Many-a-cruise-ship-passenger has probably been here, as its part of one of the shore excursions wi Celebrity Cruises. ATMOSPHERE: Old, rustic & medeival manor. I'm not quite sure of the name of the room we ate in, but its on the upper level of the manor. Small windows overlooking the pasture land. BEVERAGE: Karhu beer - We love to try the local beer. It was nothing special. FOOD (PRE-SELECTED FOR TOUR GROUPS): Stuffed beef - 2 slices of a meatloaf-style concuction, not sure what it was stuffed with, but came with a mildly salty dark brown gravy, steamed-to-death carrots and green beans and a potato croquette. I loathe tour-group food! DESSERT (PRE-SELECTED): 2 vanilla-flavored cream tarts with blueberries & strawberries over a pink & white fruity cream sauce. It was alright. SERVICE: Friendly but nothing special, as the meals are pre-plated and just brought to your table. OVERALL: It was an alright place to see as it was part of a tour package, but I wouldn't recommend it as an ala carte thing to do while in Porvoo. read more
