Small swimming pool, slide, 25meter swimming pool and garden. Really ideal when the weather is beautifull. The indoor pool is a 50 meter one. And enough lanes to share. There is also a small pool to play around in. In the men's room you'll find a sauna and it's all very clean. Winter and summer, this pool can be nice !!!

The pool is open for public (I think) until 5-6 pm because afterwards there are trainings. Very friendly and attentive staff and lifeguards. Nice changing rooms with lockers (connected to a wristband everyone gets when buying entrance ticket). In the summer months there is also an outdoor water slide. Great place with good prices and student discounts.

Multiple styles of sauna, foot therapy, two hot tubs, large changing rooms, steam rooms, and heated lounge chairs scatter the lower level of this swimming facility. To sit in a Caldarium and wonder about world domination is a noble leisurely activity. Shouts to Rome for creating some grandiose simplicity for me to enjoy. I know no reason why you wouldn't want to come take part in a little reset button for the low. This spot is well-cleaned, easy to use, and holds options for the picky people of the world. There are different criteria for this I guess, preferably it should be close to either work or home and it should also be somewhat modern, or at least clean. This one is quite close to the office and walking distance from Birkerød station, placed just next to (or as a part of) Birkerød sports center. So we can check proximity of the list. It is however quite old and it shows on worn down, brown wooden walls and locker doors barely hanging on to one hinge. There are cracks in the tiles and a "not-so-clean"-vibe, I'm not saying it isn't clean but you just get that feeling, like an old gymnasium. I have high hopes that the renovation that is currently underway might change this and will update my review if so. There's usually a lane free (think there are about six in each) and they have at least two separate 25m pools available plus there is also a hot water basin in a separate area. During the mornings there have been some occasions when zig-zagging has been necessary, but it is quite rare. The staff is friendly but do remember that they can only accept cash and even then they sometimes struggle with change, so if you want to become a regular I suggest you get the 10 or 20 ticket bundles. An OK hall, and not at all as crowded as say Frederiksberg Svømmehal, or Kildskovens Svømmehal, due to the location I would presume. It is nice not having to fight for a lane. :) During the renovation period you have to enter through the back, the handicap entrance and it is a bit of a hassle with the smaller changing areas etc. But good things come to those who wait I guess.

The building was built to be a social gathering point, where family and friends could go for recreation and for a bath. Most homes didn't have bathroom at that time in history. Schoolchildren from Frederiksberg have leant to swim here ever since. Frederiksberg Svømmehal should not only be a place for the body but also for the mind. Wilhelm Lundstrøm did some beautiful mosaics for the walls. You can also find a lot of sculptures. I like the classic and functional look of building. Clearly the have done most of the conversion and modernization in the same spirit as it was done originally. At Frederiksberg Svømmehal you naturally can go for a swim and play in the water. Weekends and holidays they have a special area open for smaller children. It is also well renowned for the spa and wellness facilities. Fitness World also have a gym in the building. The 5th star could only come into play, if the got a 50 meter pool.

The place is quite small but on the other hand it is clean and bright which opens it up a bit. When paying for your stay remember that they only accept dankort and cash. You can pay per go which is quite cheap at 20DKK if you're swimming during their "green" hours, otherwise it is 40DKK. They also offer a monthly card plus a stamp card for ten times (where you actually get 12 sessions). For me the monthly card and the stamp card don't really make sense (even though I got a stamp card at first) since I have been able to get there during the cheaper green hours during day and morning. The changing rooms are alright even though the showers are not that well planned out, can get a bit cramped. They also have a sauna which I never tried though. There are two pools one with six lanes measuring 25m and another one which is a shallow, warm pool mostly for playing and relaxing = usually a lot of children. As mentioned it can get really crowded so I made it my mission to find the off hours and I think I've found it, lunch swimming ftw! :) What I really like about this swimming hall is that the ceiling is see-through so on sunny days you can do your back strokes and watch the blue sky and birds flying past. It really does wonders and compensates for those stressful days at work. It also brightens up the entire pool area. The staff is friendly and has been helpful. One time they actually stopped me from using the stamp card since it was cheaper to pay cash, which goes to show they are service minded! Don't get me wrong, I am an extremely happy crossfitter, and believe that Crossfit Copenhagen is THE place for a crossfitter, but I do miss spinning and cardio training and was happy to find that FitnessDK was just the place that I was looking for :-) The staff in the Lyngby center is friendly and always smiling. I miss personal training though, maybe not as common here as in Sweden?
