I had an absolutely horrible experience "selling" with kid to kid. First off the workers couldn't even offer me a cart or to even open the door for me watching me struggle as I brought in several boxes literally large, moving boxes worth of things. They asked if everything was freshly laundered, and if all sets were together to which I confirmed, yes, and they were. The older lady who checked me in only told me a couple items she was not accepting, and then walked off the whole process was 100% unclear on what was being accepted versus what was being declined. I 100% understand that they can't buy everything and everything is based off of current inventory and what they can sell fast so I want to assure anybody reading this review that I am not mad about them not buying my stuff. But I am mad about is the fact they didn't make their process clear and couldn't even treat me a little bit of human decency. I would like to thank Ren and the tall young boy with wavy brown hair and light eyes who helped me out to my car with the stuff, considering I was recovering from Surgery and I was already spent in this Florida heat. Those were the only two individuals who even treated me like I was a human coming into that store versus some piece of trash just trying to get money for crack or something. What really annoys me the most about this whole experience is of course they only took my designer boutique items, but I understand why but they didn't even take the complete set. They only took certain parts of each set, leaving me with a bathing hat, but they took the bathing suit or they took the dress and left me with the bloomers. If you expect me to keep all the sets together, and I have to go through all this work to make sure everything's together then you better take the entire damn set and not just half of it. They also didn't keep the sets together on the items that they did not accept. I had to go through everything again and pair everything up. Do not expect me to have the professional courtesy to do these things and then you can't even be kind enough to do it back to me. If I were a firefighter I wouldn't step foot in this place, even if it were on fire because absolutely screw these people Also wanna say they charge outrageous prices for clothing that has been very well loved. read more

I popped in a few weeks ago looking for a wooden baby walker. I was surprised to see how expensive the second hand items were. Yes, everything I looked at was in good condition (so at-least you know the quality is still there) but some of the prices were very close to the original purchase price of the items. I also wasn't able to find anything that I was looking for so, I'm not sure if it was really worth the trip. *I can't comment on the service from the employees as no one asked me if I needed help. from someone who used to work at a second hand store and who loves Kid2Kid, this location and staff today were a chaotic mess. 1. when I first came in, there was an employee who looked like she was about to pass out and the manager was chewing her out for taking a moment to breathe and stand by a fan. 2. I had a large box and a toddler with me, and it was such a hassle to get help or a cart or some way to keep my toddler safe while getting the box inside. you'd think they'd be more prepared or helpful with this. 3. at the buyout counter, I asked if I could run next door to get a snack while they assessed my items. the employee told me I could but that meant they might not get to my order today and seemed pretty stiff toward me. so me and my hangry toddler hung out while she worked and then I hear her very politely tell the man in line behind me that it's totally fine if he runs next store! what?!? 4. the buyout lady kept telling me to shop while she worked but I told her I'm just here to sell today. it felt pushy and kind of sexist that she pushed me to shop while letting the man go run his errand. 5. like I said, I used to work at a second hand store so I have done buyouts before. the reasons she gave for rejection didn't make sense. she said there were quality issues on brand new items that had literally never been used and that some of the gender neutral items were too specific. normally I don't mind if they reject my items but to put in all this work and time for hardly any money and a very rude experience was pretty frustrating. read more

What a great idea! Went there to let my daughter sell her toys and clothes, whatever they won't purchase you can donate to a local thrift store which is awesome. They had a large selection of kids clothes, books, toys, baby strollers and plenty other items. The staff was great, explained how the process works and where the donations go. When they are done processing you items they call you up, you either can get cash or store credit. Store credit is usually a few more dollars, my daughter found some things she wanted so we did store credit. It can get packed as the isles aren't the widest, and a lot of people come in to drop off items for purchase. It helped show the value of money to my 9 year old. If you have items in good condition, try sell them and or donate! read more

I've been here a few times now, pretty good selection of clothes, books, toys, etc. Definitely helps when needing to get rid of clothes my little one has grown out of and for a reasonable price in either cash or store credit. On top of store credit you also get an extra 20%. They also have a military discount. Sales are great too. If you have an account there they even send you texts to let you know when the sales are happening. A great way to find play clothes for my daughter and not having to break the bank. They also have some things that haven't been used, original tags and all. The staff is friendly so that's a plus. Although I wish the book area was a little more organized, I get the mess if the little ones are moving things around constantly. read more

We have bought and sold clothes here and we have had good experiences overall. The store is clean. Everything is well organized. Staff is nice from what I can tell. Pricing is pretty good. Location is great, it's near a Whole Foods and many other stores right off the interstate. They always seem to have a good selection of books, clothes and toys. Downside is that some of the toys don't look clean or in good shape. Overall it's a solid store that's worth checking periodically for new arrivals. read more

Brought in several bags full of great kids clothes from the last 2 years, they only took 3 items and told me "everything was too old for them". Nothing I brought had holes, stains, worn out. While waiting for them to go through the bags I browsed around the store and saw so many clothes that were worn from washing, old kid clothes from brands that aren't even sold anymore in stores and haven't for years. Came in to sell brand new jeans and shoes in original packaging. During the inventory the process took forever and the lady ripped all of the new packaging my items came in. The issue wasn't even that they offered me $20 dollars for $150 of brand new items it was that she ripped all of my new packaging of my items! Now they don't look new at all. I was one in f the first to arrive, they pointed to a shelf and gruffly said "put your stuff there". Do NOT bring anything here. They will steal everything from you. I want to start by saying that I called in advance and had asked if there was any policy in regards to same day pick ups. The woman had told me that they wouldn't get to my items that day anyways and that they would text me when everything was evaluated. A few days later, I get a notification that my items are ready for pickup.... In which they offered me not even 1/5 of what the items were worth. I chose to decline the offer and pick up my items. As I go to pick up my items, the cashier hands me the cash for the items they want to buy. Again, I had politely declined the offer and told her that I wanted my items back. She proceeds to tell me that the items they took were already mixed in with their store inventory and that there was no way of doing that. Since there was apparently no way of getting the items back that I NEVER approved of being sold... I had asked for the items that they didn't want. She then informed me that THE REST OF MY ITEMS WERE DONATED. Again, something that was NEVER approved. All I have to say is how disgusted I am with a company that claims to be helping families in need, because you did mine so dirty. You all should be ashamed of yourselves. I love me a consignment store! Especially when it comes to finding cute clothes for my kiddos. I've been to consignment stores across Jacksonville and this one is by far the most organized and clean and with friendly staff to boot! Everything I purchased was in very very good condition, no holes or marks on anything. Their prices were extremely reasonable. I was able to find high quality brands including Mini Boden, Vineyard Vines, Hanna Andersson, etc with less than $10 price tags. I like the way things are organized as well - size/type/outfits/outwear/and boutique brands together. Couldn't have asked for a better shopping experience. I absolutely love this place. In the past when I've gone into kids resale shops there is a musty odor that you cannot escape. Kid to Kid has no such smell. All the items they take are top notch. I buy and sell here and have never encountered any issues. Selling can be frustrating because they are VERY picky about the clothes they take, but that's okay by me because it means you are getting great stuff to peruse through on the racks! I have a previous children's clothes business and decided to offload our inventory with a new baby coming to make space. Out of 4 large boxes of NEW WITH TAGS clothes Kid to Kid Jacksonville picked out 58 items they would buy. Now they offer 20-30% of value per their employees and website. Retail for the 58 items was $1,256. A simple 20-30% offer would've been $377-251 off. Now let's say they use the term "value" differently. If they were to "value" the clothes at half that cost the offer at 20-30% would've been $189-126 - which is likely what's expected. Now what did they actually offer? $47. Yes $47, not even $1 an item for brand new clothes - many of which were 2pc sets. That's 3.75% of retail. Pictures are attached of their chosen 58 items to offer - which I of course declined. I would steer clear of any Kid to Kid - what they lack in value, they also lack in customer service. read more

My daughter and I love this place, she fell in love at the front door... If you come visit you'll see exactly what I mean. Everything is really clean and orderly and the associates here are uber helpful. Especially if you were a first-time parent or just needed a little help finding a great gift or size. The selection is far better than any similar store I've visited. We literally drive from the northside to come to this location in San Jose. And even better their loyalty program is digital so you don't have to keep up with 1 million of those cards that always seem to get lost LOL read more

Pawn shop of handy downs. Went here with several like new name brand Nike, Owlet, designer brands and literally got offered 2.15$. Save your money just truly donate to good will and get a write off receipt and recoup your costs later and help a family out than to go to this kids pawn shop that will lie to your face and offer you nothing. It has new things too, even though it is a consignment store and you can bring in things to get store credit or cash for your items. As in any consignment, they prefer clean, non-stained, less worn clothing or items that look less worn or used.. they will go through your items and select what they want, I usually make 2 boxes up 1-for things to go to consignment and 1 for goodwill. read more
