a better place to get her and her sisters hair done then I say good luck to you! Don't let the name fool you ! Kick Back doesn't refer to the quality of work. I've had the best experience at this salon. I've been a regular customer at Kick Back for about two years and would recommend this place to anyone in need of a coloring or even extensions. Anne Marie put extensions in my hair two years ago and since then my hair has grown faster than it ever did before even with a partial highlight each visit. My hair is thick again after years of bleaching and damage! I drive 30 miles just to come to Kick Back because they truly treat me like a valued customer and always pay attention to the condition of my hair, then and now. For anyone interested in extensions - GO TO KICK BACK. My life has changed since coming to them and I will continue to use them for my coloring even after I am done with the extensions. I discovered this hidden gem by my EX....My EX has gorgeous healthy hair and when he FINALLY fezzed up that he had been getting Keratin to tame his humidity-prone frizz....AND COLOR and CUTS with Ana Marie... He recommended I go see Anna Marie (SHE IS AWESOME.....) She is truly professional, knowledgeable, expert colorist (I went to her wanting a NEW radically different hair color...AND, SHE NAILED the color from my description the very first time...) I LOVE how beautiful my hair is but best of all frizz-free and healthy! Would TOTALLY recommend this hidden gem!!! It's been about 2 weeks since Laisea (pronounced Lacey) did my keratin treatment & I couldn't be happier with the results! I will no longer have to keep searching for a keratin specialist! She is truly the best, & they're the real deal with their products & honesty. She was extremely nice, attentive, & true to detail. As we talked throughout the process she also explained / answered a lot of questions I would have wanted to ask, yet would have probably forgotten to do so. I'm in love with my silky straight hair, & grateful for her sharing her knowledge on how to take care of my hair, not just during the first 48 hours, but even after the first wash. Had a great experience with Clarice ,I was really worried about getting my hair cut because of a few bad experiences I had in the past when I come to Florida for the winter. The owner was very friendly and I didn't have a very long wait before Clarice finished her client and I was next. She did a great job cutting my hair and I will be back for sure.
