This is a quiet thrift store where you can browse and shop at your own pace. I especially like their large selection of furniture, which is one of the reasons I keep coming back. The donation drop-off area is convenient and easy to use since you can pull your car right up to it. One thing to be aware of: donations are not accepted at the front entrance. You'll need to drive around to the designated drop-off area in the back to unload your items. That's probably the only thing first-time visitors should know. Like all great thrift stores, it's hit or miss! What's good here? Cheap furniture--especially in the back lot. What could use a steep discount? Most of the clothing. I have been sifting thru thrift stores in the area this year and after shopping at so many places that seem to believe "vintage" meant "abandoned in a swamp," this place came through! I came in really looking for books (I am surprised how many stores don't have a book section at all). This one has a great variety of books. For all ages! They've got everything from classics to the kind of obscure gems you didn't know you needed. The furniture is pretty good quality! A goldmine of character and charm. Need a quirky chair that looks like it belonged to an eccentric aunt? I saw this orange one that I might need to go back for. It doesn't go with my decor - but it fits my vibe. Some of the dish sets are really nice too! And the clothing is so well organized! I did feel absolutely overwhelmed by racks crammed too full. They aren't very friendly to the people making donations there. You can drive up with stock for them and they'll tell you they don't accept donations that day. Congrats you just wasted your time AND your gas driving there to provide for their revenue. The old ladies at the back are the sourest and most unfriendly cusses I have seen at at a thrift shop. I asked one time if they could price a donation for me and it was "oh the person that does that is gone for the day." Couldn't care less about doing anything for me when I have brought them thousands in donations. I donate at Goodwill on Southside., Never had to endure any negativity or being turned away. read more

Will kick you out before it's closed while you're actively looking at things. At 4:51 they started yelling that they were closing in six minutes. At 4:53 they came and told me that they were locking the doors. It seems I should just take my money elsewhere I was looking at books and very easily could have impulse purchased something in the last few minutes. read more

I enjoy shopping thrift stores, finding treasures at a reduced prices- donated by others who no longer wanted or needed the items. I tend to look for housewares and kids toys. Sometimes kids clothing. This thrift store had a sign out front that they were not accepting donations- that was actually a red flag. John used to run a thrift store, many years ago & he had to work hard to convince the owner to reduce the prices to move merchandise. Why sit on items for 6 weeks to get a higher price when you can move 10 items in the same space for a lower price point and make more money. After all- the items are donated! This store needs that lesson. I found most of the prices too high for what they were. I am thrifty- and there were customers buying items, but I lapped the store and only found a handful of items priced to move and they weren't great items. If you need to stop accepting donations- then you aren't selling what you have at a good price. I'll have to stop in again in a few months to see if there is anything that peaks my interest. Service is the reason this is only 2 stars. THIS VERY DAY I went to pick up a piece of furniture that was previously paid for. We had not purchased furniture from this specific thrift store before, so I asked what their process is to pick it up, such as do I drive around back of the store? The two young ladies at the register could not have been more rude or less helpful. They not only wouldn't explain this store's process for picking up furniture, they insulted me, accused me of lying, were sarcastic and hostile and snide to me TODAY. When I told them every store has their own method, and I need to know theirs - for example, Goodwill you drive around back with a pick up paper and an employee goes to get the item and loads it in your car. I was told that is NOT true, that there are NOT any thrift stores that load furniture into customers' cars. When I said it happens at all the Goodwills one of the girls said to the other snidely, "Did you hear that? She's been to ALL the Goodwills!" About this time, I said, never mind, I'll figure it out myself and walked away from the two of them to the back of the store. You should have heard those girls exclaim to each other in shock, "What is she DOING?!?!?" as they watched the woman (adult) employee from the back load the item on a hand truck and roll it to the front door and out to my car. It was hilarious to see them stunned that someone might actually do their job instead of their invented pickup method that would require a customer to bring their own hand trucks in the store and move it out themselves. Can you imagine the liability if a customer had a problem moving an item and hurt themselves, another customer, or broke something? I told the woman that helped me get the furniture out of the store about it and she apologized for their behavior. Because she apologized, she gets a star that increased the score from only one star to two stars. I'm not one for telling a business they should fire an employee that ticked me off, but those two do not deserve to be paid for their cliche-y behavior when they should have been earning their hourly wage by ringing up customers, offering assistance, cleaning, or maybe-just-maybe finding out what they SHOULD be telling customers who need their furniture loaded instead of inventing their own reality-show-wanabe process where they get to say snide things to customers and each other for hidden cameras. I'm gonna pop some tags only got $20 in my pocket ... I love blazers and LOVE NOT spending hundreds of dollars on them. When I saw that they were only $5 I almost had a heartache. If nothing else I found cute oversized blazers. That I could get cheaply resized. The sore is pretty small but the layout is nice and neat. If you come looking for something specific it's a quick in and out. But wander the aisle a little and you might find something that you didn't even knew you needed. I love to spend my money where I know it helps fund resources for people in need and this shop recycles donated materials items furniture books nick-nacks puzzles floral arrangement material rugs wheelchairs and use the funds generated to assist their Ministries. I can always find a missing piece to one of my China serving sets or some napkins to match tablecloths I've even found four chairs that I refinished to match my dining Nook. I love to help out charities. But unfortunately all the items in this store are way over priced for a THRIFT SHOP. The manager based the items off of what eBay is selling them for. Wait !!! eBay items are clean and come with a guarantee!! I will never go back ! Buyer beware you may think you got a deal but it's not worth it. Absolutely nothing fancy about this store or it's location (a hollowed out shopping center that's holding on for dear life) but it's the principle that makes this place so awesome; everything is very organized, color-coordinated and best of all CLEAN! The moment I walked in, I was like "Ok, this is gonna be great" lol I tripped and fell into a conversation with one of the staff; she was oh-so friendly and more than happy to assist me. In our chat, I sparked her interest in Yelp (she asked how I found out about the place) and was in awe of the fact that a website like this exists! Yay :-) They have a great furniture selection; I fell in love with one of their vintage sofas...big enough for my 6ft frame to stretch out comfortably, clean and plush with no visible wear and tear: $175!!!! Also very convenient how they have the furniture set up so that it'd be easier for you to imagine what it'd look like in your place...definitely not the norm for a thrift store! This is one of those thrift stores you want to call a "thrift shoppe" because it's not your average store full of junk. The other reviews are spot-on; this place is clean, organized, and priced to sell. One cute thing about this store is how the furniture is set up. There are "rooms" so you can visualize the furniture in your space. The pictures, paintings, mirrors, and larger frames are hanging on the wall, so you don't have to flip through a pile on the floor. Most of the tvs are on (they were playing The Little Mermaid when I came) so you can see the picture. The books were all organized by genre, which is a big plus. It's just a nice way to sell your merchandise. Another great thing about this little thrift store is the fun stuff they sell. I found a box full of old photographs (from the 1930s said the date on the back) that were 10 for $1. Most places would've just tossed this, but I think there's bound to be some pinterest-junky somewhere who could do something fun with those prints. I'm really not a fan of this thrift store. I have walked in on several occasions and walked out empty handed. None of the products to me I find appealing. The staff/volunteers are not really welcoming it. The price are just average, but I can get a better deal, higher quality, and items that I would actually buy at other thrift shops and pretty much at the same price point. On the plus side the store is a very large size, and they do have tons of items. But for me I find all the items outdated, not my style and it doesn't really appeal to me. I haven't had a bad experience here, but I haven't had a great one either. I personally wouldn't recommend it, but I would never sway anyone from not checking it out. read more

The prices are right. They don't have a large selection of children's clothes, but it is a decent amount to search through. Things are a tad unorganized but definitely not enough to not shop there. A tiny thrift store right near the beach isn't much to look at on the outside, and they may not have a ton of merchandise, but I'll be back again just for the employees. They are kind, helpful, and some of the best people I have come across. I was able to pick up on that in the few minutes I spoke with them. They noticed my bag from another store was ripping and offered another so I wouldn't struggle carrying everything. The store is organized, clean, and welcoming. It was easy to find what I was looking for as the items are neatly categorized into easily identifiable sections of the store. It doesn't have any musty and dirty smell most thrift store have. The prices are very decent. I bought 2 button down long sleeves for $4 each and 4 paperbacks books ranging from 25 cents to 75 cents each. This was a good setup for a thrift store. When u walk in the store is split and areas are clearly defined. They had the furniture setup like something from Homegoods. I thought it was cute. So, when I go thrifting in Jacksonville, I have several places I go to regularly and while this isn't my favorite thrift store in Jax, it's definitely worth a visit now and then. It's organized for the most part, though there are several departments that could stand to be more organized. When I go I can usually at least find one thing. The prices are just okay. The quality of the furniture here tends to be pretty good in comparison to other thrift stores in the area, if you're looking for those types of things. The people who run the store are volunteers, most don't say a whole lot but they won't hesitate to help if you need it. It's a chain of thrift stores and in general, I like St. Vincent de Paul thrift stores, if you like this one check out the ones in Ormond Beach and St. Augustine as well. read more
