After…read moregoing through two appointments where they failed to apply glue to my retainer properly, they refused to fix it & insisted I find an orthodontist for the simple procedure I've never had an issue with from anyone else. The first instance they burned my mouth with the glue, which has never happened to me before any other time over the 16 years I've had my retainer worked on. The second time they applied glue to the wrong tooth on the wrong side of my mouth despite me being very clear on what was needed. Afterwards they gaslit me instead of acknowledging and apologizing for their mistake and argued with me about which tooth they had worked on last time when I know what happened in my own mouth! After consulting with an orthodontist I was told this procedure falls within a dentist's scope and they should fix their mistake while I'm searching for a new dentist. They refused to help me even though I pleaded with them to relieve my suffering due to the tension from a retainer that they haven't glued in properly. The whole reason in came loose in the first place was due to them being overly aggressive with it during a cleaning. I've never been treated so poorly by people who are supposed to take care of patients in my life!

Dr. Kim was extremely personable! I was impressed immediately from the fact that she was the one to call us back from the waiting room and do the X-rays herself after taking time to explain what we might see on the new X-rays. She ended up getting SIGNIFICANTLY better images than the ones we had from the other office and was able to prove there was no cavity. The other office was ready to put a crown on that tooth and sealant on all the other molars costing us over $600 AFTER the membership discount from the package we paid for for the year. Where the other office seemed very corporate and all about how many patients they could see at a time and jumping the gun on charging us for unnecessary procedures based on horrible images, Dr. Kim couldn't have been more opposite. She has a small office with only a couple of exam chairs so she can offer more personal treatments. And it really feels like she cares more about your child's dental health than how she can profit off of you as a patient. We will recommend Dr. Kim to any and everyone!

All four of my children have had braces with Dr. Koen. Their prices were the best we found, but it was their professional and detailed explanation and answers to our questions that convinced us to go with Dr. Koen. Before coming to Dr. Koen, we shopped around. We initially went with an Orthodontist that was recommended by a friend. The treatment for my oldest kid did not go anything like that Orthodontist described so we searched for help and after interviewing several Orthodontist, we found Dr. Koen. He provided a treatment plan to help my oldest child recover for the unnecessary surgery that was recommended by our first Orthodontist. A surgery that did not even closely produce the desired outcome. So, if any Orthodontist (and I mean any) recommend surgery, come talk to Dr. Koen first. Get a second or third opinion! Surgery should almost never be the first option (my personal opinion). However, surgery can not always be avoided, but you will get a detailed description of what you can expect with Dr. Koen. With Dr. Koen's advice and guidance, we avoided several unnecessary oral surgery procedures that were recommended for my younger 3 kids by other Orthodontist. The treatments for my kids went exactly as Dr. Koen described. We elected for porcelain braces for all four kids due to their theatrical performances. The up charge for porcelain was about 50% of what our first Orthodontis and others quoted us. They are very punctual and have the scheduling down to a science. As you can tell by my review, we are extremely happy with Dr. Koen and I know you will be also!
