Our children have had the best head start thanks to the amazing teachers at this Kindercare location. We've shared so many special milestone and learning moments here, and I'll carry these teachers in my heart forever. The kids still light up, hug, and praise their teachers from the younger-year classes, they truly feel like family. When our kids have gone through tough moments, the Director and teachers have met them with patience, understanding, and thoughtful strategies. They work hand-in-hand with us so the redirection and support at home match what's happening in the classroom, which makes such a difference. It's a place where we know our kids are safe, loved, and learning every single day, and we couldn't be more grateful. Shout out to these front line workers! First of all proud single mom here of 3, two of my children attend daycare here. This facility was a first for me and my children, I cannot being to tell you the fear of letting my children be cared for by others except myself or family but I had to work. These woman are amazing! CONSTANTLY reassured me as much as I needed, always took the time to answer the phone or send more pictures if my son was having a hard time saying good bye to me in the morning. They have such a experienced and caring staff I trust them over my own family lol!! This place has put me at ease and that is just the most important feeling in the world to me, to make sure my kids are being properly cared for and loved when not with me. I can't begin to explain my gratitude to Downtown Kindercare I highly recommend Downtown kindercare if your looking for a loving, compassionate, nurturing and educated staff!!! These woman are heroes in my eyes ALSO, through the wonderful Kindercare app I am able to get photos of my children and their daily activities! Expect this without apology... my son has been bitten three times in three days. Don't expect administration to care or do anything about it. Let me say this though - the teachers are lovely and have been very responsive. My issue is with the handling of situations like this. The teachers' hands are somewhat tied by an ineffective management. I have complained before and, as a result, I'm spoken about (quite openly) as a "difficult parent". I have held off writing a review of this facility for some time but I've reached my point of "ok, people need to know". When we first brought my son there the place was great and most of the staff was amazing. My son loved Ms D. He had gone there when he was an infant and then back there from about year and a half to 3. When he transitioned into the 3year old he stated he did not want to go and saying that he didn't like the teacher ms Tina and that Tina didn't like him. We did want him to give it a try as it was a new room etc. our mistake. He was always sun burned though we had given them sun screen and they swore they put it on him every day. I would sometimes come by about 4:40 in the afternoon (even in the middle of the summer)and they would be outside drinking water and having a snack, still very hot. Anyway my wife got concerned about what was going on and wanted to move him into another class like he had before. No luck that was going to stay his class. One morning my wife dropped him off and watched through the fence as the class was rolled or passed the ball by the teacher. My son wasn't not engaged with and was ignored. My wife gave it 10 minutes then drove back and looked again, same thing. Then left again for another 10 only to find he was still ignored. She had enough of this and took my son out of that environment that instance. No one asked why she was taking him away even though we had never done that and we were "like a family" environment. They called a few days later and asked what happened. They said that they wanted me to pay the additional 2 weeks since I didn't give any notice. If someone is not treating your child like they use to, do you still pay them? It is important to know with this company that if you are unhappy with how they treat your child in anyway that they want you to give them 2 weeks notice that you are leaving so they can make that little extra. Like a gym that charges you fees to cancel a membership.... If I had taken him out of here before he turned 3 it would have been a glowing review as they know very well that when people were checking out the school I would always take a few minutes to tell them my son's and my experiences. Unfortunately with the experience of the 3yr classroom, I am unable to leave such a glowing review. Update. I called the corporate office that posted a response to this review. While it was an ok attempt to find out more info to resolve the issues, the manager didn't call back so I'm guessing that was a bust. The person i spoke to on the phone also knew nothing about the review so that wasn't helpful. Next time if you want to truly work on resolutions then put your extension or something so we can reach you. Oh well. Figures. read more

As a first time mom, trying to find the right daycare is very stressful! I was so pleasantly surprised at how quickly I was able to feel comfortable sending my daughter here. There is an app which the teachers log all the diaper changes, naps, bottles, and picture/video updates throughout the day. My daughter is smiling, laughing, and cooing all the way to and from daycare. The teachers are warm and attentive and I haven't witnessed any screaming babies! My husband and I didn't start touring daycares until the end of my maternity leave. Like a couple of dopes. We were totally clueless, really didn't know what we were looking for, or what questions we should have been asking. We should have researched more and started looking earlier, but I think we were in denial that we would have to leave our son in the hands of strangers. With every facility we looked at in Central Phoenix, we got more and more discouraged about our options... until we came to the Downtown KinderCare. From our first visit, it was clear that we found everything we didn't know we needed: 1) A warm, welcoming environment that is always clean but never smells like cleaning products; 2) A beautifully decorated infant room filled with engaging toys, soft, natural lighting and pleasant music; 3) Safety and sanitation practices that are strictly followed by all teachers and fellow parents; 4) Personalized learning and development plans for each child, with daily communication about how my son is progressing; 5) Kind and highly-qualified leadership, who are not only receptive to suggestions for improvement but actively seek it out, and somehow know every child and parent by name! Seriously Lori & D, you are amazing! 6) Finally, and most critically... wonderful, wonderful teachers. I have complete confidence in all these awesome ladies who consistently demonstrate patience and professionalism, and who genuinely care about each child under their care. I absolutely love Downtown KinderCare! By the time my baby was 1 1/2, I had already tried another nationwide childcare center, one-on-one home care, and a small-group home daycare. None of them offered what I was looking for: the perfect combination of personal love & attention, interaction with other children, nutritious meals, a safe environment, accountability and structure, and a curriculum that is both fun and educational. She is now almost 3 years old; what has kept us here? It's the personalized "Good Mornings" every day, it's the fun themed days (Pajama Day, Sports Day, Superhero Day) and full participation by all teachers, it's the amazing crafts I get to bring home each day, it's the loving and caring staff- EVERYONE knows each child by name, it's the encouraged open communication and engagement with the Directors, it's the potty training my baby received, it's the family feel with the corporate perks (online payments, convenient and dependable hours, vetted teachers, facility accreditation), it's the smile on her face, and most importantly, it's the growth and transformation I've seen in my baby. My friends (and pediatrician) are amazed at how advanced she is, seriously. My daughter has been going to Downtown KinderCare for about a year and a half. All of the teachers have their own style of teaching and playing with the kids and I absolutely love that. Ms Teri has been really amazing since taking over the director position. Ms Dee works her behind off and is just wonderful as well. We are terribly sad to see Ms Yessenia leave, but are ecstatic for her new journey. Everyone here is caring, informative and I can really see my child's growth evolve. In such uncertain and stressful times, I can't express how thankful I am for this Kindercare. I have sent both my children to this location over several years and have gotten the chance to experience almost every room. I feel so secure sending my kids there knowing that Shanta and Miss Antoinette are keeping the place clean and safe, and knowing the teachers (Miss Vicky, Miss Chelsea, Miss Meisha, Miss D, Miss Valerie, Miss Bri, Miss Tammy... all of you!) are so loving and fun with my children. After covid started we took a little break from school, but after restarting I have seen such an explosion in learning from my eldest in Miss Meisha's room - he is really blossoming under her teaching. I also cannot say enough about Miss Vicky in the baby room, she is a baby whisperer. Miss Shanta and Miss Antoinette are very busy keeping the admin side running smoothly (a great undertaking with covid in force), but are also always there with personal interaction with me and my children, showing they are not only keeping the business in tip top shape but also providing a caring environment for all the children there and getting to know them all themselves. And I get daily updates with pictures and videos of both my kids, which is so wonderful to be able to check in on them throughout the day. I have sent messages through the app and I get almost instant replies, which is another positive function of this location - I am always impressed with their communication (they are proactive in their reporting and are also very on top of even the smallest incidents). I know that it must be very difficult for new parents to send their children to a place they can't go inside right now (because of covid), but I want to help calm any fears; it is sparkling clean, very safe, and so loving. The teachers have so much fun with them and keep a close eye on all of the interactions between the children and are very good at communicating about each child's individual day and overall experience. Miss Shanta has this place running like a dream and I am so happy with our childcare because of her. These teachers are on the front-line and are doing so much for our kids/families at their own risk. I can't say enough about the entire staff!! read more

I was that mom that was horrified of the idea of daycare. I couldn't imagine somebody else watching my baby! After a year when my daughter turned one I visited tons of daycares in the area. Choosing Kindercare was a no-brainer! From the wonderful staff, amazing curriculum, and clean facility it was the perfect fit! My daughter is almost 3 years old now and I couldn't be happier with Kindercare! She is such a social butterfly, who enjoys going to class everyday. I love that she has something new to tell me everyday, from a new song, something that happened outside, a new food she tried, knowing she's happy makes me one happy mom. The staff is AMAZING they are truly engaged with my child, and I love how much she has learned! She talks so well for her age and knows more then I ever expected, I know Kindercare was a perfect choice. The staff and facility are great! My son is in the infant class and he is always happy and content. All the teachers genuinly care for my son and treats him the way I would at home. They are very clean, follow our feeding schedule, change diapers frequently, play and sing with all the babies, and are very attentive to all babies equally. The only thing that is a bummer is that they don't provide soy formula (only milk-based formula). It would've been a nice savings for us since formula/solids are included with the monthly tuition. It's okay... I'm still very satisfied and am happy I found a place that works for our family. Also, the office staff is awesome! They are so friendly and make us feel so welcomed everytime we come in! I highly recommend Downtown KinderCare! read more

By far the best!!! I moved my kids from a prior daycare I was unhappy until I moved them here!! My kids have improved academically and emotionally since they have been here the staff is great the teachers show my kids so much love I couldn't be happier. My daughter has been going to Downtown KinderCare since she was 8 weeks old. I can't explain how lucky I am to have a staff full of happy, caring people to watch my precious girl while I'm at work. They have a good facility with plenty of toys and activities to keep the children entertained. What I love most about Downtown KinderCare is the culture and positivity the employees emit on a daily basis. Every time I walk in the door we get a "Good Morning!" and a smile. Even the teachers regularly in the older age group classrooms know my infant daughter by name. Bottom line - they care here, a lot. They provide love and safety to my child when I can't be there. My daughter has gone to this Kindercare location from age of 8 weeks old until almost 2 years old. They take excellent care of the children, I've never had to worry. The format is similar to a school setting which I appreciate, they do art and sensory activities and my daughter has learned a lot. She has also developed excellent social skills and they even have a playground so the kids can play outside when the weather is nice. Place is phenomenal! Stellar place to bring my children...I always prepay and never experience any problems. Not sure why Natalis had such a bad experience...must have been having a bad day/week? My daughter has been going to Downtown KinderCare for a year and a half now. She started just after turning 2 years old, and I could not be happier with the facility, the teachers, and the director. My daughter loves this place. We call it her school, and she really does learn a great deal here. Every day she comes home and tells me something new that she learned and she shows off her latest art project. The teachers genuinely care for the kids, and they do an amazing job at making sure the kids have fun while also instilling manners and good hygiene (my daughter still sings the "wash your hands" song that she learned when she was 2). I love knowing that my daughter is safe, is cared for, and is making friends. I also love getting crock-pot meals every Thursday because there is a special program that gets the kids actively involved in cooking. I get notes every day about what she ate, how she slept, and what she liked the most about their daily curriculum. They have splash days in the summer, semi-annual professional photos done, and even some evening offerings around the holidays so that parents can go shopping or go on a date while the kids stay at school and watch movies and eat pizza. But by far my favorite thing about this school is that they potty-trained my daughter. This was a real game changer in our house. I could go on and on, like how her vocabulary and social skills have skyrocketed, but I'll just end this by saying we love Downtown KinderCare!!! read more
