My review and experience is based on the infant room only. I had multiple bad experiences in the infant room with two of the caregivers in particular. I gave instructions on how to feed my 4 month old baby at that time that was not followed. Also on one occasion my baby had a blow out and her soiled clothes was placed in her bottle cooler without being placed in a separate plastic bag. I still gave the daycare a chance because I realize no daycare is perfect. The last straw is when I was picking up my baby and she was isolated from the other infants and caregivers on the opposite side of the room. I was extremely upset. I asked the caregivers how come she was isolated and I was told because her bouncer was there, which makes no sense considering the bouncer was not nailed to the ground. I spoke to the owner the next morning and she appeared to be very attentive and receptive to my concerns. The caregivers had already spoke to her prior to the next morning, which is most likely because they knew I was going to report them. They told the owner the reason my daughter was in the corner away from everyone is because they didn't want the other babies (that are the same age as her) to hurt her and I get mad. This was absurd because I never said anything about my baby being hurt by other babies in the "infant" room. This was very unacceptable and was a form of child neglect. The supervisor said she would talk to the caregivers. That same week there was no change in their behavior, they never spoke when I picked up my baby, they would just hand me my baby and say nothing for the most. They wouldn't verbally tell me how my daughters day was even after the discussion I had with the owner. Never once did the owner try to rectify the situation by giving me a update or a corrective action plan, which let me know she didn't really care as well. I sent the owner a email explaining why I was removing my daughter from the daycare and I never received a response.I removed my baby from Happy Times within a week of this occurrence. My baby now goes to Principrin and she is so loved and taken care of, and I don't have worry in the world when I drop her off. This was my experience with Happy Times Academy, it was a horrible experience. No parent wants to feel an uneasy feeling when they trust caregivers to care for their children. And I realize that perhaps every caregiver may not care personally for a parent but a professional demeanor should always be maintained, especially when taking care of children.

However, after there was a change in ownership, HTA has improved so much! From the remodeling of the rooms and cleanliness to the live updates on the app and improved monthly newsletters. I love all of the improvements that have been made. Before the new management, I did not like the unpleasant smell that the daycare sometimes had. Now, the daycare always smells and feels very clean. Although I never had a problem with the previous owner/management, I can see that the new management is more caring about the children and about parents concerns. The teachers have all been awesome. My daughter is happy to go to daycare everyday and that gives me a sense of security and tranquility. She is 20 months now and she has been knowing most children lullabies/songs, how to count to 6 in Spanish and English (she gets a little mixed up from 6-10), can sing the ABC's, says please & thank you, just to name a few things. We practice most of these things at home but being that she's at daycare most of the day, I have to thank her teachers for that. This month will be the first month that there will be holiday events/festivals since the previous ownership and we are super excited to see what everything is going to be like.

Also, they film your kids yes take horrible videos of them acting out. It was brought to our attention that Louis had a temper tantrum and they videotaped it and allowed him to continue for 15 minutes without consolation they in fact, told one of the teachers to leave him alone who was going over to him to console him! Upon investigating what happened to him it was the first thing that came out of there mouths ,after calling him a liar until I had to step in front of the abuser because she was noticing intimidating him. He was acting very strange and scared and also confused. We stayed longer I talked to him and we waited for them to close because we thought someone else was there and then I asked him to point her out he did! Then he said SHE HIT ME and called me a puppy he demonstrated and then said she made me cry and made me angry. (She didn't call him a puppy, she in fact was Hispanic and called him papi).The owner is African the teachers are mostly Hispanic one is about 23 who was in fact his teacher! They are all liars and I would never recommend this place, it's hazardous my Grandson still randomly tells people about the incident it's been 5 months we still don't have him in daycare . It's funny that they had a video of him catching a tantrum and not of when he ran away to go to the restroom after the same lady threatened him that he wouldn't have pizza which is his favorite. She ran behind him and beat him in the bathroom pinching his ears and all. I really think she doesn't like black kids. They cover for each other and lie. He is traumatized! We are too and very hurt! The director will feed you a bunch of nonsense because she protects her teachers not the students she doesn't care about those kids she has multiple locations and should not be around kids. She allows this to happen but would swear she is not about that but she is evil and conniving! I believed her until she said she was going to be on the look out like why would you jeopardize children? WHY? When we started the search for day care and walked into TGTA, Ms. Toma instantly made us feel welcome and safe. She encouraged us to ask questions and visit as many other facilities to feel confident in our decision. Needless to say we knew from the start that TGTA was the right fit. Every morning our toddler runs up to her teachers and gives a big bear hug, which is a constant reminder to me of how much she enjoys her time here. I appreciate that she gets designated reading, music and art time. We find that her vocabulary, social skills and general curiosity are increasing by the day. For our infant, we receive daily reports for feeding, naps, diapers, etc which makes the transition from school to home that much easier.
