I am happy I found this swimming hall quite close to home. Take note though that during evenings…read moreand weekends it will be packed full with kids and adult swimmers. The place is quite small but on the other hand it is clean and bright which opens it up a bit. When paying for your stay remember that they only accept dankort and cash. You can pay per go which is quite cheap at 20DKK if you're swimming during their "green" hours, otherwise it is 40DKK. They also offer a monthly card plus a stamp card for ten times (where you actually get 12 sessions). For me the monthly card and the stamp card don't really make sense (even though I got a stamp card at first) since I have been able to get there during the cheaper green hours during day and morning. The changing rooms are alright even though the showers are not that well planned out, can get a bit cramped. They also have a sauna which I never tried though. There are two pools one with six lanes measuring 25m and another one which is a shallow, warm pool mostly for playing and relaxing = usually a lot of children. As mentioned it can get really crowded so I made it my mission to find the off hours and I think I've found it, lunch swimming ftw! :) What I really like about this swimming hall is that the ceiling is see-through so on sunny days you can do your back strokes and watch the blue sky and birds flying past. It really does wonders and compensates for those stressful days at work. It also brightens up the entire pool area. The staff is friendly and has been helpful. One time they actually stopped me from using the stamp card since it was cheaper to pay cash, which goes to show they are service minded! You can actually take a virtual tour using Google street view, indoors: https://www.google.com/maps?z=5&layer=c&panoid=viNu8bVjFRMAAAQJORzv1Q&cbp=12,212.7400054931641,,0,9.34000015258789&hl=en-US&gl=US

Copenhagen weather is known to be unpredictable and the day we wanted to walk around and explore,…read morethere was a heavy rainstorm. Rather than being stuck in our hotel, we opted for exercise. The close proximity to the central train station and our hotel is a plus. It also meant having lots of tourists dropping by with the same idea we did. Nevertheless, this place seems to be frequented by locals as well, because the baby pool was CROWDED. (the pool was nice and warm though!) Hubby swims like a fish and he really enjoyed the circular swimming pool. The lap pool is an odd shape, so everyone has to swim in one direction. The water is cool and clean, but seeing the other yelp reviews, it gets disgusting and murky in the afternoon. (we came around 9am) The entrance free, after 9am, is 65 Dkk. Locker facilities are well equipped and spacious, plenty of private changing rooms for the ladies so if you're shy baring down in front of strangers, take advantage of the stall. There are also soap/shampoo provided but everything else, you would've to bring on your own. If you've had one too many Danish pastries (and you will), put on your swim suit and do laps around the pool. You'll burn calories and make room for more.

DGI water culture house contains of several swimming pools, hot pool area, sauna etc. I am there to…read morefine polish my swimming techniques so I like to go there in the morning.. The main swimming area is shaped as a 100 m long ring, so you swim in a circle. I am not very found of the circle shape because you tend to bend your body in the direction you're swimming.. The water is very clean in the morning but in the afternoon, as in every place In central Copenhagen, there are too many people and the ring gets too crowded and the water gets muggy. The location of DGI is right next to the grand central station and in the radius of 100 m there are several hotels which means DGI is very popular among tourists.. I prefer not getting splashed too much in the water and if you're like me then you should pay DGI a visit in the morning.. It is one of the few swimming areas which open from 6 am and the entrance is almost half price between 06-09 am..
