It was terrifying to leave such a tiny baby with complete strangers. As the weeks and months passed, I saw that my daughter was not only in "good hands"...but she was truly loved and cared for in a way that I am so thankful for. Four years later, our 2nd daughter joined the school at 12 weeks and we had the same amazing experience. We have been at The Goddard School for a full 8 and a half years up until the girls have both now started their journeys in Elementary School. I cant describe the kind of appreciation that I have for all the staff and owners of The Goddard School for not only taking care of my daughters, but loving them and starting them with an impeccable early childhood education. I would, and do constantly, recommend The Goddard School to anyone who desires to leave their children with individuals who care, love and will teach their children so many fundamental lessons so early in life!

My biggest criticism is the lack of structure and teaching. I ask my 4 year old daughter each day what she learned at "school". Last week she told me her teacher showed her how to put in and remove earrings. Really?!? Is that what we are teaching our children nowadays?!? Maybe my expectations are too high. At their previous daycare they had a curriculum that was followed daily. That doesn't mean they didn't get to play. They had 2 set times to go outside weather permitting of course. I also have a 6 month old. He seems to always be in a bouncer. When I asked about him playing on the floor I was informed that due to there being "walkers" in the room he couldn't play on the floor unless they were sleeping or out that day. Also it seems that each day I pick him up he is with someone different. The girl today didn't even know his name!! I'm a frustrated parent looking for a structured daycare.

I have had both of my children attend Garden Path School, each beginning at around 2 years old. One…read morecurrently attends, and the other has "graduated" to kindergarten. I could not have asked for a better experience for our family. Angela is incredibly gifted at meeting each child's specific needs, and working with the child as well as the family to ensure that the children are in a safe and enriching environment. My children have flourished academically, socially and emotionally. The curriculum is creative and flexible, with a good leaning towards STEM and problem solving. One of the things that I love most about GP is that children of all ages are in the same classroom, creating an intricate social structure. There is also strong communication with parents and many opportunities to connect with other families. I can't say enough how much I love Garden Path School and what a blessing it has been for our family!

I was looking to give my daughter a great start in her development and could not be happier with Angela's school. It's a very personal and hands on teaching style that my daughter loves. I actually have a hard time getting her to go home some days because she is having so much fun with her friends. My wife and I both work, and it's hard to leave my child's upbringing partially in the hands of other folks. It was really important to me to find a school where my daughter would be learning, but also feel loved by the teaching staff. I personally think Garden Path is the best pre-k school you will find, probably in the entire state of Illinois. I love that's it's also home based so my daughter feels like she is in a safe and comfortable environment every day. Many of the big volume day cares near me are trying techniques to make the building look like a home inside with cabinets and furniture, but those still feel like a school. Garden Path is an actual home, that hides a pretty awesome school inside! My personal fave: They use tadpoles software everyday and I get to see videos and pictures of what the kids are learning and what field trips they may have gone on! My daughter loves it there and it's the next best thing to being able to have my wife or I stay home and raise her during the critical early years. Thanks Angela!

My kids have had no trouble adjusting to transitioning to school because of the structure provided at Tracys and they adore the summer camp programs. Switching to Tracys was the best decision we have made for our family.

The staff is wonderful and keeps me informed of everything. They work with him on his homework, too, which helps with my busy schedule as a business owner. Tracy has been a blessing over the years by building a lasting trust which you cannot find in many businesses. My child loves going and looks forward to their summer camp program every year. If your kid sneezes once she will call you to come get them. They're kids, there's gonna be a sneeze and snot here and there. No one is trying to send their kid to school if they're actually sick. 2) leader emailed the parents BLAMING them for causing some of the teachers for getting Covid. Like it was Covid, everyone was getting it, and you act like the teachers don't interact with a single person outside of school? And 3) we went an entire month of school being cancelled bc of Knox county closures for sickness, then the school itself had sickness. Then there was no consideration for a prorated fee that month. Not even asking for a free month just a little something back since literally NO SERVICES were provided. 4) You pay for a key fob for the year to "access the school," but are discouraged from ever coming in to the school and instead just let them bring kids in and out every day. Fine whatever, but then they don't give you a refund at end for returning the fob and will charge you to replace if lost. I want to reiterate the individual teachers are great. The leader/boss and the school policies are out of touch with reality, condescending, and irrational.

My two youngest children attended this wonderful place, and the only thing I can say - THANK YOU! Total, we had 3 years long experience with this school, and during all this time, our children never got virus/bacteria from school. Yes, most of the times, they will not let you bring in a child who coughs or has runny nose, but you can feel safe - only healthy children will be around your child there. It is important if in your family, you have seniors or more children that you care about. Also, in cold weather, they will not let children go outside without appropriate clothes on. They preserve child's health. Daily, children spend 5 hours in school, and every hour is full of learning opportunities, fun, and creative activities. The number and the quality of crafts that children bring home every day is very impressive! Teachers are absolutely incredible, especially, Mrs. Lindsay (3 years old group). They really love children, and they truly care about children! Parents and children love this place! We have a big experience with different preschools, but this one is definitely exceptional!
