I usually avoid perfumeries because the are synthetic and boring but I was overjoyed by several things about this shop. The first was it was beautiful and could tell that these were real fragrances made with real oils. The second is that there is a the woman that greets me in such a great way. First of all, she notices my back with an iron on patch of a tape cassette that reads, "Kate Bush". We have bonded over the love of this artist and she carefully listens to my fragrance preferences and I leave with multiple fragrances... each time. Every time I return, I go straight to see Claudia Pepper (best name ever) and purchase my fragrances. When I get home, people stop me to ask me where I got my fragrances. They are the most unique I have ever had. Even still, we feel so joyous every time we see Claudia Pepper and we buy more than we should... but it has to last until we return! Ale-Hop sells a variety of things from notebooks and pens, to little toys, blankets, backpacks and purses. They have a massage chair that is really nice. You can buy the electronic item which straps on to a chair for less than $40 dollars but why buy when you can just pop into the store and get a free massage. The notebooks have sayings on them that are either in Spanish or English. I opted for the Spanish ones. After all, its something from Spain!

After leaving and thinking about it, we decided to return for the purchase and she couldn't have been happier. The store's selection is great and the staff is very friendly. Here's where it goes from a "good" experience to a "great" one! A few days later our luggage was stolen just before we left the country. While we mostly lost only clothes and toiletries, the ring my wife purchased was in the bag. Distraught, we mentally wrote it off as a loss. Upon my return to the US, I took it upon myself to do what I could to locate the store and see if there was any way to obtain a replacement. Despite the language, distance, and time differences, Munira sent me photos of rings and took down my descriptions until we identified one by the same artist that was very similar. After we figured out the PayPal process (sorry, not a payment system I usually use!), she shipped it to me in time for me to give it to my wife on our 10th anniversary. The look on my wife's face was not measurable by any star-rating and for this moment of joy I will always be grateful to Munira for all of the time and effort she spent helping to make it happen.
