The negative side would be the houses looked all the same and were side by side together. What enticed me the most about the community was the lake, called "Oquirrh Lake" which runs through a bridge called "The Cross Water Bridge." The trail or lake is one of the amenities the community has, with a running trail made of asphalt. There are many ducks, and wildlife all around, especially around the boardwalk. Adjacent to the community are businesses such as salons/Barbershops, a market, and restaurants all within walking distance. In contrast, to the comments posted previously, I cannot attest to any of that since I am not a resident and just someone passing through.

I have a two bedroom with 2.5 baths and the extra half bath downstairs is terrific for guests. Now let's talk safety...I have never experienced one criminal thing here. we have 24 hour security and are nestled back in the mountain so you have to drive up to us from Highland drive. We all leave our packages from Amazon out, no worries of theft. it's as quiet at 12 pm as it is a 12 am. The kids here have free roam of the streets! They bike, skate and trick or treat like they did 20 years ago. The staff are amazing!! Jessica, Ruth and Logan are literally at your beck and call and maintenance is right on it, whatever you need...no waiting time. The schools are great and we are less than a mile from Harmons, Walgreens and other shops. The management has parties and activities for us all the time and at Christmas...wrapping paper and all the goods are free!! This is a home community. We know each other but maintain our privacy. Washer and dryers are included, along with a full kitchen and patio or deck. So you have your own little fenced in back yard. Pets are welcomed. I do not see myself as a ever moving. Down the hill is Highland Drive and entrance to I-15...so commuting is right there but far enough you don't have noise. We do not get the inversion but can see it from our views and I would rather see it than breathe it! If you are looking for an apartment, short term, people moving in and out this is not for you and their are plenty of those downtown...but if you are looking for a home, a place that is beautiful, stable and safe? This is where it's at!! Call for a tour today!! Oh, and Liberty Hill is reasonable and not above market rate rent. Come by and have a cup of coffee!

Here's the catch: MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THEY SAY! Let me be clear... I've lived here across two units for over two years, and I loved my experience. I made many friends here, and I'm glad I chose VotP. That being said, I believe it is overpriced for the sheer fact that I pay more than originally advertised--even at a discount on monthly rent--by roughly $30 more than the higher average advertised on paper and the website. Despite most of us being out of the apartment over holiday periods for weeks at a time and double-checking that lights are off, we have yet to see our utility bills lower respectively. To our surprise, they have only gotten more expensive. READ YOUR LEASE AND ARGUE WITH MANAGEMENT. Taken directly from my lease: "Resident may be paying for part of the utility usage in common areas or in other residential units..." They will charge a $10 administrative fee on top of your utilities, which is not reflected on paper or online, and you are expected to pay for part of the utilities for the complex--which includes other residential units! If you decide to live here, max out the provided ranges of charges and expect to pay $30-$50 more per month. Everyone I have talked to about this who lives here has said the same thing: it is more expensive than expected. KEEP RECORD OF EVERYTHING. Take as many screenshots and pictures as possible. Record cleaning checks, conversations with management, and any other interactions. This is only the tip of the iceberg. I could also talk about the hot tub and pool being out of order for days to weeks at a time at random, fire pits having broken ignition or missing keys, or poor communication with the office. Any reviews you read that mention an employee's name you can ignore, as they are probably only there to receive a discount on key replacements or other deals made to make this complex look good. I would know--I have been offered such deals.

If they have dogs, it will sound like they are in the room with you! Our neighbors above us have a dog and it's super loud and annoying! We've complained to management, and they don't care! The hot tub hasn't worked the entire time we've lived here. The pool is dirty and disgusting! The elevator is out of service often, and if you live on high floors you're climbing stairs! The main floor reeks of dog shampoo!! It's gross! Our dryer was having issues, extremely loud and sounded like it was rubbing sandpaper when running. Maintenance was requested. Weeks later they came, quickly took a look and said "there's no issue." They didn't care that it was loud! Looks are deceiving!!! Don't sign the contract!! Don't do it!
