As a bar, Forestry Tap & Axe is pretty average. However, they do have a decent selection of tap…read morebeer featuring local brewers such as Rocky Reef. What really stands out here are the games, including axe throwing, shuffle board, Hammerschlagen (a nail pounding game), darts, pool, ping pong, cribbage, and probably something else that I didn't see. Their shuffle board table is one of the best I've ever played on -- full sized, smooth and fast. It may take a few tries to get the hang of it, but once you get zeroed in it makes for a great game. And, of course, as their name implies, the featured activity is axe throwing. Tossing a dangerous tool, trying to stick it in a wooden wall, and hitting the target for maximum points is harder than it looks. But once you get the technique mastered (even partially) it is incredibly satisfying and a lot of fun. Three stars for the bar, five four the games, four overall.
