My son has been going here since he was 4 months old, he is 19 months old now. The teachers in the infant room, and now in the 1 year old room, have been fantastic, and I never feel worried about my child's safety or development. He gets great attention and the staff in the entire place knows parent's and children's names, even if your child is not in their class. We have a physical therapist that visits my son at daycare and she has seen many daycares over the years. She told me she can tell that the teachers really care about the kids and that's tough to find. It puts me at ease to know how flexible they are when it comes to food, schedules, and other preferences. I have heard so many scary stories online about daycare and I am so incredibly grateful that I cannot imagine picking my child up to find anything worse than maybe a little cranky mood or a mild diaper rash. We recently moved homes to a place a little further from Kiddie Kampus, but I knew we did not want to move too far so that my son could continue to attend here. read more

I've been brining my baby here since he was 3 months old, he's now a year and 3 months and we love it! He's always happy to be dropped off and happy when being picked up. All the workers are always happy to see him and are all so friendly. Victoria is the owner and she is there most days and she is so friendly and helpful as well! This place has been amazing for us and our 4 year old. They have services for infants and up. Since day one our son has enjoyed this center, much better than our last. They provide food for breakfast and lunch. The hours are perfect for any schedule since they open at 6 and close at 6. Our son loves his daycare teacher, Ms.Lupe, from the beginning she's been very informative, respectful, and caring for our son. They help prepare the children for school by teaching the alphabet, writing skills, cognitive functions, and proper behavior. Best hidden gem in Scottsdale. We are so thankful to have found Kiddie Kampus 8 years ago. Both my boys went to school here, my second boy started when he was four months old! All the ladies have been working here for a long time, which is a great indicator of how this place is run. The environment is warm, safe, and clean, the children are on a great schedule, and gets to play outside as much as possible! Most importantly Victoria the director makes them lunch every day!! (My proudest moment is hearing that my two year old eats salads :) We love Kiddie Kampus and would highly recommend it to any mamas and papas!! We have been with Kiddie Kampus for the past 3.5 years since my youngest was only 3 months old. As a new mom I was so nervous about leaving my babies in the hands of others. I quickly learned there a nothing to fear. Victoria, the owner, and her staff have been absolutely wonderful in taking care of our boys. They are nurturing, attentive and playful. They truly care about our boys and family. They helped teach my kids how to take a bottle and later become potty trained. They have fun classroom parties for holidays (Valentines etc). Breakfast and lunch are included and which makes morning drop offs less hectic. My son has made a lot of new friends in his class. They do adorable craft projects almost every day. Let's be honest - daycare is incredibly expensive and as a parent you have to make sure that the cost is worth what you're getting in return. This place is clean, the ladies are incredibly nice and aside from the random downsides of ANY daycare (HFM, pink eye, sickness spreading like wildfire) you just have to take the good with the not so good. There's no such thing as a perfect daycare just like there's no such thing as a perfect parent. I don't expect anyone to potty train my son just like I don't expect anyone to help him sort through his night terrors or his often needed attitude adjustments. That's our job as a parent, not the daycare facility. I think sometimes we expect too much of our kids and everyone else in our tribe who help raise them. Calvin has made many friends at Kiddie Kampus, loves all the teachers and we have no complaints. For those who have negative things to say (aside from any specific instances I don't know about) I just feel like it's deflecting and does no one any good. In a perfect world, one of us would be watching him every second of every day - but since that's not realistic for most, we hope for the best and Kiddie Kampus has been great for his growth and we see no reason he won't spend the next couple years there preparing for regular school. read more

My daughter came to Kiddie Kampus when she was just 16 weeks old. As a FTM, I was so terribly nervous to leave her in someone else's care while I went back to work. However, for the past two years of attending, she has absolutely loved it! It has such a nice local "neighborhood daycare" feel. My 3 year old only spent about a month at Kiddie Kampus, solely because this Mama needed to truly focus on a work task and I was just so overwhelmed with her being home with me during that time. Like introducing a toddler to any new place, it can be scary for them. Victoria, as well as the entire staff was always so welcoming and nice. The tears at drop off didn't last too long (for 3 year old as well as Mama). There were still good days and bads days (nobody in this household is a morning person). THE CRAFTS! The...crafts that came home were always sooooo cute!!!! I'm definitely lacking in the doing baby girls hair (or my hair for that matter) and all I gotta say is this girl often got picked up with her hair looking SO DANG ADORABLE! There was always open lines of communication and honesty about how she was behaving through the day (I know she's not always a little angel). I'd recommend this place over and over and over again. I can only hope when the time comes again for the need of daycare that Kiddie Kampus has a spot open! read more

I would stay away from this daycare. They do not have any cameras and it is right off a main road. The staff did not seem capable of teaching kids anything. It was more of a babysitter service and I wouldn't trust it for that either. The playground is exceptionally small. read more

UPDATE**DO NOT USE THIS DAYCARE FOR YOUR 2-3 YEAR OLD OR POTTY TRAINING*** 5 Stars for infant and 1's, overall cleanliness, schedule, food, arts and crafts, baby happiness. All of the below aside, I truly love Miss Victoria, Lupe, Olivia, Myra and staff no longer retained there-Patty, Christy, Tia and Alicia. We couldn't have left our son in better hands the first two years of his life. 1 star for 2-3 year olds classroom, loss of half the playground space, and lying staff. We moved up to the 2-3 year old room and our challenges began. There are 27 kids to 2-4 teachers, 4 on a good day, but usually 2-3 teachers. This isn't daycare it's babysitting. They barely have time to change diapers, clean up messes, and seem to be overwhelmed. We took a week off to potty train our child. He literally has had 4 accidents at home in 5 weeks, but at daycare he has 2-3 per day. The toilet didn't have a smaller lid for the kids to sit on until we bought one for them. Kiddie Kampus owners Miss Victoria and Chris agreed to try it after a month of our child pooping on himself. They also DO NOT have a step stool so kids can't get up on the toilet without help. They claimed a stool was a health code hazard or violation. I called the health department, this is untrue, it just has to be sanitized every 24 hours. Still no go on the stool. Sadly, they don't really want to potty train anyone, they want them all in pull-ups because kids are afraid of their toilets. AND they don't have time since they have too many kids. My husband and I were at our wits end with the attitude from the staff. "This is hard mom. This is tough mom, he had a good day, but.... we had lots of accidents today." NEWSFLASH-parenting is hard, being a caretaker of that many children, I would think, is even harder, why are you in this job again? Do you actually care? I was told my son didn't interact with the teachers. He is extremely interactive, therefore, that told me he did not like them. They dread changing his soiled clothes, and we know that our son can tell they give off an underlying vibe of disdain. Our son has actually had accidents right outside the bathroom door, I'm not sure how much more of a sign he could give. IT GETS WORSE! Last week my husband picked up our son and he was wet, like really peed everywhere wet. We thought, ok this could have just happened, but again why is this constantly being missed? This week my husband comes in and before he gets to see our son, 2 children tell him that "_____(our son) peed his pants". Our child is right by a teacher in wet pants. Their excuse? We ran out of clothes. As parents in potty training, we bring in clothes every day. If we were low, usually we are told. ALSO, WHY NOT CALL US?!?!?! A phone call, we can come get him, bring more clothes, put him in a diaper for 15 minutes while we drive over, WHAT THE ACTUAL HECK IS WRONG WITH THIS MENTALITY?!?!? EVERYTHING. When I spoke to Miss Victoria on the matter the next day, the staff had told her our son had gone home dry the night before. Why make it a point to tell your boss this if you don't normally? Because you're lying and know you did something wrong when it comes to childcare. She apologized, but what is most concerning is the staff is lying to their boss to protect their job and our son is suffering because of it. What else don't we know? Final straw. From my husband: One of the instructors in the 2-3 year old room is also a nanny for one of the kids in the room, kid she nanny's for still does not like to potty there, and a lot of kids don't feel comfortable using the toilet . We were told by the same instructor last week that a lot of the kids in the 2-3 year old room are in pull-ups, doubled up with underwear, underwear over pull-ups and all kinds of crazy stuff. The fact that this is encouraged is slowing the progress of these kids. If you're a working family like us, our kid is spending majority of his weekday at Daycare. The fact that we were told that our kid doesn't always tell them he has to potty is laughable. We're paying $1000 a month in child care, not babysitting. One day, we walked in and had to break up other kids pushing and shoving each other. They're overwhelmed. It's sad. You don't know what your kid did all day, they bring home arts and craft which our son loves, but you have no idea what else. Finally, we contracted HMFD, and the only reason we found out that it was even going around is because we called one of our sons parents who is friends with to let them know, and they told us that their son had it the week before. There were no signs, no notices, no advisory to parents that this was going around in the 2-3 year old room. When we called to let them know that our son would be out all week due to HMFD, we mentioned it would have been nice to know. Only then did the owner say they will now put up a sign for other parents. Now HMFD has spread into the infant room. read more

I traveled to Scottsdale for work and had to bring my 1 year old son with me. I am so happy I found Kiddie Kampus. They happened to have enough space to allow for two days of drop-in care. I was of course a little nervous about leaving my baby in a new place with new people that I had never met or seen in person prior. From the moment I called Kiddie Kampus to inquire I felt like everyone I spoke to was genuine and friendly. Once I saw the facility and met with the staff I knew I had made the right decision. The location was very clean, and the teachers/caretakers were incredibly caring. My son had the most wonderful time during his brief stay. I wish Kiddie Kampus was in our home town. I went back to work several months ago when my daughter was 10 months old. After searching 5 different local daycares, I decided on Kiddie Kampus. The babies and toddlers there are almost always relaxed and happy. The environment is very clean, and has modern play areas. They dim the lights throughout the daycare during their quiet / nap hours from 11a to 2p. Best of all, the staff is very friendly and genuinely cares for my child. The daycare is smaller and less corporate feeling than some of the child care chains, and the fees are very reasonable. We love Kiddie Kampus! Our daughter has been going here since she was six months and we have felt comfortable from the start leaving her here. The infant teachers are so wonderful and even helped us do baby led weaning with our daughter although they hadn't heard of it before. They also helped with weaning her off the bottle and on to sippy cups. She is now in the one year old room and the teachers there are awesome too! We were so apprehensive about placing our son in daycare, but decided that he needed more social interaction and structure. He had been babysat by my mother for the first two years of his life but that was getting a little exhausting for her so we began researching daycare facilities. Kiddie Kampus has been in the neighborhood for as long as I can remember (I grew up just blocks away and still live in the area) so we went for a tour. Miss Lupe was so friendly and inviting and answered all of our questions. The facility was clean and well-maintained and the kids all looked happy and cared for. We enrolled him just one week after his second birthday and it has now been almost one year. We love Kiddie Kampus! He has made so many friends and tells us about his day every time we pick him up, proudly showing off his art projects. When he has had a rough day with his behavior, the staff always lets us know and explains how they administer discipline like "quiet time" for time outs and by talking to him about what occurred. They also always let us know when he has sustained an injury, even when it is as minor as bumping his head on the playground. We are still working on potty training with him but it seems he started taking way more interest in using the potty since being at Kiddie Kampus and I think that is because he is observing the older kids doing it and wants to be like them! Miss Victoria is awesome and makes great food for the kids. All of the teachers seem to know all the kids personally and know the parents too (I would never be able to keep track!). The price is very reasonable compared to many other facilities in the area. We are looking forward to this next year with them and would highly recommend them! read more

Very caring staff, and always happy to see my little girl when we get there. The owner truly listens and answers any questions or concerns a parent may have. It's never easy leaving your child with someone who's not family, but my daughter absolutely loves her teachers who are loving and patient. Our daughter attended Kiddie Kampus from age one to almost four years old, which was the end of May, 2019. We always felt that she was well cared for. She would bring home art projects, tell us about her day, and talk about her teachers and friends. She never had an issue using the bathroom at school once she had been toilet-trained at home, and the toilets were low enough to the floor for her to easily access them. During our time there, notices were always posted about upcoming closures for holidays, needs for updated records, and possible exposure to contagious illnesses. (I personally saw a notice posted about the HFM incident during the last week we were there.) As a first-time mom with post-partum anxiety and a special education teacher, I spent A LOT of time looking into day care facilities in the area. I felt comfortable entrusting my child to the staff at Kiddie Kampus. Our daughter would be attending in the fall next year had we not opted to place her in public school pre-k in Scottsdale. read more

My daughter is just about to turn 6 months old and I was very nervous to put her in daycare. However I had to return to work when she was 6 weeks old and Kiddie Kampus is down the street from my home & job and they are also very affordable. My baby LOVES going to "school" every day! She gets so happy and excited when I drop her off and the girls in the newborn room have been wonderful with her. They have listened and accommodated any special requests I have made regarding my baby's care. My daughter started going here when she was 8 weeks. She's been going for 6 weeks so far, and I wouldn't switch locations probably even if I moved. She was getting over a yeast diaper rash when I started her here and they were very accommodating with checking her diaper every hour, and applying her medicine so she no longer has the rash. The team at Kiddie Kampus has been amazing with my 2 kids. I had stayed home with them until they were 2 1/2 and 3 3/4, and so I was worried about how the transition would be when I returned to work. While it was obviously a big change for them, the KK team made me feel comfortable, and more importantly, made my kids feel comfortable. Now, my son who is 2 1/2 is really becoming so much more social and runs into school. I get to take home adorable art projects each evening, which I can post in my office at work to feel closer to them. Honestly, I have been extremely pleased with our experience thus far. My daughter has just transitioned into a performing arts school, and it was exceedingly bittersweet for me. She is really excited because she is already obsessed with dance and art, but we all really value the relationships developed at Kiddie Kampus and their nurturing environment. We searched long and hard for a daycare facility that checked all the boxes. The other area care facilities had very high staff turnover, off site management, and some were simply disorganized and others very dirty. Kiddie Kampus is an excellent place. The owners are wonderful, on site daily, involved in day to day operation , and maintain a very clean and safe environment. The staff love these kids and truly love their jobs. I believe the average tenure of the staff is 10 years. They are always willing to accommodate our needs and address our areas of our concern when our kids went through the phases (such as being picky food eaters). This team works so hard and have big hearts. Our kids love going to school and this group has become family. We just graduated forward but had 2 kids at kiddie Kampus for almost 5 years.
