Used them a few times since 2023 to present. Picked up grand girls and oldest (6) was crying. Staff said she was sad because they were getting ready to eat a treat/snacks and she was going to miss it. Later, my granddaughter told me she was in the big bathroom waiting for other kids to finish when a fat African American women (Staff) punched her in the stomach with her fist and told her not to tell or she would hit her more. My grand daughter walked out crying when I picked her up as it had just happened. My other granddaughter witnessed it and confirmed. They also said the same staff hit a white girl on the arm. I love to bring my daughter here whenever my husband and I go on a date night. She's been coming ever since she was around three years old. She always has so much fun doing crafts. They also feed her dinner and do movie nights. The ladies working there are so caring and sweet. read more

What an excellent idea to have, literally, Kids by the Hour!!! Not too many places like this was available when I worked different shifts at the police department and my son and daughter were young. However, now a days it's just not first responders and military workers who need a child care facility with "odd" hours. I have a friend who works in the Fraud Department of her bank and sometimes she gets off at 2am!! So places like this are needed and appreciated!! I drop of my granddaughter here for some "me" time and so she can know what it's like to play with other children her age and not a big child like me! ‍ The registration was very easy especially since my granddaughter is an out of town guest per se, staying just a month. The do have by the hour prices which are higher than weekly rates. All meals are included and they do provide you with a menu schedule. Each time I have been, there were plenty of staff on hand and they were truly patient and caring with the children. Don't know how they handle unruly children so I cannot comment. I just know I like this place because of the hours, the fact that I must be buzzed into the facility, the staff is professional, and the place is clean oh and they have an outside play ground area. I guess I did not give them 5 stars because I was somewhat used to Kindercare who at the end of the day, they had a piece of paper that organized what and how much my child ate, what time did she lay done for her nap and what they went over in class, like, going over solar system, or animals today, etc. I would like to know what she did since when I ask her she just says "no", "yes", "why". Been using them for years as a drop in daycare and never had any issues. The ONE time I had a simple issue, it was dismissed, I was disrespected, and made to feel that my feelings about MY CHILD did not matter. According to the manager, Holly Brown, "her ladies" would never do anything inappropriate and she would not "incriminate" anyone by giving a simple apology. In fact, the situation was turned around on me and I was mom shamed for "speaking harshly" to my own daughter. Then when my husband got a hold of the owner, Randy Larch, he said just because we pay him doesn't mean he has to coddle us. No, you should not have to coddle anyone but you certainly should address their concerns and respect them when it comes to someone's child. I will never go back or trust my children at this facility due to this horribly untrusting experience I had with Holly Brown and Randy Larch. read more

It literally takes an act of god to get me to post on social media and today was it... To make a long story somewhat short, my wife and I use kids by the hour on beach and Hodges when we are in need of a sitter for a few hours. We have used them for years without any issues. Until last week... My wife went in to pick up our kids and while on the playground, my 3yo daughter wanted to go down the slide. There was another kid trying to walk up the slide at the same time. While my wife tried to gather our son, a daycare worker came and snatched our 3yo off of the slide and told her to "go" rather than removing the 1yo walking UP THE SLIDE (which seems like the opposite of what should have been done, to me :/). To clarify, it was not some crazy snatching of my kid but was enough for my wife to raise an eyebrow and to make my 3yo cry. My wife said it was as if maybe the worker just wasnt having a good day and was impatient to the situation and my kid. It was more so concerning because she did it in front of my wife so we wondered how would that same situation have gone if a parent wasnt there. Fast forward to today, we have made several attempts to get some type of response from management to at most, assure us that the worker was talked to and made aware that a parent was somewhat uncomfortable with how the situation was handled. You can imagine we were shocked when we were told that they do not believe my wife or what she said. Me, being a concerned husband and father, attempted to make sense of the conversation that took place between my wife and holly by calling and speaking with holly directly. When speaking to holly, my concerns were immediately shut down and I got the same condescending responses that my wife received.. I explained to her that all we were looking for was assurance that the situation was looked into. She responded with questions like " if this was more of a informative complaint, why are you making such a big deal about it?" and remarks such as "I would apologize and say it was looked into but I just dont want to incriminate my worker..." I tried to explain to holly that as a manager that cares for my kids, you cant just completely dismiss my concerns and expect me to continue to bring my kids. I asked for a refund of the relatively large deposit we had just recently made and she refused. I asked for the next person in the chain of command and she again, refused. It took for my wife to do her detective work to find out the names, phone numbers, and address of the owners. Nievely thinking, I reach out to the owner of kids by the hour belueving we would receive some type of reassurance that the issue would be resolved but was again, let down! The owner was the worst one by far! He proceeded to tell me that the issue isnt his establishment but rather parents who think they can come into their establishment and act like they are all that matter. He then proceeded to make comments such as "quite frankly, your kids are out of control and you should be concerned with how your wife speaks to/ is raising them" and "so what, you think because you pay me, I'm now required to cater to your feelings?" To make a long story short, he unloaded on me with insults about me, my kids, and wife, and proceeded to justify their treatment of my wife and kids by mom shaming my wife to me and talking shit about my 1yo and 3yo. He eventually asked me what is it I want him to do about it and he agreed to at least give us the refund of the deposit we recently made. However, I'm sure after reading the negative reviews my wife and I left, we will never see that money again. I called back and asked to see the actual camera footage of the incident that took place last week only to find out that the cameras there dont actually work! If you are currently using this establishment, think twice about it. They will not investigate your concerns and will go a step further and blame you if you continue to seek any kind of resolution. I really like this place for my daughter. The staff is amazing and always smiling. They always give me a full report on my toddler and her improvement. You can tell that they work together and share the same work ethic. I like there security of checking in and out children. They have a lock door and you must ring to enter. Staff understands the development of the diffrent ages , therfore, there recomendations always make sence. I really like that they have a spanish speaking staff member. It helps with my daughter understanding ( as she understands more spanish) but at the same time she is transitioning to english. My toddler loves going there. She recognizes the shopping center so every time that she sees it she gets happy. Love this place, as a caring parent i recomend this place because they have a philosophy that works and makes sence to my toddler. My daughter has not been at this daycare a month yet and she absolutely loves it . I had a crisis with childcare and they were able to take her in the same day . The place was clean and the teacher to children ratio was proportionate. My daughter's teacher was so sweet and kind that my daughter took a liking to her the moment she laid eyes on her . The daycare has many packages you can choose from for payments . I chose the weekly pass which was 220 a week for a 1 year old . The daycare is also open on weekends from 7-midnight so it's a great choice for date nights . Hourly care runs around $9. read more

We use this childcare and love it. My wife only works 2 days a week and our toddler goes here when needed. If we want to have a night out this place is great and is open late. read more

My son is excited every time he gets to go to kbth. We have had problems getting him to want to go or stay anywhere in the past. I am so very thankful to not have a screaming child on the ride and the anxiety about how his day is going to be. I rate this place 5 stars because of how happy he is to go and how incredibly nice the staff is. read more

We dropped off our 4- and 8-yr-old boys there last Saturday night. It was $9/hour each. In the three hours they were there they watched two movies and played. Both said they had fun and wanted to go back. I admit I was surprised; during the movies they apparently are not allowed to get up. I understand that from an administrative perspective but thought it would bore my boys. Apparently it did not. On the down side, both boys came home with a tummy ache and one threw up in the middle of the night. Honestly I'm not sure if it was the tons of pickles they ate before they went there or the tons of cheese puff balls they were given at Kids By the Hour. I do wish places would give kids healthier snacks. Overall I was not terribly impressed because I thought they should have had more activities but my 4-yr-old asked to go back first thing this morning so I gave 4 stars. I was very disappointed when I picked my son up from Kids by the hour last night. When I walked in the lady inside the children's room was too busy taking on her phone to help me get my child to leave. Then I noticed that the children were sleeping on plastic mattresses with no sheets! Wow! When I asked her about it she seemed as if she didn't have a care in the world. Lastly the most disturbing thing was when I picked my child up his diaper was so soiled, so I checked his bag to see how many times they had changed him.....he was changed one time and he was there for 5 hours!! I know this because I count how many diapers are in his bag before dropping him off, and there was only one missing! What a disgrace. My son will not be attending this place again. read more

Kids by the Hour has been the perfect place to take our daughter. My work schedule varies so full or part time daycare would have been a huge waste of money. I was nervous at first that since it is not full time daycare my daughter would not get as much attention but it has really been great. Everyone there is so patient and caring with her and helped her transition to getting used to a new place. She has really grown to love her teachers and has a great time there. The flexible schedule is the just what we need and I would recommend Kids by the Hours to anyone! read more

I will never bring my child back to this facility EVER again. My 1 year old baby went to this location for almost 2 months for evening care due to my schedule changing at work. 3x in the 2 months she was there we had issues with them not changing her diaper often enough, on this last time they left a diaper on my baby for 6 hrs! I put a diaper on her at 4pm and dropped her off to kbth around 4:45pm and i picked her up around 9:50 pm, rushed out the door and went home, when we got home and got her clothes off her i noticed that her diaper looked like she had gone swimming! It was so ridiculously full and had irritated her skin. I checked her bag to see if they had sent a baby gram home to see how often they changed her that day which they had not, i also checked to see how many diapers were in her bag since i send 10 diapers in her bag every day. we still had 10 diapers in her bag... When i made them aware of this they tried to LIE and say that the teacher used another child's diaper which coincidentally happens to be the same brand and size as the one that was on my child (not buying it) and that the day teacher changed her at 7:45pm. Even if that BS was true they are not supposed to use other childrens belongings for my child AND they could only account for 1 diaper change between 4:45pm-9:50pm which is still a problem. I do not recommend that anyone send their child to this facility. They are a joke! I would give them -10 stars if i could! read more
